A Heartwarmer: Never forget

As many of you know, Tuesday, will be the 6 year Anniversarry of 9-11.
Last year, Darrell and I did an entire show, recalling where we were on
that, September day and sent a tribute to all the families who lost a
love one then.
At times like then, it really hits home and makes us all stop and think
about what is most important and how precious life really is, reminds us,
that there is not always tomorrow, and that we all need to live for
today. Join Darrell, tomorrow, on our Desert Cafe show and we will play
some 9-11 music. he will also play some upbeat tunes too and give you
some tech news. I have to work but will be there in spirit.
For now, look at the below Heartwarmers and reflect back, where you were.
Until, take care and stay well.
best thing to happen to mornings since the Sun!

NEVER FORGET
by Anita Burney

As the anniversary of 9/11 approaches, I can't help but think of
the firemen who went up in that burning tower and what must have been
going through their minds. I wrote the following poem in memory of
those brave men who lost their lives in that inferno:

FIREMEN

We never can forget,
The ones in that tragic hour,
Who trudged up the steps
Of that burning tower.

They met people going down,
But kept going the other way,
And some gave their lives,
On that terrible day.

If you asked a fireman,
Why he was so brave,
He'd tell you it was his job,
And ask only that you pray.

We only can imagine,
What was on their minds,
As they went ever onward,
Not knowing what they'd find.

It takes a special person,
Willing to give his all,
A fireman always ready,
To answer when we call.

So when you bow your head,
And say your nightly prayers,
Ask God to bless the firemen,
And keep them in His care.
