Its 91 degrees. I will do my very best,
to create another dose ,
and give you the highlights ,the most ,
interesting and eventful things that have gone on for Darrell and me ,
these last few weeks or so ,
& other things I'd think you like to know.
On St. Patrick's Day we went to two Irish Pubs with a friend ,
Several hours at the Tempe Market place we did spend,
with our Friend Allison ,First at Darcy Mc Gees ,very crowded place ,for a
seat ,I had to wait,
I didn't even get there late,
actually,3 in the afternoon ,but they opened their doors at 6 ,that day ,
and Allison & Darrell were at a NFB meeting & were on their way ,
to meet me & Joyce ,
Later ,we made a second choice ,
and had more fun somewhere else that night.
I didn't grab a bite ,
or even get a drink ,till they did arrive,
and the music wasn't even live,
Yet, it was so packed ,every table filled ,it was hard to tell & hear,
Mostly a young crowd ,I think!,rowdy bunch ,probably consuming a lot of
green beer,
At the Tempe Market Place,on the district Stage, The Band Filter did
perform for everyone ,
To us three ,it didn't sound like fun ,
We wanted Live Irish Music ,this Band was alternative hard rock
,definitely,not for us ,
the parking lots were all full and Darrell and Allison took the bus
and Security helped us three get where we needed to go ,
At the pubs,heard they were going to have some shows ,
Some Dancers ,doing Irish Jigs & later , Bag pipers. I love to hear the
sound of these,
The weather was beautiful ,sunny and there was a nice breeze.
Before ,other places that afternoon ,I went,
I had a massage & then ,went to Bath & body works ,love their Citrus scents
,
My favorite store ,Don't go there often. now ,I will tell you more
about our visit to Darcy Mc Gees.
Our Server wasn't very friendly & said very little ,think she was having a
rough day
Too many people to serve perhaps? ,so long ,we didn't stay,
but we did order some Blarney Chips,
not spicy to the pallet , but do make your lips ,
dry. like Nachos , but are Fry's ,give them a try
they do taste good ,they ,we did share ,
Then ,left ,& went to another Pub there ,
at the Market Place ,called Thirsty Lion ,we like the name of this, one ,
Here ,we did have fun.
We had a much different experience at this Pub. our server was great,
we didn't stay out too,late ,
The food was very good & so was the conversation we had,
so ,very glad ,
We came here instead ,it was crowded , but not like MC Gees. Here too
,a Band did Play
and for a few hours we did stay ,Near the band we sat , and most of the
tunes Darrell and I knew,
had some mixed drinks ,time flew.
I think Darrell,Allison ,Mark and KJ,
The following Saturday ,went to see The Hunger Games ,it was opening that
day,
I had to work and not interested in that Movie , so for me,that was fine ,
But they all had a good time.
Easter we spent with Allison ,her Mom Kathy and Dave her Dad,
A good time we had ,
I only spent part of the weekend ,had to work on Easter Sunday ,but it all
went well,
We had a sold out hotel ,
On Friday ,we did dye eggs ,used various colors & wax crayons to write
names , or cute things ,like bunnies ,dogs , kitties or anything one wants
to make,
later that night ,we went out for Steak ,
went to the Texas Road house ,had a good time there too ,
Before the night was through ,
we made Rock Critters , we three made a bunny,
yeah,it may seem funny ,
But definitely it was creative and we had fun ,
They looked different than I imagined ,when it was all done ,
The art supplies , I got at Michael's Arts & crafts ,along with some clay.
Ceramics is a hobby of mine ,that I haven't done in awhile,
I feel its relaxing ,rewarding ,creative , and makes me smile.
Anyway , I bought gloss paint ,brushes ,pipe cleaners ,beads for the eyes ,
,they had various size ,
Sizes ,also got felt & pom pom's for the tail , this,was hard to do ,
mostly, using the glue
each piece,didn't easily stick ,
But ,I did like , the stuff I did pick ,
and chose for this activity ,
and fun ,we had ,Darrell,Allison and me.
One last thing ,I want to say before posting this to my blog,
I want to tell you about my Little Dougie Dog.
I keep in touch with his Family now and again ,
and he is almost thirteen ,not ten,
losing sight and hearing ,but doing ok ,
But ,I did get some sad news the other day.
A few weeks ago , I found out that he had a lump on his tongue ,they did a
biopsy ,the results we did wait,
as said,the news, isn't great ,
not at all ,its Cancer , and Surgery they don't want to do ,
not sure ,if he will make it through,
at his age. they will keep a close eye on him ,at changes of any kind,
this tumor ,I wish ,they didn't find ,
wish it wasn't so ,
I wasn't as , upset at the news ,but rather,I had to call them ,to know
to get the news , even though ,they said they would call me
That hurts after all ,in my heart he is still, my Pup ,you see
From what I understand he isn't in pain , and is doing alright ,
Is himself ,sweet ,a bit snarky and still sometimes ,does play,
Hoping we will be able to see him in may,
or June ,could be the last time,not sure ,hope not. hope he has another
year,
But who knows ?, and that is all ,that is happening here ,
I will definitely keep you all posted on Douglas,
and other things too,
now, going to listen to the rest of my friend Debbie's show ,very
relaxing ,soothing music she plays,
from ocean waves ,
environmental sounds and wonderful instrumentals every Tuesday night ,
