Today's KDD: Friends reuniting and visit to Temple Square

Its Tuesday August 7, at 10; 39,

How are you all? hope your are more then fine?

We are doing great; I am listening to the blend station,

On our xm radio, have been on vacation,

As some of you know,

Salt Lake City Utah, we did go,

This past weekend,

So, that is why, have not written my friend.

Hope you have been well? What is new?

Not sure how long this will be, once I am through,

A condensed KDD, I need to write,

Hope I am long done before tonight?

Have wasted much of my day,

Much, I want to say,

As well as need to order groceries from Safeway.

Have been off work since last Thursday morning, Since August two,

And the next morning, Darrell and I flew,

To Salt Lake City Utah, to visit friends of Darrell's, for them to reunite,

And I went along, so, I had no access to a computer, so, could not write,

And even if I had, would not take the time,

To compose a Kdd, or surf online,

I too, wanted to visit with his friends, whom, he has not seen in years,
more then a decade,

Very glad, the trip, we made.

And his friends Cyndi and Sheri, I had a chance to meet,

As well as, we, had some relief from the heat,

And also Their Mom Carol and Sheri's Husband Chris,

We met, but, writing, and you all I did miss.

Darrell has known Cyndi and Sheri since he was 14,

And 15 years have passed, since, they, he has seen,

And 20 years since, they first met in High School, Palo-Verde High in
Tucson, not Flagstaff,

They all had much fun and lots of laughs,

After School, went their separate ways,

Yet, here, this past weekend, they got to reminisce, remember the good ole
days,

College, Married with children, had jobs, living life took the winding
road,

Each, have carried a heavy load,

Like most through the years yet, friends, they have managed to stay,

And I finally had an opportunity to meet them today.

Have heard so much over the years, what they were like, mostly Cyndi and
what she was like then,

What happened to her after School, her X-husband and Children,

Have 4, Josh, Carrie Ann, Alicia and Ben,

Two of them were here with us this past weekend, at Sheri's house, in her
neighborhood,

It was good,

Actually great,

And neither Darrell nor I have been to the State,

It was much fun,

We had some rain, yet mostly sun,

And not much time we had there,

Went to fast, yet, we we were able to share,

They had a chance to catch up and we visited Temple Square,

I had a chance to introduce myself and Dougie too, all he, they do adore,

Wish we could have stayed longer, spent time more,

And visit; get to know each other,

The two Sisters, Husband Chris, Children and Carol, their mother,

And some of their neighbors as well,

Very grateful for their hospitality, and we did not have to stay at a
Hotel.

In addition to the reunion, went there for a Baptism and a Blessing for
their, Daughter Christiana, whom is 8 weeks old,

In Church, is where it, they hold,

Unlike the Baptism, at the stake center it is instead, usually for Children
whom are 8, referred to the age of accountability

When receiving forgiveness of their sins and through confirmation, you see

Through Immersion,

When, it is complete, done,

It is then; they become members of the Church their Ward,

Darrell and I found it interesting and educational, and were not at all
bored.

The Baptism, for Sheri's 8 year old Son Trevor,

And that was the first Baptism ever,

That I witnessed in the Mormon Church okay,

It was a wonderful day,

Both on Saturday afternoon and Sunday,

Nice to see all get along, very close knit and the children play

One thing, I have to say,

The Mormons are very open minded, and accepting of others, even those
whom are not Members, even though people of most religions , others views
they don't understand or don't agree,,

With folks of other Faiths, if you don't agree

If you believe in another religion, have other beliefs,

Most, cannot turn over another leaf

Accept the person who they are, and what they do,

Even if the beliefs are not the same as you,

And they are sincere and stand by what they believe,

God and each other, they often, do not deceive,

And are very receptive

A hand they give,

Open their hearts and their home,

If, another faith, has your mind, body and soul, elsewhere you roam,

Or don't belong,

They don't criticize, tell another, they are wrong,

Unlike most religions, Catholics are similar to the Mormons too, yet, not to
the same degree,

So nice to see,

And very refreshing indeed,

If more information you wanton need,

About the Mormon Faith, go to LDS.org, that web site,

Will find an abundance of information alright?

Went to the site last night

And it was very worthwhile, and much I did gain,

The information, I hope to retain.

While we were in Salt Lake City, we went to the Temple square,

It was three,

Time, we had spent,

Glad, we went,

We had a tour, and spoke to two Missionaries, one from Japan and the other,
Germany

To all of us, not just Darrell and me,

Provided a foundation, for us all,

Someone red a narration and we all visited the assembly hall,

Spoke about their life, what they do believe,

Red from the book of Mormon, was informed, when, we did leave,

, it was an experience, that neither of us will forget,

It was worth the visit, being out of town, and off the net.

Not only this, but, we had a chance to hear the Tabernacle Choir perform,

Missed it on Friday afternoon, due to construction and the rain storm,

Yet, we had an opportunity on Saturday,

To hear the Organ play,

, the History, how old it is, how it's restored and hear, without any
microphones,

Her the beautiful tones,

And what the acoustics sound like there

And for the members to share,

Their talent and gift,

Our spirits, they did lift,

It was amazing and to hear, to witness,

If you have-not heard, don't miss

It's just incredible, what they can do, how they play, what an amazing
sound they make,

I am sure, it takes years of practice and to have that expertise

The ability, for the air in the pipes to be released,

Through pipes, knobs and foot pedals, that is it,

Somehow, they make it all fit

What an incredible sound,

I am sure, somewhere there is information that can be found,

Or in person instead go,

And like some, if you don't like snow,

, ,

You can visit Temple Square, another time of year,

Will bring joy, not tears,

Won't make you sad,

a fun time by all was had.

Not only Temple Square, we went,

At Sheri's home much time was spent,

Great company food and many people to meet,

Some of their family and neighbors on their street.

Friday night Sheri made lasagna, not spaghetti,

For more then three,

More like 11, not 8,

It was delicious so was the cook out, it was all great,

The barbecue we had Saturday evening, burgers, potatoes, and salad green,

As well as fruit, and cake, not smoares

And not much rain, some ate outdoors,

And many of us, played with Dougie, let him run,

We all were exhausted by the time the weekend was over, activities were
done

After Christiana's Blessing on Sunday morning,

Sheri made a ham, mashed potatoes, rolls and salads green,

And two pies Strawberry and Cherry, had much of it, the sugar went to my
brain,

And weight, I probably did gain.

She also made French toast, bacon, pancakes, eggs and stuff for
breakfast, an army she fed,

We were up early around 7 and around 11, went to bed.

We had an excellent flight to and from, met nice folks along the way

And yesterday, music for our show we did play,

Had fun in the desert Café,

Glad Cyndi and company you were able to listen wish longer you could have
stayed,

Yet, hope you enjoyed your Birthday Celebration?

And remember, we are on the air from 4 to 7, your time, on the ACB R I
station.

We played clips from Temple Square,

And music from the late 80's, we did share,

To continue the reunion,

Hope you all had fun?

And enjoyed our chatter and music mix?

And its now, 1; 26,

This is taking a long time had much to say,

Yet, do need to get on my way,

I had 4 days worth of material so this did not surprise me

Five pages this will be.

I do need to do housework and order groceries from Safeway,

So will Write another time, have a great day.
