Today's KDD: Not feelling great,When I was 8 and ACB Radio's Birthday

Today, is August Thirty-one,

Not much today, I have done,

It is now 2; 32,

Things I need to do,

Like housework, always something to clean, scrub, mop or dust

And the day after Tomorrow I resume work, I must,

Don't really want to go,

And later, we will listen to Larry T, do his Show

On ACB Radio, Celebrating ACB Radio's 8 TH Birthday

What we have heard so far, we have liked what they have all played

Today, I am not feeling the best. Earlier I had an allergy Attack
sneezing and congested,

Took a Claritin, and rested

Feel better,yet,lost some time

And should get to bed by nine,

Tonight and Tomorrow, since Tuesday have to be up at 4;30

And should go clean, have a kitchen that is dirty

Rather read another book," Dragon Tears"

And I remember 8, that was many years,

Ago, that I was 8,

It was 1972,73 was the date

Hard to believe I am that old

And I am looking forward to the cold,

To the fall

And 8 was a very good year for me, much I do recall.

As some of you know, I had many obstacles to overcome, in my path,

And even back then, I wasn't very good at math

Enjoyed reading more, still did not read as much for pleasure

And back then, had rhythm, loved to dance and sing, memorized each measure

To my favorite songs on the radio,

And after School Ballet and Brownies I would go

During that year, much I did learn, not just academically,

Things then, finally, started became easier for me

Like playing basketball, riding a bike, did not need my training wheels
anymore,

And swimming, loved the shore,

The beach, in Maine,

And no longer "patterned" needed my Brain,

I was delighted

And not really adjusted, being among the blind and the sighted

I felt like I was in two worlds in" no man's land"

I was legally blind but not fully sighted, understand

I had partial sight,

And even back then, I express my thoughts best when I did write,

I had that writing bug, even as a little girl too,

And I red Nancy Drew

And still read mysteries today

And at the Moment,, I hear Prince,1999, play

And should go soon okay ?

If you want to know more about ", Patterning" I will enclose the link,

It had an major impact on who I am today, enabled me to think

Will provide you all with the URL,

And you can research on what they do with Children with TBI and those, who
are well

I had a TBI. Traumatic Brain Injury, related to my eye condition

You can read all about the institutes, all that they do, their philosophy
and mission

Truly think, I would not be the same person, would not achieved as much,
wouldn't had

I owe most of it, to my Mom and Dad,

For all they have done,

Especially then, it was after 8, that I began to have fun.

Well, 30 minutes have passed,

And time is ticking, this day will not last

I have a kitchen to clean, nicer it will be,

And other things that need my attention, that if I don't do, will be waiting
for me. Lol

There is always another time, another day,

Yet," no time like the Present, as they say

For August, I only have posted 6 KDD's to my site,

Hopefully, more in September I will write?"

That does all Depend, if my work situation has improved? I think, that is
the case,

Reality is, I have to return to my work place

Tuesday morning, September two,

And so do many of you,

Most will Either go to work or school, contribute somehow in your
Community

That is the way, it should be.

Take good care, stay safe this Labor day weekend

And check my site another time my friend.

Today's KDD: Celebrating ACB Radio's Birthday and Red "Hideaway"

Today is August 30, Labor Day Weekend,

How are you my Friend?

It is almost mid day,

And it is ACB Radio's Birthday

ACB Radio is 8

Many staff does Celebrate,

I am listening to Interactive as we speak, write,

And fortunately, we did not get a storm last night,

Yet, we did the night before

And by the end of the weekend, we will get more

Rain, hail, and strong wind, at times, 100 MPH we also lost power,

And I still haven't taken a shower

Sitting in my slippers and P J's,

And I return to work in 4 days.

I have enjoyed my vacation, did not do much, and got much rest,

And later today, going to Applebee's for lunch, delicious food we will
digest,

They have a special, Endless Shrimp ribs and chicken fingers. scrumptious
indeed,

And another Novel, I did read,

Dean Koontz, "Hideaway" also filled with suspense,

And the storm the other night was quite intense.

The storm kept us awake

We thought our window was going to break

Whistling was the wind, I am sure trees were swaying

Not going anywhere this weekend, home we will be staying,

Except to Applebee's,

And we definitely had much more then a breeze,

The other night,

If we could see, am sure it would have been a sight,

And we had a small leak,

And hope you all had a good week?

The hail had made too holes in our window frame, we placed a bucket
under,

And all night, we heard thunder,

We were worried our carpet would get wet,

And we are listening to Naama and Jeff on the net

I think some of you would like "hideaway" if you like mysteries, then you
will

And Applebee's we will get our fill.

The basic premise is this couple is struck in their car by a drunk driver,
the wife, barely alive

And the husband dead, before the hospital they do arrive,

They both have hypothermia and injuries,

The Wife is semi conscious, only can whisper, Help please!

Which they do get they are rescued, treatment they do receive,

Yet, the rest you may not believe

The husband was resuscitated and brought back to life,

Amazed is his Wife,

And the medical staff,

But, this is not the half,

The mystery is, that this man is somehow linked to another person whom is
between two worlds among the living and the dead

And this Guys, sees vision, sees things in his head,

They are satanic thoughts,

And after a couple months, help he sought,

Yet his Doctor says nothing is wrong

But did not take long,

When he began having nightmares and the visions became much stronger, quite
vivid: of course now, affecting his life

And this evil man, locates him, attempts to kill his daughter and wife,

This younger man hasn't made it to the other side,

And right now, Darrell is reading a book for School, called Words Collide,

Teaching one how to write, grammar, sentence structure, so our writing is
clear, crisp, and lively,

And I know, not much these days, your hearing from me.

Though, I am not taking the class, I will be reading this book as well,

And this Guy who is quite deranged has not quite gone to hell,

No more I will say,

Don't want to give it all away

We may go for a swim,

And Darrell began his classes; things are going well for him,

Need to go get dressed,

And feeling pretty good definitely did get some rest

My body and mind are more in sink,

And this afternoon, not going to get anything to drink,

At least, I don't think?

It isn't 5 o'clock anywhere

And yesterday, our maintenance Guy Jim, our window frame, he did repair

The window frame from the outside he did seal,

And always at Applebee's we do have a good meal

Just came back from there had both dinner and lunch,

We did not get appetizers to munch,

Yet, the endless special platter

The shrimp was not dipped in beer batter

But was fried, preferred grilled then fried

Had shrimp and fries on the side,

Then had ribs and I had a drink, yes one in the middle of the day,

, We are expected more Thunderstorms today,

I had a screwdriver O.J and Vodka, not Gin or beer,

And ACB Radio will begin its ninth year.

I do recall when I was 8, much easier information at that time, I did
retain,

And in the summer we went to Maine,

Since I was about 3,

Everything seemed to click and fall into place, at 8; we were living in
New Jersey,on Pembroke Trail

I loved to write letters, would send snail mail,

Enjoyed running, music and ballet,

And almost over is the day

It is after 5 O'clock,

And hanging out with Debbie, Jeff and Darrell, playing rock,

And discussing funny moments on the air and an impossible question we did
play,

Also joined the Virtual Birthday Party was Jorgen, Monte and Johnny J,

Take good care, okay?

Not sure when I will write? when, that will be?

, so, stay tuned for another KDD,

Same place, different time, my friend,

And enjoy your Labor Day Weekend.

Today's KDD: Giving you all an Update finally Today and The Olympic results for the USA

Its Almost noon on Saturday August Twenty-three

I know it has been a very long time since you all have heard from me,

Over a month in Fact,

Do I still have the Knack?

Have I lost the technique?

Since, it has been several weeks?

Who knows, we shall see,

Once, is completed this KDD?

We have been exhausted, under much stress, there has been tension

So, here, nothing, I really could mention

Most of it, has to do with work,

Yet, still can't say much, because, you know, we never know, who does lurk?

And read what we write,

We never know who will visit our site.

They have issues with my performance, expressing concern,

Even though, I have received 7 positive Reviews and an award I did earn

They question my skills, abilities and method of doing the job, though; I
have been at this one for quite awhile,

Suddenly don't like my style.

In fact, it will be 8 years tomorrow August 24, that I began working for
the Hyatt Corporation

The Scottsdale Property, being one of the top Vacation spots, Resorts in
the Nation.

I have been on vacation; I have needed some much deserved Rest

And though, I have done my best,

My employer has made me feel stressed

For several months at a time

And hope you all have been well? Hope your doing fine?

And if this isn't enough, Darrell last month, became unemployed, can't say
much about this situation either, not here

Yet, no Worries, Darrell is getting in Gear

Is resuming his Studies, in Journalism, At ASU,

In about 3 years, he will be through

He too,

Will have a BA Degree, I think this is great

And this will be a positive Career change, may stay here? Or move out of
state?

Darrell is also having more Cornea surgery; it will be September Twenty-two

Initially, this month, it, they were going to do,

Yet, things were delayed; this is no ordinary Cornea Transplant, more to the
process,

More appointments, more tests,

A combination of a donor and an artificial kind,

No donars, yet they did find.

So, now, I have to coordinate more time off when, I go back to work on
September Two,

Being their for his Surgery, I will definitely do

And for some of his after care

And I am glad, finally now, I am able to share

With all of you, what is happening with us here, several weeks after?

There has not been much laughter

However we are finally getting on track, spending time together,

Tolerating this wicked hot weather,

Getting through, another summer. taking it one day,

At least, we don't have too worry about Storm Faye

Though, we do have monsoons, we don't experience tornados and Hurricanes

We have been getting rain

That we definitely need

And glad a KDD, you finally get to read.

I am sure many of you have been watching the Olympics? We have just
about every night and some during the day

Great, is doing the U S of A,

Total medals we have is 102,

China with 89 and Russia with 58,

That is what I heard last night late

Have been keeping track of the swimming, gymnastics, Track and Volleyball,

Of course, don't have interest in watching it all

I also like the diving, some of both the winter and Summer Olympic Games

I am sure by now; all of you heard the Names

Michael Phelps? Carrie Walsh? and Misty May?

Michael won 8 Gold's in Swimming and Carrie and Misty, in Volleyball, the
other day

The other night,

These two women, tall in Height

And won, 108 consecutive matches, that is the record they hold

They all deserve the Gold,

Even Shawn Johnson and Nastia Luikin, the 16 year olds,

On the U.S gymnastic team,

Achieved their Goals, completed their dream

I think those two, we will see in 2012, in Chicago?

None of us know, we have 4 more years to wait,

It is going on 1, getting late

I also heard, we won in Women's Basketball Today?

And last night Brian Clay,

Won the Gold, in the Decathlon 10 Events, running, jumping, swimming and
more for 36 hours,

All I would want to do, is go home, take a shower,

And get some rest for about two days Amazing, isn't it?

He is the World's Greatest Athlete, most definitely fit.

, well, need to run, this dose I want to post

Going to stay inside, not roast

Be smart, be where the Air Condition is, stay cool,

Tomorrow will get together with our Friend Alice from work, go swimming in
the pool

Take her out for her Birthday Dinner,

Today, tomorrow, watch more of the Games see more of the Winners

Not sure what we will do Labor Day Weekend? It is next,

Maybe, will read another Novel, on MP3 Audio, not text,

You all take care, alright,

And hopefully again soon, I will write.

Mountain Wings": The Tea Cup"

MountainWings A MountainWings Moment
#8204 Wings Over The Mountains of Life
-------------------------------------------------

The Tea Cup
===========

There was a couple who used to go to England to shop in the
beautiful stores. They both liked antiques and pottery and
especially teacups. This was their twenty-fifth wedding
anniversary and the shop they visited had a beautiful teacup.

They said to the shop assistant, "May we see that? We've never
seen one quite so beautiful." As the lady handed it over to them,
the teacup spoke suddenly.

"You don't understand," it said. "I haven't always been a teacup.
There was a time when I was red and I was clay. My master took
me, rolled me, patted me over and over and I yelled out,
'Let me alone' but he only smiled, 'Not yet.'

"Then I was placed on a spinning wheel," the teacup said,
"and suddenly I was spun around. 'Stop it! I'm getting dizzy!'
I screamed. But the master only nodded and said, 'Not yet.'

Then he put me in the oven. I never felt such heat. I wondered
why he wanted to burn me, and I yelled and knocked at the door.
I could see him through the opening and I could read his lips as
he shook his head, 'Not yet.'

Finally the door opened, he put me on the shelf, and I began to
cool. 'There, that's better', I said. And he brushed and painted
me all over. The fumes were horrible. I thought I would gag.
'Stop it, stop it!' I cried. He only nodded, 'Not yet.'

Then suddenly he put me back into the oven, not like the first
one. This was twice as hot and I knew I would suffocate.
I begged. I pleaded. I screamed. I cried. All the time I could
see him through the opening nodding his head saying, 'Not yet.'

Then I knew there wasn't any hope. I would never make it.
I was ready to give up. But the door opened and he took me out
and placed me on the shelf. One hour later he handed me a
mirror and I couldn't believe it was me.
'It's beautiful. I'm beautiful.'

'I want you to remember, then,' he said, 'I know it hurts to be
rolled and patted, but if I had left you alone, you would have
dried up.

I know it made you dizzy to spin around on the wheel, but if I
had stopped, you would have crumbled.

I knew it hurt and was hot and disagreeable in the oven, but if
I hadn't put you there, you would have cracked.

I know the fumes were bad when I brushed and painted you all
over, but if I hadn't done that, you never would have hardened;
you would not have had any color in your life.

And if I hadn't put you back in that second oven, you wouldn't
survive for very long because the hardness would not have held.

Now you are a finished product.

You are what I had in mind when I first began with you.

Moral: God knows what He's doing for all of us. He is the
potter and we are His clay. He will mold us so that we may be
made into a flawless piece of work to fulfill His good,
pleasing, and perfect will.

Let this story remind you that God has a perfect plan for your
life. He may need to place some obstacles in your life to
strengthen your character, so that you may be strong in the days
of greater adversity. Don't get discouraged when you feel like
the heat of the struggle is going to burn you. God knows
exactly when to pull you out and deliver you from that problem
and when He does you will be much wiser and stronger than you
were before.

God knows your inner strength and ability to be strong even in
the midst of a problem.

I feel like the " Tea Cup "these last several months. I have been in the
hot seat and almost felt like I was hung to dry. Yet, I am still sitting
tall and I see brighter days. " My True Colors shine through and I am also

Wings, go to the Mountain Wings site and read it. What doesn't kill
us,makes us stronger",right?. I will explain more and attempt to compose a

Heartwarmers: Praying for those Who Dream

The best thing to happen to mornings since the Sun!

Your morning thought for the day:
So many of our dreams at first seem impossible,
then they seem improbable, and then, when we
summon the will, they soon become inevitable.
-- Christopher Reeve (Superman)

Have you been watching the Olympics? They say the swimming
records are being broken left and right because of the new swimsuit
design and because the pool is deeper and wider (less waves.)
Whatever the reason, it's exciting to see the athletes perform their
best for the gold they've always dreamed about.
But the Olympians aren't the only dreamers out there. Millions
of us have our own dreams that energize our motives and spark our
imaginations. The world may not be watching us on television, but
our dreams push us forward each day.
Today, Joe shares his thoughts about his loved ones and their
dreams. Thanks, Joe!
PRAYING FOR THOSE WHO DREAM
by Joseph Walker

As I write this, the five most important men in the world to me
are up to their ears in dream fulfillment.
No, I'm not talking about the latest version of the USA
Basketball Dream Team and their upcoming quest for Olympic gold.
Sure, I wish them well. I'll be watching, no doubt.
But I'm talking about the five men who are, or who will one day
be, the fathers of my grandchildren -- my two sons, my two
sons-in-law and a young man who, unless I miss my guess, appears
destined to be my future son-in-law.
These are five terrific young men, and I love each one of them
for the goodness of their souls. They all deserve my full and
undivided attention -- especially today. But today is a big day for
all of them simultaneously, and so my thoughts and prayers and
positive thoughts are being sent out in five different directions.
And I've got to tell you, I'm feeling fragmented.
This is spiritual and metaphysical multi-tasking of the first
order. And since I have a hard time walking and chewing gum at the
same time, this is a real stretch for me.
On the one hand, I'm wanting to focus on Joe Jr., who today
stands at the furthest edge of his life-long dream of one day being a
lawyer. Fresh out of law school, today he is taking his state's bar
exam. If he passes, the dream is fulfilled and he is a full-fledged
lawyer. If not... well, he still has that degree. But he isn't a
lawyer. Not really. Not yet.
On the other hand, I'm thinking of Jon, my youngest child, who
at this very moment may be standing in front of an "American Idol"
producer, singing his 16-year-old heart out. It will be the biggest
10 seconds of his life so far, and I can only support him in this
dream from here, with my hopes and prayers.
On the other hand, my son-in-law Adam is also awaiting his turn
in front of the "American Idol" producers. Adam is a little further
along in his aesthetic journey than Jon is, and a shot on this show
could help propel him toward is ultimate dream: Broadway. So I can't
help but pull for him, and hope the producers see all of the talent
and potential that I see in this great young man.
On the other hand, every day is a big day for my son-in-law
Brock, who is stationed with his Army unit in Baghdad. Brock is a
soldier with the soul of a poet, and he has a duffle bag full of
dreams for his future, all of which are on hold until he completes
this, his third tour of duty in Iraq. For today he shares a dream
with every soldier from every nation on every front line of armed
conflict. It's a simple dream: survival. May it be his. Especially
today.
And on the other hand, I'm also concerned about Hudson, who is
doing volunteer service for his church in Russia. Hudson has already
faced numerous threats and challenges from those who don't think well
of Americans in Russia, and evidently things are getting worse.
Hudson is someone else's son, but he's dear to my daughter, Beth, and
therefore dear to me. And I want him to be well and safe -- today
and always.
Let's see... that's one hand and four "other hands." Way more
than I can "handle," if you'll pardon the expression. So I offer my
positive thoughts and encouragement, and commend them all to God, and
trust that He will look after them wherever they are. Because I
can't.
It's a helpless feeling, isn't it?
Whether you're a parent or a sibling or a sweetheart or a
friend, it's hard to know that people who are dear to you are facing
difficult or important moments in their lives, and there isn't
anything you can do to help them.
And so we offer encouragement and we send out our positive
thoughts, in hopes that it makes a difference. And we leave the rest
to God.
Who, it turns out, sort of specializes in dream fulfillment.

DDD: Dougie here to write and our Technology not working Tonight

It's me Dougie Again,

Not John Steinbeck of" Mice and Men",

I am going through E-mail withdrawal,

So, I don't want to play ball

And I already ran through the house,

And I certainly can't use the mouse,

Nor want to chew on a bone,

And all who know me, I don't like to be alone.

Anyway, I am here to write,

And I over heard Mommy and Daddy say, they are bummed out, Miss Jeff's
show on Friday Nights,

And I have noticed they don't play music as much and not in party mode

And right now, eavesdropping on Daddy and Jeff, they are scripting,
debugging code ,

Usually, I am in a semi conscious state,

And today is 08.08.08

According to what Mommy told me,

And she also said, she is disappointed that she can not compose any KDD's,

Says, she hasn't written any in a month, not sure how many days this is ,
think 31?

Don't know, not sure exactly when a day is done,

Know, when its morning, when I see light and Mommy and Daddy wake me up,

Not always sure if it is morning, by them drinking coffee from their
favorite cup,

Their special mug,

And can't tell by a hug

Or a yawn,

That it is dawn,

When, it's dark, I know its night

And I am trying to write,

Hope Mommy's computer does not crash, down is both Internet and TV, Daddy
had the tech on the line, yet, and the connection was lost on his cell

This night,is not going well.

Either is the month Mommy and Daddy have had,

They are both exhausted ,stressed out and Mommy is Sad,

That she can not compose any doses for you,

Maybe, she will create one before next week is through?

She has 3 more days of work and then taking vacation , she says, one she
desperately needs

She is happy about that indeed

And Daddy is now, talking to a female tech, at least she speaks in a
natural tone, not like she is reading a script, typical at these call
centers, according to what mom and Dad have said many times,

And are you all surprised, even my doses rhyme?

I am a Miracle Dog,

And Mommy sure wishes she can post to her blog,

She isn't allowing me to tell you what is happening here, I amnot able,

And Dad is speaking to a nice lady, about resolving the phone, net and
cable,

Issues, we are having this evening, at least don't have any at our
apartment

Out by the pool,

And wish it was cool

Lately, we have been having rain, humidity is high, and the temperatures
are low,

And soon, you will all know

And will be updated on how things have been

And when, Mom was 10,

She wore Tie Dye t-shirts

Then, still often wore dresses and skirts

Not slacks and did not like and still don't like sandals

And growing up, rode a purple shwin and another with a banana seat with
funky handles,,

, then, too, she liked to write,

As well as fly a kite

Wow, so much I do remember about Mommy, simply amazing Huh? She is the best

And we still, don't have TV, phone and internet access,

And Mommy wanted to have me send this to the blog on this date,

It looks cool,08.08.08 lol

Our technology, has taken a dive,

And soon, Daddy will likely have his surgery, and start school on August
Twenty-five,

So, guess, Dad just said, a teck will show tomorrow? Someone will come to
the House. Yay, company to play with me

A supervisor I like to be,

Watch every move they make and see if the job gets done

I am here for them to have fun

And entertain me , bring me a snack,

Rub my belly, while lying on my back

Beg for more,

And now,its 8;34,

Now, Daddy is having a problem with his cell phone, and Dad and Jeff are
trouble shooting, they like to play,

And I need to go, okay?

Better, send this, get it out posted to Mom's web site

You all take care & have a good night. ,

Petwarmers: City Slicker

CITY SLICKER
by Carol J. Douglas

This is a letter from a "City Cat" to his "Country Cat" brothers
and sisters:

My dear brothers and sisters,
A year has passed since I was plucked from our litter in the
country and taken to the city to live. I feel this is a good time to
write to you and let you know what life is like here.
The most astonishing discovery I've made since moving here is
that the city mice are so different from the ones in the country.
For one thing, they all have bells inside! Not only that, but they
just lay on the floor waiting for me to pounce on them instead of
scampering away! I carry them in my mouth and bat them around just
like the little balls I find on the floor (also with those fabulous
bells inside). Such great fun!
Another great perk is that the people who adopted me are at my
beck and call. I only have to rub their legs and look at them
beseechingly and voila, I get a delicious treat! And if I don't like
the food they give me for my main meal, I simply sniff it and walk
away. A short time later they will fill my bowl with something more
to my liking.
These wonderful people have thought of everything.
For my entertainment they have provided me with a caged bird to
watch as well as many windows to enjoy the comings and goings of
other birds. Also, there is a large container filled with water and
swimming fish for my viewing pleasure. Some day I plan to put my paw
inside and grab a fish.
However, I spend the majority of my day napping. I have my
choice of beds all over the house. If I choose a chair that a person
was going to sit in, he or she will simply find another, albeit, a
more uncomfortable one. Sometimes I take pity on them and let them
have the chair while I graciously cuddle in their lap all the while
being stroked. I let them know I am pleased by purring contentedly.
When it is time to retire for the night, I have first choice of
the area on the bed that I find most comfortable. The people adjust
themselves around me. I let them sleep while I sleep. When I awaken
and want my breakfast, I stretch lazily and see if they are awake.
If they haven't awoken, I clean myself. And if they are still not
awake I gently walk around their heads. If I am still unsuccessful,
a few loud meows and pounces always works.
Ah, life is good here in the city.
Come and visit anytime. Must go and inspect my dinner!
Best Regards, Your city brother

Mountain Wings: How to install a Home Security System in the South

Hi All,

Some of you may find it surprising that I found this Mountain Wings funny.
I really think we should laugh at ourselves and find humor in things.
Though, I know at times it is difficult to do especially during the tough
times. Look below. Take care and I will do my best to write another Kdd
soon.
MountainWings A MountainWings Moment
#8205 Wings Over The Mountains of Life
-------------------------------------------------

How To Install A Home Security System In The South
===================================================

1. Go to a second-hand store and buy a pair of men's used size
14-16 work boots.

2. Place them on your front porch, along with a copy of Guns
and Ammo Magazine.

3. Put a few giant dog dishes next to the boots and magazines.

4. Leave a note on your door that reads:

Hey Bubba, Me, Big Jim, Duke and Slim went for more ammunition.
Back in an hour. Don't mess with the pit bulls - they attacked
the mailman this morning and messed him up real bad. I don't
think Killer took part in it but it was hard to tell from all
the blood. Anyway, I locked all four of 'em in the house.
Better wait outside.

Today's KDD: Dougie's Diagnostic products: The BARKENSTONE and PAWS

I know it has been almost 3 weeks since you have heard from me,

I am not really able to disclose what is happening you see,

So now, I will write from the Perspective of this puppy of mine,

Do hope your all well?, doing fine. ?

Last weekend, I had written a couple e-mails from Dougie's perspective that
couldn't be sent,

On how things went,

Have gone and are going for us,

Will express my thoughts, when settles the dust,

Not sure, when that will be?

So, now you will here from Dougie not me.

Recently Mommy and Daddy created an e-mail account

Even though, I am unable to read and not count ,

Nor do I have the ability to type on the keyboard,

As well as none of this technology I can afford,

Or even am consciously aware of,

But, Mommy ,Daddy, our family and our friends I do love

And I see them, sitting in the chair for hours at a time,

Some after dawn and even after nine,

At night,

Mommy loves to write,

I see her fingers striking the keys in a rhythmic way,

Wondering when, with me, she will play?

Or take me some place?

That we like? Think this is all a waste,

However, if you can't change their mind, join them instead,

So, thought I'd tell you what thoughts are in my head.

Daddy says, I have a little brain,

And much I don't like the rain

I become a soggy dog,

And I never checked out Mommy's blog,

Because even though,I am intelligent, and I know I am an exceptional
dog,

Yet, know I can't read and write,

Despite the fact I do have full sight.

I accept my strengths and weakness' unlike some,

And though, I know I am illiterate, I know I am not dumb,

I am quite cabable of problem solving and communicating what I need,

Even though, not a single word I can read.

If this is the case, then how can I read and write e-mail on my own?

How, is it possible for me to do this alone?

Of course we are all intra independent and need others help when
performing tasks,

I just ask,

Mommy and Daddy for help in my cute and adorable way

And they understand what I say.

Recently Mommy,Daddy and Tina came up with a new Machine ,

On the market, it isn't yet to be seen

It is called BARKENSTONE

It is not yet known

We just invented it last night

It is not just a device for folks without sight

But for puppies like me, to communicate,

It is cool, you would think it is great.

BARK Bark Activated Recognition Keyboard

This would likely be expensive, one, it, can not afford .

The way in witch it does work is I sit in front of the computer and gark

And then, the machine will convert my garks

Into printed words for humans to read,

Special software, you would need.

As said we just created this machine last night,so it isn't even in the
beta stages,

It will take ages

And probably not even get off the ground,

because I really can't write , that is not where my skills are, but I do
help Mommy get around

We also invented the PAWS,

I am sure it too, will have flaws,

It is the Puppy Activity Writing System, what do you think of this too?

Wouldn't it be cool if these were new,

Products on the market ?

Would they be sold on the net?

Just like Mommy's E-mail Pillow, she developed a long time ago ?

If about that you don't know

go to Mommy's web site

Several months ago, A KDd about the E-mail pillow, she did write.

I wish, I could tell how things are here, but Mommy and Daddy say,

Not today,

And not sure when,

But, how have you been?

As I said, Daddy created me an account on G-mail, that, can you believe?

And yes, mail I actually have received ,

Of course Mommy has to read it to me, but, I am okay with this,

And Mommy's KDD's ,do you all miss?

I will try and help and relax her so, she can compose more doses for you

Hopefully, soon, she will create something new,

For now, going to go,not much else to tell,

And besides,Mommy isn't feeling well,

So sending you all hugs and waggie tails your way,

And all of us here wish you all a good day.

Nethug Message: the Children

I really like this one,yet very sad. Look below.

A little girl, so all alone
Sat crying, so forlorn
Her little dog had ran away
Her heart was broken and torn

A little boy, the same age as she
Asked her why she cried
She looked up, with tear-stained cheeks
Her pain she could not hide

She told him of her little dog
That she just loved so well
And how he'd ran away from her
To where she couldn't tell

She said she'd called his name outloud
But he did not come back
She'd told her mommy and her dad
About her doggy, Jack

She'd asked if they would help her find
The little dog she loved
But they were much too busy again
So she prayed to God above

She asked if He would help her, please
For Jack was all she had
He loved her unconditionally
Not like her mom and dad

The little boy dropped down his head
His bare foot kicked a stone
He said his dad had went away
His mom leaves him all alone

The little girl looked up at him
Said it sounded like he was the one
An angel had said she'd meet a friend
And soon her trials would be done

The angel had said that the friend and she
Would find her little stray
And as they gathered him close to them
God would lead the way

She didn't know exactly what that meant
She just knew angels never lied
So with trust she held out her hand to him
Her smile growing wide

The little boy then took her hand
And they ran off down the street
They stopped and questioned everyone
That they chanced to meet

As they rounded a corner, they spotted Jack
In the street where he'd been struck
They ran out and gathered him close to them
They didn't see the truck

Two angels and a little dog
Abandoned here on earth
Were taken home by God that day
And given a brand new birth

Nethug Message: the Value of time

Hi All,
I know lately I am just sending nethug messages. I will try and send a
dose sometime. It is just, life has been very stressful for us and I
really can't even talk about the issues and concerns here. At least, at
this time. I am not able to express myself in a creative way either. I
know it has been two weeks since everyone has seen a KDd. Hopefully soon I
will be able to compose something for you all. For now, enjoy these Nethug
messages I am sending.

Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400.
It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening deletes whatever
part of the balance you failed to use during the day.

What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course! Each of us has such a
bank. Its name is TIME. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds.
Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to
invest to good purpose.

It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day it opens a new
account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day. If you fail to
use the day's deposits, the loss is yours. There is no going back. There is
no drawing against the "tomorrow".

You must live in the present on today's deposits. Invest it so as to get
from it the utmost in health, happiness and success!

The clock is running.
Make the most of today.

To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who failed a grade.

To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a
pre-mature baby.

To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of ONE DAY, ask a daily wage laborer with kids to feed.

To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.

To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed the train.

To realize the value of ONE SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an
accident.

To realize the value of ONE MILLI-SECOND, ask the person who won a silver
medal in the Olympics.

Treasure every moment that you have! And treasure it more because you shared
it with someone special, special enough to spend your time.

And remember that time waits for no one.
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow a mystery.
Today is a gift.
That's why it's called the present!

Nethug Message; Point of View

Hi All,
I know lately I have not posted anything for over a week. We have a lot
going on and we both are stressed out. I have so much on my mind and am
just not able to create anything for you. Hopefully, I will soon. Until
then, look below.

I've heard it said, "Don't go to bed
While hanging on to sorrow.
You may not have the chance to laugh
With those you love tomorrow."
You may not mean the words you speak
When anger takes its toll.
You may regret your actions
Once you've lost your self control.

When you've lost your temper
And you've said some hurtful things,
Think about the heartache
That your action sometimes brings.
You'll never get those moments back,
Such precious time to waste,
And all because of things you said
In anger and in haste.

So if you're loving someone
And your pride has settled in,
You may not ever have the chance
To say to them again,
"I love you and I miss you
And although we don't agree,
I'll try to see your point of view,
Please do the same for me."

Today's KDD: Concerned about our Independence and Enjoying our Freedom with close Friends

Happy Independence Day,
I know, I have been a way,
have not written a single word,
from me, you haven't heard
or seen anything,
No KDD's since June 26, I did bring
have brung, to you
and how are things?,what is new?

Happy 4 TH of July,
and I will tell you why,
I haven't made a peep,
Not much lately I do sleep,
feeling quite stressed indeed,
so, couldn't compose, and nothing for you all to read.

There are issues at the office, Over worked and under Staffed,
and that,is not the half!,
we have more business, there is more demands and things are more fast
pace,
so, issues, this last year, I have
faced.

Corporate has made changes ,has effected everyone,
not just herein the Valley of the sun
yet, definitely nation wide,
most days lately I have cried
and can't think much,
so, that is why, I haven't been in touch
My mind isn't as clear and my Blood pressure has rose
so, nothing I could compose
could barely get through the day,
to assist our guests who stay,
Here at our Resort,
and issues we are attempting to sort,
Through. needed some assistance from friends and Family
Hope, the situation will improve, that it will all be,
okay?, will be fine?
and have been anxious, not just about mine,
My job, as well,
In addition, to the uncertainty as to my employment at the hotel,
Darrell will be laid off by July 18,
that, isn't at all great,
Think that stinks you know?
very likely the unemployment line, he will have to go,
He is a very hard worker, has the skills, he is definitely able,
this concerns us. We have to pay our bills, put the food on the table
pay rent and so on,
and tomorrow, will get up soon after dawn
Jeff ,Keri and family will be coming down and we will spend time
together,
hope we all will have nicer weather?.

we weren't sure,if we were feeling well enough to have them here,
Yet, they are great friends of ours, are so very close and Dear
more like family
us, they just want to see.

They don't care, that are place is more messy and I have not gone
shopping, don't have much food in the house to eat
They know, we both are beat
Yet, I don't feel like a good Hostess, usually, when company comes, I am
prepared,
they don't care,,
they know we are under much pressure and stress, more then I am able to
convey,
said, it is all okay,
and really do understand, they don't cramp our style,
are lots of fun, we relax, they make us smile,
They have hearts of Gold and very cool,
and this weekend, hope to have lots of laughs, and go swimming in the pool,
hope none of us get burned? yet, will soak up the rays,
and later tonight, they will watch the fireworks display,
not me
I will be inside, you see,,
I am hypersensitive to loud sudden noise, also, don't like thunder,
but, the bed,I will not be under,
my covers, but will likely be listening to music on a walkman,
writing?, reading a book with my noise reduction headphones?, have on
the fan?

we really are looking forward again, to this weekend,
just wish, the stress would end,
we need some relief is there some in sight?
What is happening for Darrell, isn't right,
and though, my work situation has improved some, who knows what will
happen there?
I do think to some degree my Boss and others do care?
and do they find me to be a valued Employee ?
and very glad, we live in the land of the free,
and home of the brave ,
that we have many opportunities, this Country is the Melting Pot,
and this weekend it will be very hot.
The forecast looks very good, think we will be able to swim. low 80, high
108,
that,will be great,
there will be slight thunder showers in the afternoon they say,
but,it will be okay,
it will only be about 10 %,
so,in the pool, much time will be spent,
we will be careful in the sun,
and have fun,
don't want to be Kentucky Fried Karen again, you know?
and its almost 1 A.M, need to go,
get to bed,
and again, glad, you now had something to red
to read, your now caught up on things just wish I could say
that we are okay,
we will be,
Darrell and me,
we have each other, and a handful of others in our corner, in our ring,
and finally, this KDD to you I bring,
have a Happy and Safe Holiday alright?
and not sure when I will write
but, it shouldn't be more then a week, before a KDd I do send,
for now, take Care, Friend.

Nethug Message: The Heart of America

The Heart of America

America, land of the free
Home of the brave
Set off the fire works
Let your banners wave

From sea to shining sea
All across the land
Let people of all races
Come to together hand in hand

United we stand
Divided we fall
Let's put aside our differences
Once and for all

Thanking God for our freedom
Let's make a joyful sound
In the heart of America
Let love always be found

Today's KDD: Lightening Road and Watching The Eyes

It is Thursday June 26,at 12;18,

I know, no KDd's, you have seen,

In a week. there was nothing to read

A healthy Dose of Karen's creativity do you need?, lol

Sent your way?

To help you get through your day?

Have you missed the Daily doses sent?

Not sure where the time went?

As well as my ability to create?

Hope your all fine? Doing great?

Do you need my dose? a shot in your arm? or Back?

does the Jaws still attack?

or have you spotted the Eyes?

not at all by surprise

you knew, Tuesday was the day?

to play,

to test,

scripts for those of you who are blind can now digest.

, I know, some of you probably are struggling with something? Somewhere?

Just hang in there,

Either you or someone you know, going through a difficult time ?

That, things are not fine,

Yet, as they say, " it too, will pass",

And as far as the price of gas

It is effecting us all in many ways,

The price of everything, it has raised ,

Due to cost of fuel

And haven't been in the pool,

But, plan to go soon. will wait till the sun does set,

And again, I apologize, for not posting anything on the net,

To my blog,

Last Friday, took Dougie Dog,

To the doggie Spa, the groomers, to get bathed and shaved and a pedicure

And next door I were,

I was, getting an hour massage and an adjustment,

That was how the afternoon was spent.,

I don't like massages like most

And here in Phoenix, we do roast

It will be over 100 degrees. it will not end,

Till about September, and my Furry Friend,

Douglas feels really good with his new doo, he, everybody likes his look,

And recently, finished another Dean Koontz book.

I finished the novel, "Lightening" It was very good and I would recommend it
to you all,

And I am looking forward to the fall,

This novel has all Elements to make a good book, and the main
characters have closure,

And I have-not had any real exposure,

To the sun,

Have been working, not out having fun.

I will be careful and make sure, I use the sun block at least SPF 30 or
more,

I don't want to be red, blistering and very sore

Heat radiating and peeling. none I have to buy,

And hope Aloe I willnot have to apply?

I am not sure what else I have done?, can't remember! not very important
then

Pretty good, we have been,

Just working, reading, The same for Darrell too,

Not much else new,

That I can discuss at this time

And tomorrow we will go out to dine,

Dinner with our Friend Alice tomorrow night, not sure where we will go?,
looking for a new place to try,

Definitely not Ty

Found some new Restaurants on line, The Boat House and the Boston Bar and
Grill,

Both seem interesting. wherever we go, it will,

Be fun. Maybe, we will try this place called the " Melting Pot?

The food sounds good, it will be airconditioned, not at all hot.

Perhaps at a later date, I will write about the book? It had a good
ending,

And over the 4 Th of July, with the Bishop's again, we will be spending.

" Lightening" isn't really SCI FI. Definitely mystery, adventure and
action, keeps you enthralled

and the newest Beta version of Window Eyes, Darrell has installed

and think Tomorrow, he will put it on my Machine as well?,

and I don't have to return to the Hotel,

To work till Saturday, June 28,

And Tuesday's Main Menu Was great. ,

I will tell you more about all that later too, alright?

Just want to post this to my site.

I have hesitated running Window Eyes on my computer. yet,now , I am
ready to learn something new from GW Micro

What an excellent show

And hope I will like their screen Reader? I will take my time, will not go
too fast,

And if you are into time Travel and like looking back into the past,

And Here in the present and future and altering History and Dates?,

The Copyright was , in 1988,,

Then, if your intrigued, then it will be a good read for you,

And this KDd is almost through,

soon, it will be done

And if I don't write before then, hope for you, The Holiday will be safe
and fun?

Take good care my friend,

Have a good weekend.

Nethug Message: The Colors of Friendship

Once upon a time, The colors of the world
Started to quarrel. All claimed they were the best,
The most important, The most useful, The favorite.

"GREEN" said,
"Clearly I am the most important ...
I am the sign of life and of hope;
I was chosen for grass, trees and leaves,
Without me, all animals would die;
Look over the countryside
And you will see that I am in the majority."

"BLUE" interrupted,
"You only think about the earth,
But consider the sky and the sea ...
It is the water that is the basis of life
And it is drawn up by the clouds from the deep sea;
The sky gives space and peace and serenity,
Without my peace, you would all be nothing."

"YELLOW" chuckled,
"You are all so serious ...
I bring laughter, gaiety, and warmth into the world,
The sun, the moon and the stars are all yellow;
Every time you look at a sunflower,
The whole world starts to smile,
Without me there would be no fun."

"ORANGE" started next to blow her trumpet ...
"I am the color of health and strength,
I may be scarce, but I am precious
For I serve the needs of human life,
I carry the most important vitamins;
Think of carrots, pumpkins, oranges, and mangoes,
I don't hang around all the time, But when I do,
I fill the sky at sunrise or sunset,
My beauty is so striking that no one gives
Another thought to any of you."

"RED" could stand it no longer so he shouted out ...
"I am the ruler of all of you!
I am blood ... life's blood!
I am the color of danger and of bravery,
I am willing to fight for a cause,
I bring fire into the blood;
Without me, the earth would be as empty as the moon,
I am the color of passion and of love,
The red rose, the poinsettia and the poppy."

"PURPLE" rose up to his full height,
He was very tall and spoke with great pomp ...
"I am the color of royalty and power,
Kings, chiefs, and bishops have always chosen me
For I am the sign of authority and wisdom,
People do not question me! They listen and obey."

Finally "INDIGO" spoke,
Much more quietly than all the others,
But with just as much determination ...
"Think of me. I am the color of silence, You hardly notice me,
But without me you all become superficial;
I represent thought and reflection, twilight and deep water,
You need me for balance and contrast, For prayer and inner peace."

And so the colors went on boasting,
Each convinced of his or her own superiority.
Their quarreling became louder and louder.
Suddenly there was a startling flash of bright lightning!
Thunder rolled and boomed!
Rain started to pour down relentlessly.
The colors crouched down in fear,
Drawing close to one another for comfort.

In the midst of the clamor, "RAIN" began to speak ...
"You foolish colors, fighting amongst yourselves,
Each trying to dominate the rest;
Don't you know that you were each made
For a special purpose, unique and different?
Join hands with one another and come to me."

Doing as they were told, the colors united and joined hands.
The rain continued, "From now on, when it rains,
Each of you will stretch across the sky
In a great bow of color as a reminder
That you can all live in peace.
The Rainbow is a sign of hope for tomorrow."

And so, whenever a good rain washes the world, and a Rainbow
appears in the sky, let us remember to appreciate one another.
There is something very SPECIAL in each and every one of us.
We have all been gifted with the ability to make a DIFFERENCE.

If we can become AWARE of that GIFT, we gain through the
STRENGTH of our VISION, the POWER to SHAPE THE FUTURE.

Nethugs Message: To Be Happy

To Be Happy

1. Throw out nonessential numbers.
This includes age, weight and height.

Let the doctors worry about them.
That is why you pay them.

2. Keep only cheerful friends.

The grouches pull you down.
(keep this In mind if you are one of those grouches;)

3. Keep learning:

Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening,
whatever. Never let the brain get idle.
"An idle mind is the devil's workshop."
And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud.
Laugh until you gasp for breath.

And if you have a friend who makes you laugh,
spend lots and Lots of time with HIM/HER.

6. The tears happen:

Endure, grieve, and move on.
The only person who is with us our entire life,
is ourself. LIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love:

Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes,
music, plants, hobbies, whatever.
Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health:

If it is good, preserve it.
If it is unstable, improve it.
If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips.

Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county,
to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

And if you don't send this to at least four people
- who cares?

But do share this with someone.

last KDD for Today" How I spent my Day off unwinding, and a Nethugs message I found

Here, I am, once again! Guess the 8 pages I wrote earlier today,
wasn't enough? lol , hope you all won't go away?
that I will not lose my Readers?,I appreciate each and everyone of you
all who visit my site
I do my best, to inform and entertain, in the things I do write
and say,
to brighten your day,
to share with you what is happening for Darrell and I,
to make you smile, laugh, and here, we seldom do cry.

Darrell is Captain CAPTCHA and the ,advocate for the blind,
For me ,not sure?,I express what is on my mind
in my heart,
how is work, how many to depart?
To help you lighten your load, just a tad,
to tell you about the day I have had,
and send you nethug messages, to give you hope, encouragement and
strength,
and sometimes,my messages are several pages in length
Seldom, only one paragraph
but, often, I hope I inspire and make you laugh?

I just finished reading a profound Nethug message. it is another one, I
like well,
and in the Kitchen, is a wonderful aroma, smell
and thus, the message I have decided to send. yet, you know me, I
usually, have to critique,
and hope you have had a super week

and MASH, I have on in the Background
on the Telli, and as stated, the nethug message is profound
and will definitely post soon to you all, after this is written
and have you been bitten?
have gone green?or reviewed the contest
soon after, I posted the one to my site, I did get rest

I watched my Soap one life to Live, yes, I watch one of those!, on ABC,
Then, turned it to Dr. Phil,on Channel 3.

I know, some of you may think Soaps are pure trash?,
not like the News? Star Trek?or even Mash?

Yeah, I do agree, but, you can easily get hooked and I admit it is mindless
entertainment. they are like mysteries, there are murder, bribes and other
crimes
I know, a waste of my time
does that change your opinion of me
will you stop reading my KDD's?
I would hope not ?, stop being my friend?because, you know this fact
about me?
You may not like what I say or do, we don't always have to agree.

I don't watch my Soap every day, in fact most of the time not! work I have
to go,
probably once a week or 10 days or so.

Some of you,may not like Dr. Phil Yet, I think, he does a lot of good, has a
great deal of advice, especially for Parent's and Children of today
and some say,
They think he does not have his lisence to practice therapy on the air?
I can't imagine he does not and I like what he does share.

Today, he had young women with eating disorders. very serious indeed,
Help, they definitely do need.

So much more to do with just eating. if it was, they would! an healthy
Image, they would keep,
The issues run deep,,
so many, cannot identify,
most don't understand, and think, they just want to die

That is not the case at all, and perhaps, I will write more about this
subject another time?, this topic, is grave
and hope, my computer will save
What I do write?

Then, I watched Little House, it was a very good one,
and here we are, the day is now done

It was the episode ,where Laura and Almonzo wanted to get Married, but Pa
said 2 years
They had a big fight,so, for Laura, that brought tears,
They said,goodbye
and Almonzo, moved to SleepyEye.

Laura tried to take her mind off him, by helping Mary and Adam renovate
an old vacant courthouse, for the blind kids to live
When, Almonzo, discovered, they didn't have all the rent,
time he did spent, a hand he did give,
he worked two jobs, and due to exhaustion and rain, became ill,
Laura went to his side, realized, they loved each other still.

This particular episode was also about Nelly, how she met her husband to
be,
Yet, she isn't one of my favorite characters, but you may not agree?
She definitely has personality,
I must say,
did get some twilight sleep, and now ends the day

The marinated steak in the crockpot, continues to cook,
then, I will read my book,
the dinner, has about one more hour
we will eat, take a shower
get to bed, wake up at 5,
where at work, around 6,I will arrive,,
and do it all again, serve our guest
talk on the phone all day, come home, relax for awhile, get some rest.

some may unwind by sitting in front of the couch watching the tube?
playing an instrument?chess? solving a rubix cube?
Reading the paper at night,
For me, it is usually listening to music and of course I do write. lol

too much I have said today,
so, now, I will get on my way
won't be for a day or two,
will send the net hug message when this is through,
Take good care, and till the next time,
you see a dose online.
