Today's KDD: Roofie Leaks, and feel like I have the flu

It's Tuesday July 31 at 7 o'clock at night

I know all day, I did not write,

Did not compose a single E-mail or post anything to my blog,

I stayed home from work today, me and Dougie Dog.

As you know, I did not feel well yesterday,

Yet went to work anyway,

It was a struggle to get through, the day, feeling worse by the hour,

And as some of you know, we had more then rain showers,

Yesterday afternoon, both herein Tempe and up in Scottsdale,

If, people had rafts, they could sail,

Them on the road, we had much rain, more like hail,

Dust, Thunder and lightening too,

Had much water on the hotel property, took a crew,

To extract it from the lobby, , and our roof, that did leak,

And this, is not the end of it, this week,

We are supposed to get another storm tonight, yet, not like yesterday's,
unusual indeed,

We lost power for almost 3 hours Darrell decided to read,

Since, there was nothing much else he could do,

Broadcasting for the day, he was through,

Jim covered for us right away,

Not exactly sure, what songs, he did play,

Yet from what I hear, he plays hard rock in his basement,

And plays, until the cops, have been sent

Don't know about that at all?

And our house,noone could call,

Darrell had on his cell and Traffic lights were out,

And , the driver, attempted to take the short rout,

To get me home,,yet,it still took an hour, due to the monsoon storm,

Twenty to Thirty minutes is the norm,

Wanted to get home, could not wait,

Did not feel great, went to bed around 8,

Yet, did not sleep well, up most of the night

Woke at 4;30,not feeling right,

Had a bad headache and ached all over,, so I rest all day, for tomorrow, we
will be sold out, many Guests will stay.

Tomorrow it will be a lot of work, the typical tasks I do each day,

And others will be extracting water away,

Off the patios and again, the roof too,

And the last two days, felt like I have had the flu.

I told Darrell about our storm at work, and said, we have a rooffie leak and
he did laugh at me,

And said, I should write about it, in the KDD?

What exactly is a roofie leak does the leak, have a shape?, size? Or a form?

A particular kind, only in our monsoon storms?

?

Is it one that can be seen on the rooftop, from a bird's view?

From here, don't know what to say? or do?

How to go from here, , Tired and should quit for the night

And should this KDD be posted to my site?

I did not feel like writing, but, a KDD you now look for each day,

So, I go head and compose something anyway, take care, hope your all fine,

Today's KDD: Not Feelling Great and Many topics, discussions and debates

Its almost 8 am on July Thirty,
And this KDD, will not be as wordy
Certainly not like yesterday, 5 pages,
Perhaps, my thoughts will be in stages?

There is much I want to say, write about, yet much time it will take,
I have chills and a headache,,
And my stomach hurts as well,
Honestly, I feel like hell,
Yet, me, My doses, you do depend,
So, at least one a day, I have to send.

So, here I am, at least physically,
Bed sleeping, is where I much rather be.

Many things I wanted to mention, more information regarding the drug
addiction,
Not about science Fiction,
Rather,Marlaina's show and her guest last night, Olli Cantos, from
the department of Justice,
And the program, Blind Vine, hosted by Chris,
Former President of ACB ,Chris Gray,
Wishing, you Jeff, a very Happy Birthday,
Today,
As well as the conversation with Jeff, Darrell and me,
Us three,
Last night, on the phone,
Not about cloans
Or aliens in space,
Yet, about cars that one may race,
And programming brains and doing brain surgery,
And philosophizing, saying what if?, one can not see?,
What would you do?

However, I don't have the energy to create a dose, , at this
moment,
So, I guess, another KDd, will have to be sent,
Then, I will go into more detail, about these topics okay?
Its just a struggle, to get through the day,
And do my job here at the hotel okay,?
Do hope your all fine,
But, sorry, I will have to write another time.

Today's KDD: My day off and Addiction to Drugs

Its 7 a.m on July Twenty-nine,
How are you all?, Hope your fine?,
And doing well?
Today, it will be very busy here, at the Hotel.

Two-hundred-thirty-six to arrive, one-hundred-forty-seven to depart,
ending at four-hundred- twenty-seven,slow, the day does start.

I am tired, and more sleep I do need,
Did not go to bed at 8;30 as said, Watched TV, had discussions and
debates, and more of the Big Woods, I did read
And benefited from the time off, got to bed at midnight,
Then up at 5,
Where, around 6;30 to work I did arrive.,

I am sure by now, my KDD on the Paper Trail, you did receive?
And those facts, do you, really believe?
I don't think those figures are entirely accurate but who knows?
Just know, it was a strange KDD I did compose
Let me know if you want me to send you the link okay?
And hope you all have a good Sunday.

I know much yesterday, I did post, its true,
I was being a bum, being lazy,
Most days, I am at work and going crazy,
Or days off running errands and in town,
So, one day a week, like to just slow down,
In a few ways,
Stay in Slippers and PJ's,
Of course, shower,
Yet, be in my Jammies all day,
And just play.

So, this means, on the computer I am,
I am not sending spam,
Or sending virus's to anyone,
Just Writing or surfing the net having fun,

Swimming, Viewing a movie, two or three,
Just spending time, Darrell and me,
It is the absolute best,
One day a week, doing nothing, chilling out and catching up on rest.

On weekends, I am picked up at 6,
I don't usually listen then to a music mix,
Instead, I listen to Valley Watch or Valley View,
Perhaps, you do too?,
Public Service Programs, for the community so we all will be
informed,
And last night, we had a storm,
Yet, not as bad as you all hadin Tucson there,
And I am here another day, to share,
The thoughts in my mind and about my day.
I realized, I began to say,
And tell you about valley Watch, not valley view.

Sorry, I am not quite awake,
an hour or more, it will take,
Before, I am fully alert and once I get into the swing,
Of it all, well, it will go,
Yet, thought you might want to know,
What I had heard this morning? About prescription drugs,
Not about insects and various of bugs,
Not about Crimes or road rage,
Rather, something Popular among the teenage,
Kids today, in our Society,
It is disturbing, when you hear, you will agree.

Most teens at one time, try cigarettes, or drink,
Experiment with drugs, but, it may not be what you may think,
It is not most narcotics,
Yet, prescription drugs and some, more then one, they do mix,
I was a little surprised, yet, not really blown away,
Because, I recall, a few years ago,, what some did say,
Hearing about something called Huffing, don't know the exact term,
phrase,
That sniffing household drugs, was the latest craze,
From our kitchen or bathroom cupboards, so check below or above,
In your medicine cabinet, protect those you love.,,

It is much different, when I, was an adolescent,
To school, where I went,
Most of my peers, did experiment,
With alcohol, and even a little, so did I,
Yet, I never did get high,
I am not proud of that,
Yet, that is where I was at,
I know, it was wrong,
Just wanted to feel like I did belong,
Just a little bit,
Yet, I have always encouraged, not to do drugs at all, or if they do,
to quit.

I did once try to smoke,
Yet, never did Coke,
Did have beer or rum
But, I was not dumb,
I did have beer, Budwiser,
Yet, much wiser,
Did not take any drugs, did not snort, take a drag or inhale,
I wanted to learn,not fail,
Go to College and live long,
My high was writing, dancing and singing songs.

However, Many I did know, would Party all the time, most days of the
week, be up late,
in an intoxicated state,
And many of my classmates , went to" Straight",
A Rehab Facility in Florida, though, they were from Ohio,
It was there, that many, did go.

I only drank a little, but not much,
And no drugs, I did touch,
Never tried coke or Marijuana, pot,
Though, it, I can instantly spot,
I hate the smell,Drugs, one does not need,
Why, would one want to smoke weed?
Do any drug?, Ecstasy?, LSD, or Crack?
Wouldn't you rather, munch on a snack?
Like Chocolate?,
More positive effects, you would get?
Be happy? Though, a pound, you may gain?
Rather, then, mess up your brain?

I recall, the 80's commercial on TV, and has stayed with me,
The one, where, they said, this is your brain on drugs, you see,
And , an egg, they would fry,
Encouraging kids, not to get high.,

I also do recall, Nancy Reagan, and her Just say No, campaign,
That too, has stuck in my brain,
, that, was so long ago,
A very different time, you know?

Anyway, this morning, this lady, who spoke told her story, she lost
her son,
Four years ago, he was high.

It all began with drugs in our medicine cabinets, that you may use
for pain,
Instead of alcohol, they take prescription drugs to alter their
brain.

We all know, about Vikidin, codene, and Perkicet,
Yet, do you know about others on the net,
Maybe, Oxycotton? Or Soma
Overdosing on anything, can put you into a coma
Or worse, one can die,
If one does get high.

I guess, these have the same effects as most drugs, but, one can not
smell alcohol on ones breath,
The kids are starting with this and then moving onto meth,
Perhaps, a KDD about this I shouldn't write about, shouldn't
share?
I am doing this, because, I want others to be aware,

You may have teens, or be one your self,
Be in College and want to improve yours or someone's health??
Improve the quality of life?
Maybe, its your child?, friend?, husband or a wife?

If your not up to speed, Maybe, some homework, you need to do?
Some of this, I did not have a clue,
Maybe go on the web, use google or dogpile,
Somewhere, do file,
It could take time,
Go online,
and read,
if you need.

These two drugs, Soma and Oxycotton I did not hear of, but you may,,
?
But from what the spoke person, did say,
This was the substance Rush did use
We all heard about that in the news.

It is a muscle relaxant, from what she had said,
Of course, it can mess up your body, not just your head,
We all know, that He's almost deaf, what a shame,
But, Oxycotton was the name
Of the drug he became addicted too,
That fact, did you know? Or is that new?

It was very interesting, but unfortunately, I did not get any
contact information,
On these drugs and other prescription medications,
We had pulled into the dock, I had to go,
So, had to turn off my walkman radio.

However, as I stated, just utilize your tools and the brain, that you
were given,
Help those in trouble, to keep liven,
Be informed, be observant, and know about these drugs
Talk to your children, spend time with them, and each day, give them
a hug,
Tell him or her, they, you do love,
And hope this message, was informative for you?
And if someone you know, should know as well,, make them aware too,
have a great day, stay in good health ,
And take care of yourself.,

Last KDD for Today: Paper Trail

Do you think your going to read another KDD?

You're not going to, you see,

A KBD, is what, it will be

And Not Karen's Bathroom dose, but it is in a way,

Rather, Karen's Daily Brain Dump, for the day,

Not about Daily downloads,

Or the invention, of the toilet or the commode.

However, this does have to do with Paper, yet, not what you may think,

And, you may say, this topic does stink?

And in the suer, it does belong?

You rather, I write about work? Vacation?, or my favorite songs?,

A different KDD, you'd rather I compose?

This Post has to do with health and part of the body, but not your nose.

Do you say to yourself?

Are, Darrell and Karen, in good health?

We have odd topics, discussed in our house?

We discuss work, technology, War, and about a particular deep fried

Mouse?

Anything, we discuss, is it just Idol chatter?

You say, something is the Matter?

Or, would like to be a fly on the Wall, and get an ear full?

Or say, no way, it's just a bunch of bull?

Or sure, it sounds great?

Wouldn't mind, staying up late hanging out with the Shandrow's?

Or read, whatever, I do compose?

You never know, what I will say?

What, you will find in your box, each day,

And for some reason, blogger, sees my blog has spam, this is true,

Because, whenever, I have to edit a post on my Blog, an audio CAPTCHA, I

Have to do,

Not sure, why, this is the case? I write on numerous topics, whatever

Crosses my mind,

Somehow, something, Blogger did find,

Darrell wrote to the Blogger Folks, to see why, they think my site is

Spam Maybe, he will get a response back?

And KDd's I have a stack,

Over two-hundred now, isn't that amazing?

There is nothing like it on the net, noone has ever seen.

If you're interested, keep reading, alright,

If, you want to see where, this leads, look, what I write.

, When, we think of a paper trail,

We think of, all the junk snail mail

That we all do get,

Or all the e-mail, we receive on the net,

Isn't that right

Yet, here, I will shed some light.

Last night, after Jeff's show, we were having discussions and debates,

We were up late.

We were discussing the IQ, and calculating how many cells die each day,

And I was also asking him, if we had received some of our items from

Safeway,

One of which was toilet Paper and we began to ponder, the history of this

Product, that all of us take for granted, that we have in our household,

We began to wonder, the History, the first use and when it was sold?

And other interesting facts and said, we would find out today, this

Information, haven't you ever sought

It, do you seek?

Do you wonder how much the average household uses each week?

How much each person, uses each day?

Are you thinking, I had enough today

Of reading your blog Karen, Let it go?

Yet, aren't these facts, you'd like to know?

Wouldn't you like to know about this invention?

Or is this topic forbidden?, it, no one, should mention?.

Wouldn't you like to use some of your Brain Cells reading this?

or do you say, this information,I'd rather miss?

That, I can do without, those facts, I rather not read,

However, Folks, this is a staple, and it, we all need,

Like it or not, This item we all use,

yet, the brand, may be different, yet, one, we all choose,

it may be Scott, the first Brand, or an other, like Charmin, Angel Soft, or

Northern,

some of the money, you earn, goes towards it, I just get the best deal,, to

save money, that is why,

does not really matter to us, whether its a certain brand, or one or two

ply,

the one on sale,is the one we buy.

The history of Toilet paper,is actually fascinating,

originated in China, Dating,

back to 1351,, that long ago,

Other facts, would you like to know?

They say, in the average house, one roll last 5 days, I find, that, hard to

believe, must depend on what kind, you choose?

and they say, 8.5 sheets, each day, one does use,

This isn't news earth shattering, and you, does it strike a nerve to the

core,

But, hey, Guys, TP, you use, Whether , your rich or poor

Royalty or not,

Whether, its in the dead of winter, or bloody hot

or you reed in your bathroom, a novel with a juicy plot,

The New York Times, or the Walstreet Journal,or the sales at the Mall?

this is reality, for us all.

So, don't get grossed out or have a hissy fit,

and tell me to quit,

its something, we all don't think about, that we take for granted,

that we do, first thing,in the morning, and last before bed,

before Breakfast, before we leave for work each day,

or whatever the time,

whether, we are listening to music,or surfing on line,

assisting customer's, or writing code

a trucker on the road,

volunteering in your community, or like me,

serving our Guests,

or a Author who has an article published in Reader's digest,

its a fact of life,

and This is something new, you discovered about me?, Darrell's Wife?

If your interested and want to know, some more interesting facts,my

friends,

about the History, let me know, and it, I will send,

until then, going to go, wrote enough for the day, dead are more cells in

all our brains,

and it looks like any minute, we will have a storm, get rain,

take care,alright

and have a good night.

Bennefits of Swimming

Like many people, I don't like to exercise. Most of us, don't find it "
fun" nor say, we have the " time to exercise daily.
In addition, those of us whom are blind or disabled, may find it more
difficult to find an activity to do that is fun but that will also provide
that exercise workout. They say, just find an activity that you enjoy, do
well and stick to it. Experts recommend, finding a few activities that one
can do, so you will have variety and will continue it long term.
Most people can play contact sports, such as tennis, basketball, or
baseball just to name a few. Yet, for obvious, reasons, these sports are
challenging for those of us whom are blind, unless, their some adaptations
made.
Furthermore, other activities such as skiing and rock climbing take more
time and energy for some of us to do without sight. I know, its the case
with me.
Before, I became totally blind, I enjoyed and could do some of these
activities mentioned above.
When, I had high partial sight, I functioned more as a sighted person and
had a lot of residual vision, that it was not as difficult for me.
In elementary School and High School I played basketball and baseball some.
While living in Ontario Canada I learned to ice skate, skateboard and went
downhill skiing for the first time.
Moreover, I enjoyed these activities very much before I lost all my sight,
thus was getting more exercise while having fun.
I use to go to friends houses and ice-skated on their outdoor rink and in
High School, I would go to the outdoor rink Sunday afternoons and skate for
a few hours to music. though, I was not very good, I could skate for hours
around the rink without falling. I had a blast.!
Not only that,my family would go skiing to the Pocono's in PA,or travel to
snowshoe West Virginia or Upstate New York and ski all day. We went to a
place called Windham Mountain, near Hunter and they had an excellent ski
program for the blind.
In the early 90's, I was also involved in Ski for Light and with an
organization called ABLE ( Athletes, Blind, leisure Enthusiasts). We would
get together one Saturday a month and go hiking, swimming, sailing and much
more. We had sighted guides to assist us.
While involved with Ski for light, I would go cross country skiing for a
week up in Sherman PA. I would do this during the January Term, over
Christmas vacation while in College.

Some of us, also participated in Sports for Health and for a week in the
summer and many of us,would return to Sherman Pennsylvania and do other fun
activities such as swim, roller skate, tandem biking and repelling. Though,
I did not enjoy the repelling at all! In fact, Everyone could hear me
scream from the lodge. Those of you, who know me well, know, how loud I
can scream and think I could be an extra in a horror movie.
As some of you know, Darrell and I met at the Colorado Center for the blind
, back in 1995. One of the activities that all of us students had to do ,
was rock climbing.
This too,is another wonderful activity that can be a learning tool as well.
At least, that is what the staff said. They believe, if we can concor our
fear of climbing and reach the top of the rock, that we can do " anything",
such as learn proper techniques to cross a street, and or make a large meal
for 40 or more people.
Although, I hate Rock climbing with a Passion, I am glad I at least tried
it,just like the downhill skiing and repelling.
However, those activities,I just don't enjoy anymore now that I am totally
blind. I just can not concentrate and feel anxious while doing them. They
are just not any " fun".
Despite this fact, I do make attempts now and then, to find activities to
do, so I too can get my exercise and improve my health.
Swimming is one of my favorites. So,is dancing. I always loved dancing,
ever since I was a child. I began with Ballet.
Then, While in College, I participated in two Dance marathons. The first
one was back in 86. I and several others danced for 24 hours to raise funds
for Muscular Dystrphy. It may seem crazy, but why not?. One can have fun,
exercise while raising money for a good cause.
I was one of the few who made it through the entire marathon. I was
exhausted and I hurt from head to toe. I was up for 32 hours and slept the
next day. Sleep and Ben Gaye were my friend.
Two years later, I again, participated in another fund Raiser. Yet, this
Dance Marathon was only 4 hours and a piece of cake. I don't think I can do
the 24 hour one today, but still can Dance for at least 4 hours.
This time, we danced to help the American Heart Association. I love to
get involved and help others. I am great at coordinating things , events
and such and like to make a difference in other's lives.
Last year, I worked on a project, through work, with Hyatt and we all
raised funds for " Make a Wish Foundation" in which they raised funds to
make it possible for Children whom are terminally ill to have their last "
wish" fulfilled . .
Today, I continue to dance to get my exercise. I don't take any classes, just
" dance" in our living room. I'd like to take some Dance classes and in the
past, I have. I took Tap, a couple years ago and loved it. It was through
the Tempe Recreation Center and an assistant was provided. They still
offer this class along with numerous others, but with my crazy schedule,
having a work schedule that varies every week, makes it very difficult to
do. The classes are always being held during the day or before 7 at
night. Its just not compatible with my schedule
However, this does not mean, I can not get exercise, just makes it a little
more challenging. I still don't exercise as much as I should, but again, I
am putting forth more of an effort these days to exercise. We have a
stationary bike and we don't use it that much. Yet, I am hoping, that will
change. I suppose, the more I do it the easier it will be.? If I break the
bad habit of not biking or not doing exercise with one, where I do, then, It
will just be part of my daily routine.
So, go ahead find an activity,or two or three that you enjoy and will
stay interested for months at a time. Swimming, may be one of them. Here
below is an article about the health benefits of swimming. Enjoy.
Speaking of Swimming, Stacey was just here. She said, looks like we will
get another storm. So, its likely we will not be able to go swimming. That
is disappointing. I guess, that means,I have to do some real exercise and
stretch, tone and ride the bike or, dance to music?
Let me know, what exercises you do, whether you are blind or sighted. If
you are blind, provide feedback and techniques. Perhaps, it will help all
of us?.
Meanwhile, read this post I wrote along with any of the KDD's I have
blogged here.Take Care.

http://swimming.about.com/od/swimworkouts/a/swim_benefit.htm,

Today's KDD : Not feelling well, and this Singing Bee, can not sell

Its Saturday July twenty-eighth ,, around 10 o'clock,

And 80's music does rock,

On our XM radio,

And late to bed, we did go

, I am off today, so, stayed up until almost 2,

And How are things?, How are you?

After, I wrote, that last KDD or the Brain dump for the night,

We called it a night,

Yet, we spent time together, Darrell and Me, Dougie too,

We have discussions and debates, usually at night, that is what we often
do,

Have tea and often a dessert then, take a shower

By then, it's a late hour

Although, we only got about 6 hours of sleep we both feel pretty good today,

And the song, " Devil Inside" on the radio does play,

And we don't plan on doing much today.

We wanted to listen to Desiree at one, but she is ill,

But, don't know who will,

Cover for her, do the 80'sVolt , maybe, instead, I will listen to Kim?

And later today, go swim?

Kim filled in for Marlaina yesterday afternoon, and Darrell recorded it on
replay

As well , when, Larry t's, show, did play.

Do you want a brain dump?, a Brain Dream?, ora daily injection?,

And right now, is playing, " walk like an Egyptian.

This Singing Bee, that Jeff will be doing was inspired, by the T.V show,
sounds very funny indeed,

We think Jeff, you do need,

To join in and sing with us all, full participation

On the ACB R I station,,

Is this beneath you?, if we have to sing, so, do you,

Seems very reasonable and more fair,

That you also share,

Your singing ability,

With the rest of us, on ACB.

We don't want anyone to be left behind, you know?

Doesn't matter if you're the host of the show

If you wanted to participate, you would, yet, it wouldn't be as much fun,
because, then, you could not as much, embarrass another,

Like me, Darrell, Nickie, her Dad or her Mother?

That is okay,

Somehow, we will get you to play.

Its just amazing, that we lose 50,000 brain cells each day,

From what Jeff's resources, do say,

Perhaps, I will write a more technical dose later, about the brain,

And today, we likely will get more rain,

At this moment, not feeling the best,

Feel worse now, then, when, I first rose,

So, think, I will end this KDd,for you, I compose,

My allergies are aggravating me,

You see,

So, going to relax, not do much today,

Do a little housework, listen to interactive , swim and choose music,
that Darrell will play,,

On Monday's show,

Have no more to add, so, going to go, later, more I will share,

For now, have a good day and take care.

Last KDD Today: Brain Cells and Singing Bees

It's Friday night, and this is not a typical daily Dose that I usually
write,

This is Karen's Daily Brain dump, that I created tonight,

While listening to Jeff Bishop and the Desert skies,

Were you at all surprised?

When, you found out the answer to the Impossible Question?

What about the singing Bee, does that sound fun?

Will you, Participate? and sing the lyrics that Jeff , does choose?

And do you know, how many Brain Cells each day we do lose?

And at what age, this starts?

And will you sing, with your heart,

And soul? Will you, play, the game?

And if you sing badly, you have Jeff to blame.

Us, he wants to embarrass, no doubt about that,

And here on interactive, is where it is at.

His show, Is from 7 to 10, Pacific Time, 2 to 5 UTC,

He chatted with nickie, Tim, Darrell, Tina and me.

Nickie mentioned her book and Darrell discussed pod breeze and the yahoo
petition, he provided the link,

And, do you know, when, we begin to lose brain cells? does it make you
think?

Jorgen joined us all later, sung and played his keyboard.

When, listening to Jeff's show, never bored,

And when, tuned into some other D J's too,

Feel much better, when the 3 hours are through,

And, the answer to the impossible Question do you, have a clue

When, you do find out, this fact, do log,

And Jorgen, sung some country songs and made one up , about Jascinda Jeff's
Dog.

He was telling us a story, about how he got rained on, when, went to the
Student Union, this afternoon, to get some ice

And I joked with him, about sending him Chocolate chip cookies and deep
fried mice,

in the mail For his Birthday,

And cool music as always, he again, did play.

Anyway Jeff and Cinda were both soaking wet,,, Jorgen, sung about her being
a soggy Dog,, and they were probably cold,,

And something else, Jeff us, he told,

Cinda, also broke his headphones, got tangled in her harness, it, she did
not mean to do,

You know?

Now, Best Buy, Jeff, you will have to go.

Jorgen was yodeling and after the show, Jeff called us chatted a little,
mentioned daily downloads,

Talked about the singing bee, not about the rain, flooded roads,

Or frogs or toads,

We agreed, chocolate, we all like to devour, It's a delight,

And, that was it,,now, its 10;30 at night.

So, are you stumped?

Do you know the answer, to the I q, here, in this Brain Dump?

Both parts? or just one or two?

It is true,

Brain cells begin to die, at age twenty,, and we lose 50,000 a day,

And though, I did not know the answer, fun are his questions, so, I always
play.

And in two weeks or so, will be the Singing bee, he is having a contest,

So, your voice, do rest,

And for information about this,

Don't miss,

Stay tuned and reed your mail , watch for a message from the friends list,
it,he will bring.

On one hand, this singing bee sounds like loads of fun, so, maybe, I will
participate?,

Yet, I can not really sing, sometimes out of tune, don't sing great,

Certainly, would not be on Star Search with Ed Mc Mann or on American Idol,

However,I do know, many artists and titles,

and I know, the lyrics to many songs,

, But, because, I cannot sing in key, will get the gong,

or the buzzer, like on Family Feud, maybe, will stick to singing in the
shower?,

Don't know, not going to decide, at this hour

rather, have something delicious and sweet, and now, 10;56, 11 at night,

And enough for now, I did write,

So, to all a good night.

Today's KDD: Fabulous Friday and the Simpsons

Its Friday, the Twenty-seventh of July,
I am here again, not just to say Hi,
Or Hello,
To write, the KDD as you know.

I am here at work and not yet fully awake,
And the ride this morning, long it did not take,

It usually does not,
And today, it will not be as hot,
Right now, its 83 and the high will be 99,
How are you?, Hope your all fine?
Its 6;09, have not been here long and 45 minutes before my shift does
start,
We have 140 to arrive and 242 to depart,
We will have a significant drop in occupancy,
Rented rooms by tonight it will be,
Two-hundred-thirty-two,
And today, this KDd,is not as easy to do,
However, now, that more reed my KDD's, visit my site,
The pressure is on, a good KDD, I have to write.

Last night, was okay, just alright,
Darrell and I had a fight,
So, the first few hours were not so good, not at all,
He went swimming and no one we did call,
I did not want to chat, with anyone,
Hate arguing, not at all fun,
Yet, by 10, we resolved things, felt better, by 11 o'clock,
And quiet was our block,
Our neighborhood, which is a very good thing,
And this KDD early I will bring.

Most of the time, I don't ever mention when we argue,
Like to keep things upbeat, but, its part of life, this is true,
Reality of life,
Does not matter, if its between family members, friends or a husband
and a wife,
And I am writing, telling you how things are, yet, don't provide
details, which is best,
And feel like I did not get enough rest.

So, tonight, I may listen to the show, while lying in bed, yet we
shall see,
And are you going to see the Simpson Movie?
Premiere's this weekend,, not me, again, that is something I did not
get into
Its not for me, but maybe, be for you?.

Do you like the Gang? Homer, Marge, Lisa and Bart?, 4 stars given by
USA today,
I'd rather,, stay home and listen, to you Jeff, the music play.

I recall, when the show came out twenty years ago,
Never found it that funny, you know,
Yet, again, I did not have much of a sense of humor then,
Was losing my sight, that was when,
Had much depression, anger and anxiety,
And also trying to get through college you see.

I need to get more coffee, and looking forward to the weekend, I will
be off tomorrow, for a day,
Then back on Sunday,
Work 4 and off again, then again vacation I go,
Will miss next week's Desert Skies show,
We will be going to Utah for the weekend
To visit Cyndi, Darrell's high school friend,
It will be fun,
And this KDD, soon, will be done.

We will be back on Sunday August 6, late at night,
In the evening,is our flight.

Guess, Coffee and Pastries will be provided this morning ,
For all our hard work, Claudia, just said,
And not much more I have to say,
Except, Have a fabulous Friday. J

Today's second KDD: Mic chip sandwhiches

Have you heard the News? a new Product at Mic Donald's? the Mic Chip sandwhich? Really,not?... Seriously, did you hear in the news about a man who opened a bag of freto lay chips and found one of the chips to be a deep fried mouse. It is true. the link is below. Though, I think this is really disgusting , we all can find it funny. Take care.

Would you like fish and Chips?
fried fur to touch your lips,
have two all mouse patties,
with or without cheese?,
on a bun?,
and visit the bathroom when your done?
Hold the pickles and the tomatoes,
I'd rather have ears, head, tails, and toes,
maybe, the cute little nose?

do want mayo,onion and lettace,
this deep fried mouse do you want to kiss?

If you would like a break today, come this way and get an unique bite
today, at mc donolds. :) M i c, see you real soon, K e y, why, because
we like you, fried m o u s e.

Today's KDD: An Uneventful Night and no sad and lonely clowns

Its Thursday, the twenty-sixth of July,
Much gbetter, are Darrell and I,
More grammatically correct,Darrell and me,
We got much more sleep last night you see.

Sleep does wonders, and we both are fine, good as new,
How are things?, How are you?

I arrived to work before 6, and have less then an hour for my shift to
start,
And not sure, how many guests to depart,
Or to arrive,Yet, I know, it will be a good one,
And more easily I will be able to get my work done.

It was such a struggle to stay awake and function yesterday and I
wanted to go home ,not at all be here,
Made attempts to drink coffee and have more energy,, and thank
goodness, there were no kids with beer
No loud music and alcohol,
Noone, last night, we had to call,
It was an uneventful night,
Things, are alright.
I slept from 6;30 to 8;30, got two hours,
Then, chatted with Darrell, took Dougie out and took a shower,
Then, Keri called at 9;30 , chatted with her,
Mentioned what had occurred,
The night before, did not talk long wanted to get to bed, sleep I
desperately did need,
Did not at all reed

Its now 6;30, don't have much else to say,
Darrell was commenting, how everyone loves, getting the doses each
day,
And me, you all, now do depend ,
For a KDD to send,
Yet, sometimes, I wonder, maybe not,
Because, sometimes, don't hear anything at all,not a lot,
And everyone seems busy doing their own thing,
Don't ask, " How are you? And your day?, so, maybe, the dose, I
should not bring?
When, it seems sometimes, people don't wonder or care,
To ask, so not share,
That, other things rather be discussed and that too much I write ?
So, perhaps, KDD's, I should not post to my site?
However, Darrell, says, this is now a tradition, and I need to keep it
going, since your day is not the same since, the KDD's I have begun,
That despite work and other things to get done,
They, you would rather receive?
So, they I will continue, will not let you all down,
Want all to be happy, want no lonely clowns,
Want noone to be sad,
And sorry, no more to add,
Also want to get more coffee, and need to get on my way,
But, you all take care, and here,is your dose for the day. ,

Today's KDd: Sleepless in Phoenix and Running on Empty

I was not going to post this today. It is not very good, but I have
decided to post it anyway. I have been dragging all day and will be
leaving early , around 4. I just hope, we don't have another night
like last night.

Its 6;10 on Wednesday July twenty-five,
And 10 minutes ago to the Office I did arrive,
I am running on empty and will be glad when this work day will be
through,
how are you? And what is new?

I know, my day has barely begun,
It will be 11 hours before my shift is done,
And I have not done a single ounce of work yet today, but feel dead,

And wish I could still be in bed.

Monday night Darrell did not sleep well, not great,
But last night , was much worse, up very late,

This was not our fault at all,
Both the Police and our Apartment Manager, we had to call.

We had a good night for a while,
Spent time with each other, exercised, had debates and discussions,
its our style.

At 10, was ready to go to bed and then around midnight, kids were out
by our window, out by the pool,
Making much noise, not at all cool,
We asked them to stop, but, they did not, being rude, disrespectful and
inconsiderate,
They did not at all quit,

We then called our Apartment manager Sean,
When he did not reply, called the cops, twice before dawn,
And Sean too,
The whistle we blew
Sean and police said, they'd come out to our Residence,
Some Guys, were sitting outside the pool, by the fence,
Darrell told them to stop that they had rules, pool hours here,
One guy said, come out, have a beer,
And another, said, what are we, doing here,
That this was apartments for students did not give a damn, that I get
up at 4;30, work I need to go,
They need to be evicted you know,
Quite frustrating indeed,
And now, sleep I desperately do need.,
Darrell is sleeping away,
Then, will work some and then meet with dial-a-ride later today,
I will call him at 8,
Hope your well, doing great,
But, I am not in a good physical state,
Don't know, if coffee will help at all, or if I will makeit
through, just hope I don't have much work to do,
This is it, , no more to say,
Have a good day.

Today's KDD: Waking up at an uncivilized hour and rain showers

Its Tuesday July 24, at 6;43,
Here at work, is Dougie and Me,
I had to wake up at 4;30, an uncivilized hour,
And later, today, will get rain showers,
It will be a lot, very bad,
And I am feeling a little sad,
Its kind of depressing to be back,
And, herein my e-mail, had a stack,
That when I arrived here to work, at 6;20, I had to review,
And how are things?, how are you?

Its too early to give you an update,
And hope your day will be great,

Its not even 7 o'clock yet,
And from what an e-mail said, faster is now, our internet,
And I am sure, our guest Patios will be wet.

I have nothing new to report, nothing yet on property, on our 560
acres,
Nothing from Front Desk, Reservations, Food and Beverage, from the
Pastry Bakers,
Speaking of Pastries, not having any doughnuts of any kind, nothing
with powder or cinnamon toast,
And last night saw a good commercial , saying, think before you post,

That everyone will see what we blog , co-workers, our friends and
families,
Yet, also, could be watching, are our enemies,
And a Danish with cheese,
Sounds good, to go with my coffee not a stick of big red,,
And it was very difficult this morning to get out of bed.

It will get easier later in the week,
And, its true, I love the name , Monique
I think its mysterious wouldn't you say?
And, I think, Dougie is snoring away,,
He is pretty loud,
Casey, one of our Assistant managers and I, at him, we laugh,
And at this time, not much staff,
Later today, more will show,
And from what I understand, it will not at all be slow
Almost sold out we will be,
And here you are, Today's KDD,
Due to the rain, don't think we will be able to swim tonight,
Disappointing, and for now, this is all I will write,
Have a good one,
Need to run,
Work to be done
And hope your day is productive but fun.

Today's KDD: Improving our Health and entertaining you all while it rains

I am sitting here in the Desert Café,

How are you all today?

It's Monday, July Twenty-third,

And a few hours ago, began a KDD, that is still sitting here in word,

That never will be sent,

And can't believe how fast my vacation went,

It's shortly after 4 and right now, we are playing "Our House" by
Madness,

And the last few weeks, caught upon sleep, read and got some rest,

And it was nice having the time off with Darrell, and being home with him,

To wake up after sunrise, read novels, journal and swim.

I also cleaned out some junk here, including my e-mail in-box,

Had no trouble with our cable, Cox,

And spent no time sorting socks,

Or making a 4 course meal and your playing Country music now, that I don't
care for,

And would have liked to go to the beach, the shore,

And now, you are talking about my KDD's and the book your reading" The
World according to Garp", and your impression of it

And this KDD, is not a hit,

Guess, they all can not be good, sometimes, the creativity, is just not
there, in my brain,

And, it looks like it is going to rain

Think, we will get a storm tonight, as well as up in Scottsdale,

And glad I cleaned up my mail,

But my in-box is lonely, feels strange

Yet, happy, that my mail is all arranged,

And finally in folders,

And look forward to the weather getting colder,

And going back to work as well,

I enjoy working for the Hyatt Scottsdale Hotel,

It's a pretty good corporation,

And I love doing this show, on the interactive station,

And our Friend Stacey is on her way,

And hope you all are having a good day?

Well we actually have a bad storm here, there is dust and the wind's
strong,

And right now, Coal mine is the song,

That your all hearing at this time on the air, my friend,

And next is Lover boy's, working for the weekend,

Stacey is our friend and Dougie's groomer and she comes over every day,

To help Darrell with his eye ointment, to chat and her and Dougie, do play

Soon, here, it will be pouring,

And hope, you don't find our show boring?

I went to my weight loss doctor today,

And for the most part I am doing well, from what he does say,

And is going to prescribe a different thyroid medication and also Vitamin
E and a baby aspirin,

All to take each day, so, this weight loss battle I can win,

Its difficult to lose these last 30 pounds, I am doing it for my health don't
want to have a heart attack, stroke or get diabetes,

I am drinking mostly liquids, called Optifast and cut way back on ranch
dressing, carbs, and my favorite , cheese,,,,,

Struggling to cut back on coffee and increase my water in take,

I am hoping, my goal, I will make?

I did not want to head down that road, taking insulin and popping pills,

Yet, I do have a problem with metabolism and get chills,

And have poor circulation in my feet,

And tired of this heat,

Its 104 and 25 % of humidity

I have been fighting this battle for a long time , and usually don't say
much, but maybe, will help someone else you see,

I am not the only one, millions in our country each day, not just me.

I am short and small frame, should be Petite a smaller size

Also trying to increase my exercise,

If not swimming, dancing, biking, something, and Darrell too

Today, my Doctor, said, we all should exercise 150 minutes each week, that
is what everybody should do.

Seems like much, only like 20 to 30 minutes a day,

Don't like this song that now, does play

Roy Oberson's , "working for the Man",

And glad, working is our LAN,

So, to you, we can bring this show,

And in an hour, we will have to go,

Do like", men at work's " It's a mistake and down under",

And wonder

Will we get thunder?

And Darrell just informed me, we ran out of songs no more music after this,
Cyndi Lauper's, Money is everything?,

And still don't like, this Kdd to you I today, do bring.

So, after the show,

Swimming, we can not go,

We will exercise, use our bike instead,

Stretch ,warm -up, before exercising, and early to bed,

And I will read more of Little House, the big Woods",

And this song is good,

Fleetwood Mac, "Thunder only happens, when it's raining",

And hope we are entertaining?

And not sure, if next week I will be here, in the café,

Yet, Darrell, the tunes, he will play,

And provide tech news too,

I have no more to add, so, think, this Kdd is finally through,

Take care and stay well, also sign the petition for yahoo,

And take care of you. J,,

Today's KDD: Brief Bio of J K Rowlings and end of my vacation

It's Sunday July Twenty-two,

How are you? And what, is new?

Its 9; 53,

We are not listening to ACB,

No Kim's Blast from the past, on ACB R I,

Not sure why,

I am disappointed,

And not exactly sure, what time I stayed up and red,

I know, it was an hour or so, after 2,

"Farmer Boy" I am almost through,

I have 3 files left, not sure, when I will read another Little House on the
Prairie,

I think, I would like to Read Harry?

Think, I will begin with the first book, The Philosopher's Stone, and
then, go from there, will see, how it goes,

You know me, books, I do critique, a KDD about it, I will compose.

Are any of you interested in J K Rowling's Bio?,

More about The Author of the Harry Potter Books, would you like to know?

I found an article about her, it was a short biography,

And it, sparked my curiosity, you see,.

On July 31, in 1965,

She was born, in this world, she did arrive,

In Gloucester, England, moved twice, when she was young and has a Sister
Dianna, almost two years younger then she,

At age 11, she attended a boarding school, says, the Character Hermoine, was
loosely based on herself ,

At this age, and though, Today, she has acquired much wealth,

she does not enjoy the book signing and all the fame, she is introverted,
very shy,

That is why.

And when, she was about 10 or 11, moved and met the Potter Family,

And when, she was 15 , her mother was diagnosed with MS and in 1990 did
die,

Then, Joanne, went to live with her Sister Di,

Before, her Mother did pass away, they convinced her to attend the
University,

And become a secretary,

After College, she went to Parris and in 1990, worked for Amnesty
international, and on her way home, on a train,

The concept of Harry Potter, ruled her brain,

She has wrote 7 books, has been Married twice,

Has 3 children and seems very nice,

She said, that she would like to write more books, Children's Literature,

Yet, not sure,

I did enjoy, the interview, that the bookshare staff, did share,

But, you may not at all care.

Now on Interactive is DJ Doug,

And I am sitting here with coffee in a mug,

Listening to our XM Radio, the 80's channel, not the blend,

And all good things must come to an end,

As they do say,

And I need to choose music for tomorrow's show, songs that we will then
play.

I have a Pot roast in the crockpot, thanks to Banquet,

And, not sure how much surfing today, I will do on the net,

We also want to swim and listen to Marlaina tonight,

And hope you're all, alright?,

More then fine?,

And last night, we did dine,

At Outback Steak House, had excellent service and good food as always, as
well,

And the day after tomorrow, go back to work at the Hyatt Hotel,

My vacation went too fast, and nowhere, we did go,

And right now, listening to Casey Cassem , top 40 on the radio,

Getting back to my vacation, I did not know exactly what days, until the
end of June, and 3 days later , my time off begun,

And, though, we did not travel, I still had fun,

And today, I don't have as much to say, so, guess, this KDd is done?

Take care and I will write more at a later date,

Hope your Sunday is great.

Today's KDD: Harry Potter Weekend and soon, my vacation will end

It's almost 11 am on Saturday, July twenty-one,

And last night at midnight, did you run?

To get the last Harry Potter book at your local bookstore?

Were you up all night? Up until at least 4?

Or did you go to a party or visit the chat room over at Bookshare?

Or like some, don't at all care?

I fall somewhere in between,

A single Harry Potter book in our house, has not yet to be seen,

Some will not even consider reading it,

Yet, I will begin Book one, and see why, this series is such a hit,

See, what this is all about,

IfInquiring minds want to know,, check it out

And you too, can say your part of this Phenomenon, and years from now, say
you were there, go look at the reviews,

You will have no difficulty; it's all over the news, on TV and the net,

If you google a little, you will find it, I just bet.

I am like that cute, little Curious George, that crazy Monkey, but not a
menace,

Or like Dennis,

You know, Dennis the Menace, a popular 50's show?

For some of you, its way before your time, you know?

It was for me,

I read the series "Curious George" and, Dennis the Menace, re-runs I'd see,

This, I want to Investigate, and want to explore, am inquisitive,

Have always been and wil as long as I live,

So, I will soon begin, not book 7, " The Deathly Hallows", but Book 1

Will, probably after the Little House books are done,

Have all been red,

I was up until about 3, and just got out of bed,

Darrell made me coffee and I am sipping it as I write,

And we are going to go to Outback, later tonight,

I did not use that entire gift card from my sister Tara, I did receive,

And I can't believe,

How quickly the bookshare staff, scanned the book and it, they did validate,

Many, were up late,

Parties everywhere, including at the national Braille Press,

Perhaps, not these very young party-goers, some, may have gotten rest?

They had a Harry potter party there, for Blind Children, they could all
share,

Their ideas: and costumes, they did wear,

I think, that is cute, great,

I am sure, you either love it or do hate?

However, many, more, are mad for it,appreciate it, you know?

Because, the statistics do show,

That, 350 million books were sold this weekend, 12 million, here, in the U.
S,

Can, that fact, you do digest?

And, it is spoken in 64 languages, in print, Audio and in Braille,

Can be read by Steven Fry or most prefer, from what I hear,Jim Dale.

Did you listen to Jeff's show last night? The Desert Skies?

And stay up until Sun Rise?

We did not,But did listen to Jeff, so did 21 other listeners, from what the
figures , did show,

That's wonderful you know?

He too, had a Harry Potter Party, had all kinds of trivia, questions from
each book, for us all,

But he chatted with listeners, who did call,

Like Debbie Hazelton, Timothy and Shirley,

Their Fans, not Darrell and me,

He spoke to Nickie Coby,

As well as Darrell and me,

First with Puppy Braille, about Harry potter, but mostly about FaceBook,

And soon after, I went to the site, and did take a look,

And did register, yet, it, I could not do,

What about you?

I could not get an Audio CAPTCHA and Fire Fox, I do not have on my system,
So, Darrell, had to register me,

Then, he and Jeff, discussed the yahoo petition and a new podcast client,
called pod breeze not Popery,

And Jeff, told us more about Harry Potter, the Characters, the Plot and the
Theme,

As well as mentioned Victor Stream,

And he said, on me, a Cast, he will spell,

With his magic wand, and soon, I go back to the Hyatt hotel,

Just 3 more days, my vacation will soon end, Tuesday, July
Twenty-fourth, to work, I do return,

To Serve our Guests, and those paychecks I will earn,

I have been relaxing and benefiting from the time off, and recuperating
from a sunburn,

And catching up on sleep, reading books, and organized some, our apartment,

Spending time with the Bishops, how, quick the time went,

Its now, noon, and in an hour, will be Desiree,

So, think I will go, not much else to say,

Do take care, stay well and have a great day.

Friday, July 20, 2007

Today's KDD: Harry Potter Mania and My KDD's you find pleasure

Its, 10; 30 on Friday July Twenty,

And today, I have plenty,

To say,

How are you? How is your day?

How are you all on this Harry Potter Eve?

I think, this will be a long KDD, you will receive.

Last night, we got a wicked storm, much rain, dust and Howell did the wind
and thunder and lightening as well,

And I do know, how many books, they will sell,

And a little more trivia too, but no Harry Potter Books, I have yet red,

And heard, a Couple will get Married tonight, and right after the
reception, after they do wed,

Out to the bookstore, Borders, they will go, along with many others,

Not just Children, other adults, Father's and Mothers.

I am not into the Harry Potter Mania, have not read a single word,

Don't know anything about this Magical wizard

However, I am considering reading Book one,

Maybe, it will be fun?

Let you know, when it's done.

Speaking of books, I am reading The Laura Ingles-Wilder story , Love
Little House on the Prairie,

And on the show, could never understand, her little Sister Carrie,

And, My Sister, Tara has progressive Myopia; witch took the sight of Mary.

Anyway, right now, Reading "Farmer Boy, about Almonzo, her husband,

Will read all of them, is that hard for you to understand?

Why, I like them so much? I read her books when I was young, most,

And tomorrow, in the crockpot, will make a pot roast.

Anyhoo,

With " Farmer boy", I am not yet through

Think there are 29 files and I only red 6,

And again, enjoying a music mix,

The Blend,

And Tina, got your TDD, about my KDd's, very glad, they I do send,

Enjoy writing them each day,

That to you all I can comprise them and send your way.

While, it did rain, bellow did the wind and lightening and thunder,

The covers I was under,

And red until almost 2 o'clock,

Does this you, shock

As the TV and reading on the Bookport, muffled the storm, the noise,

I red about Almonzo and the older boys

Some of it made me hungry as I red,

Describing, pancakes, sausage, turkey, potatoes homemade pies, and
especially, hot freshed bread,

I wanted to have a bite to eat, but it was too late,

So, until the morning, I did wait.

Right now, I am still reading about his Childhood

I find, it very good,

And Thanks again Jeff, for uploading to our network, all these files,

These books bring many fond memories for me,as a kid, many smiles.

Now, an hour has passed, almost noon,

And today, did you know 38 years ago, Man landed on the moon?

Our pool we have not been able to use,

All week, our apartment manager, thinks, some kids tossed in booze,

Other things like, suntan lotion and or food dye,

It's a health hazard, not safe, that is why.

He thinks, they threw in a keg of beer,

We have very immature, irresponsible and inconsiderate college kids living
here,

This is quite frustrating and very upsetting to us,

Hope, those kids, they do bust

And, their pool privileges, they will take away,

A 30 day suspension, and for some reason, pretty easy it is to write the
Kdd today

Needless-to say, they have had to add additional chemicals, Chlorine and
treat the algae,

Shock the pool,

This, is not at all cool

Hope, we can swim in it this weekend,

And love writing these KDD's I send,

They do take much time,

And sometimes, I find, it difficult to make them rhyme,

And at times, I don't at all think they're profound, and what is the point
of this at all?

Yet, I see, how they make a difference to you all,

For those who do read my site,

You find pleasure in what I write,

And guess, you want me to continue? Create?

Even if they are not that great?

You still think they are worthwhile?

They make you smile,

That makes me feel good you know?

And most of the time, the words just flow,

And this Hobby, of mine,

Has gotten easier, the more I type, each line,

Practice makes perfect as they say,

And it's true, I will never be wealthy, but, writing enriches my life each
day.

And having you all in it,

And grateful I can think, construct a KDD,, and make the words fit,

Do it, with humor and whit

Well, don't have anymore to say, I am the one who is now losing steam, some
zing

Yet, will end this soon, this KDD to you all I do bring

I will not quit, throw in the Towel

And those of you, like Jeff, enjoy Reading, Harry Potter's," The Deathly
Hallows"

And because of the storm, , Cinda, kept you up all last night,

Not sure, if you all will be up all night?

And all weekend, the book you will read?

I know, one thing, a nap, you do need,

You all take care and stay well, and my vacation 3 more days, and it, will
come to an end,

And Have a fabulous Friday, my friends.

Summer Survival

Here is something you may find worthwhile. I know, I find it more
difficult to eat healthy and follow a diet, when, we have company or on
vacation. Hope you find these helpful.

Summer Survival Guide

Summertime brings with it all-new eating challenges--from family reunions to
fairs and carnivals. Here's how to get out, have fun, and still eat smart.
Summertime living might be easy, according to the Ira Gershwin song, but it
can be unhealthy too. Think about the menus at typical picnics or barbecues.
If you're not tuned in, it's easy to consume quite a few extra calories. And
while summer can be a great time to slim down by being outside and active,
remember to keep an eye on your waistline by eating smart.

Christina Stark, RD, CDN, a nutrition specialist in the division of
nutritional sciences at Cornell University, shares some strategies for
overcoming summer
temptations and keeping your living on the lighter side.

Family Reunion
The temptations: Anticipating Aunt Liz's special potato salad and starving
yourself before the reunion to "save up" for this high-calorie treat and
other
home-cooked goodies
Survival strategies: You don't have to forego such special summer fare, but
keep your portions small. Spend time visiting with Aunt Liz or other
relatives
instead of circling the buffet. Before making another round, wait 20 minutes
to allow your brain to register that full-tummy feeling.

Carnivals and Fairs
The temptations: Known for taking foods dunked in hot oil to new extremes
Survival strategies: To reduce the potential damage to your waistline,
choose fresh fruit, corn on the cob, or a plain soft-serve cone. If you must
indulge,
split a decadent treat into quarters and share it with family and friends.
And to quench your thirst on blazing summer fair days, rely on water.

The Beach
The temptations: Lounging on the beach and soaking up the sun--activities
that don't burn many calories and may end up burning your skin
Survival strategies: Lather on the sunscreen, bring the beach umbrella, and
keep your visit to off-peak sun hours--either before 10 A.M. or after 3 P.M.
Instead of lounging, walk the sand, swim, or toss a Frisbee, ball or beach
toy to keep yourself moving. And bring a cooler with healthy snacks such as
water, iced tea, fresh veggies, and fruits.

Cookouts
The temptations: Too many before-dinner high-calorie munchies and cocktails
Survival strategies: Serve up a bounty of grilled in-season veggies and
fruits, such as peppers, asparagus, squash, and pineapple. Offer low-fat
dips and
marinades along with whole wheat buns to accompany fresh fish, chicken
breast, or garden burgers. And don't forget flavored iced tea or spritzers
(made
with sparkling water and just a splash of fruit juice) for cooling light
refreshers.

Vacation
The temptations: Supersized entrées and large portions served up in
restaurants, sometimes supplying enough calories for two on just one plate
Survival strategies: Immediately halve your meal and ask for the rest to be
placed in a to-go bag if you have a way to safely store leftovers.
Otherwise,
split an entrée with someone else in your party. Then eat slowly. Take the
time to talk about the sights and plans for the rest of the vacation.

Study: Breaks can improve fat metabolism during workouts

American adults are advised to get at least 30 to 60 minutes of physical
activity each day.

People have often wondered if it is better to exercise in a single hour, or
to break it up into smaller chunks.

Japanese researchers found there was a greater breakdown in fat if men
rested during exercise.

The men also had lower blood sugar levels when they took a break.

The study in the "Journal of Applied Physiology" concludes that splitting up
your routine could actually improve your fat metabolism.

Creative Calorie Burners

This article is brought to you from the Eat Better America web site:
http://www.eatbetteramerica.com

To lose 1 pound of body weight, you've got to burn energy worth 3,500
calories.

Do Your Home Work
Don't think there's much you can do at home to burn calories except maybe
spin away on your stationary bike? Think again.

Activity for 30 minutes (moderate intensity) 150 lb 200 lb
Clean house (nonstop) 122 162
Paint 171 228
Mop floors (nonstop) 153 204
Move furniture 225 300
Climb stairs 306 408
Wash dishes 76 102

Simple Changes: Chop food by hand instead of relying on your food processor,
trek the stairs while talking on the phone, dance in the kitchen--all of
these will increase your calorie burn.

Power Shop
Believe it or not, there are actually a lot of ways you can burn calories
while shopping. Here are some ideas.

Activity for 30 minutes (moderate intensity) 150 lb 200 lb
Climb stairs 306 408
Push a cart 122 162
Carry groceries 286 382
Window shop 82 110 (Note: Walking with packages will burn more, depending on
the weight of the packages.)

Simple Change: Don't look for a close spot in the parking lot; park far from
the store or mall entrance and walk to your destination. Bonus: You'll leave
the chaos of the parking lot behind while reaping healthy rewards.

Pump Up Your Parenting
If you have children, you might already realize what a potent source of
energy they are. Join the fun and you can burn calories through kids' play.

Activity for 30 minutes (moderate intensity) 150 lb 200 lb
Bike ride (flat terrain) 220 294
Play Ping Pong 135 180
Jump rope 342 456
Inline skate 238 318
Rack leaves, jump in 143 191
Sled 238 318
Build a snowman 100 134
Play hopscotch 143 191
Carry an infant (15 lb) 125 167
Push an occupied stroller 148 198
Play on park equipment 143 191

Simple Change: Play your children's sports with them instead of just
dropping them off at practice. Participating in touch football, baseball,
and soccer will help you burn calories while fostering a sense of
togetherness within your family.

Learn the 9-to-5 Burn
If you feel like hours at work are hours lost when it comes to your
calorie-burning efforts, think again! Think out of the box--or the
cubicle--and you'll find many creative ways to exercise from 9 to 5. Here
are a few ideas:

* Park farther from your office than necessary, and build an early-morning
and late-afternoon walk into your day. Whenever you can, squeeze in a walk
at lunchtime.
* Forgo e-mail to deliver things to your coworkers in person, especially if
they're on the other side of the building.
* Work your muscles during long commutes or while sitting at your
desk--abdominal contractions, buttocks contractions--and burn extra
calories.
* Walk and talk when on the phone. Pacing burns calories, too!
* Take mini breaks every hour or so to walk a little, then return to your
office and do a few quick desk pushups (a mini pushup, leaning against your
desk).

Simple Change: Use the stairs whenever possible--on the way to lunch, to use
a bathroom on another floor, or to visit a neighboring department's water
cooler.

Try the Volunteer Workout
Be a good citizen and burn calories at the same time. It's easier than you
think, and what a lift to the spirit, too.

Activity for 30 minutes (moderate intensity) 150 lb 200 lb
Collect recyclables 216 288
Paint over graffiti 171 228
Work in a soup kitchen 90 119
Shovel your neighbor's driveway 202 270
Sing at a nursing home 90 119
Bake for the school fund-raiser 90 119

Simple Change: Don't know how to find the perfect fit for your talents? You
can learn more about volunteering in your area through the Volunteers of
America Web site, www.voa.org.

Take It Outdoors
Take long strolls, ride your bike, canoe. There's so much you can do in the
great outdoors. Don't forget about these underrated calorie burners.

Activity for 30 minutes (moderate intensity) 150 lb 200 lb
Walk the dog 148 198
Garden 162 216
Paint 171 228
Rake leaves 171 228
Mow lawn (pushing, not riding) 162 216
Stack firewood 207 276
Shovel snow 202 270

Simple Change: Whoa, back up that car! Don't frequent a car wash when you
can wash it yourself. Grab a bucket of hot, soapy water and a big sponge.

"Honey Do" Workout
Even if you don't have a "honey do" list hanging beside your workbench, you
probably keep a mental list of all the things you need to do around your
home. Tackle that list and you'll be improving body and environment at the
same time. Check out these chores.

Activity for 30 minutes (moderate intensity) 150 lb 200 lb
Paint 171 228
Move furniture 225 300
Stack firewood 207 276
Plant trees 162 216
Clean house (nonstop) 122 162
Perform carpentry, general 107 143
Install gutters 215 286
Sweep garage, sidewalk 143 191

Simple Change: Forget about the power drill, power saw, nail gun, and wood
splitter. You'll burn more calories by picking up the screwdriver, handsaw,
hammer, and maul and doing the job the old-fashioned way.

Activate Your Idle Moments
Life is full of them--those annoying minutes that pass while you're on hold
or standing in line or waiting in traffic. Here are some tips for getting
through the less colorful moments in your life and maximizing calorie
burning.

* Pace or jog in place while talking on the phone.
* Walk the stairs while waiting for your coffee to percolate.
* Power walk at the mall while others shop.
* Use a basket instead of a cart at the grocery store.

Simple Change: Hate waiting in line? Well don't just stand there--fidget!
That's right. Fidgeting burns more calories than merely standing does. Tap
your feet or your fingers, pace if you can--just move.

Today's KDD: Vacations in Maine and Mountain Wings Message; You can't Please Everybody

Its Thursday July Nineteenth, at 10; 46,

And Today, I can actually listen to a music mix

Working again, is our XM radio,

And how are you? if you care to share, I'd like to know.,

In our living room, is playing the Blend,

And how are things Friend?

Do you have anything to say?

Today is my Mom's Birthday,

And she I called to wish her a good one,

And she commented, here we get so much sun.

And there, in New Hampshire, they are having so much rain,

And how recently, they went to Kennebunkport Maine,

Last weekend,

With Family, not a friend.

My sister Mary Beth, her husband Todd and two Children, Emma and Marin,
rented a cottage for two weeks, fun, they all had,

And last weekend, my Parent's rented a cottage for a couple days,

Where, we, as a Family had years ago, a few times stayed

And that, it is near a place called Goose Rocks beach,

Where, Dad us, he had taught, teached,

Us to swim,

And we would play with Mom and him,

When, we were all very small,

For a week or two, would have a ball.

My sister Tara and her 3 kids, were there, for a week recently as well,

And on the radio, is playing, "ring my Bell",

Everyone had a blast; a good time was had,

And from what Mom says, My Nephew Bobby, whom is almost 14, is tall as
Grandpa, my Dad.

They also went to a beach called Fortunes Rocks,

When, there, I would rather, wear my sneakers and socks,

The Waves are rough and much higher, and there I did not have as much fun

Yet, along the shore, I'd walk, not run,

However, if you were brave enough,

Were tough,

And enjoyed being tossed around,

Did not mind, the sound,

And mind getting beaten up by the waves, this place is for you,

Darrell, I know you do,

So, think you'd like it there

More about Kennebunkport Maine, I'd like to share,

It's a wonderful place to go, for a vacation

And very glad, our XM radio is working, that I can listen to the Blend or
80's station.

Anyway,

Goose Rocks beach is a fun place to play

And many fun memories I have, of the summers spent,

And of the Cottages, we would rent,

It did not matter if the days, were rainy, cloudy or it did sun

We most always had fun.

Even on the partly cloudy days, or when it would rain,

One could have a good day in Maine.

We would go walk in the early morning, before most would be on the beach,

Later in the day, go to a museum, or take art classes in town, they would
teach,

Us things to make with things we would find,

Like Marine life, enable us to utilize our creative mind.

My Sister's and I enjoyed the art class,

And on cool rainy days, would gather colored glass,

Nice smooth pieces, that can easily be found,

From the bottles left, tossed into the ocean, the waves, would pound

And scatter on the shore, not out to sea,

They were beautiful, if you could see, you'd agree.

Sometimes, we would collect clams, hidden underneath the sand,

One, could see a little hole, and knew they were there, had to be careful,
understand,

Their shell, you did not want to break,

Or our raft, to an island, we would take,

And pluck muscles, gather a few bucket's full and take them home, prepare
and eat

Would do all this, in just our bathing suits and bare feet.

During the day, my sister's and I would swim, or sand castles with Dad, we
would build,

Or when little, our pails, with water, we filled,

Also, in our pails

We would gather various kinds of marine life, Sand dollars, star fish,
shells or snails.

When, we got older on the beach we would read more or listen to the radio,

Or into town we would go

Sometimes, we would go to the Amusement Park or to the Animal Farm,

Or after dinner, browse the stores, small, quaint shops, filled with charm,

Had cool stuff, that was interesting and unique,

We enjoyed each week,

In the summer's that we spent there,

Learned to feed the animals, bottled milk, first with caution, and then
after, more comfortable, but still with care.

Fed animals such as sheep's and goats,

And on cold days, would build a fire read a good book or paint rocks, my
folks, a shark , lighthouses or boats,

Where as I, would paint flowers,

We would take many showers,

My Dad painted a rock, looked like a wale,

And home, I'd write my friends, hand-written letters, and would receive
mail

Those were the days, that I do recall,

Not spend at the arcade or the mall,

Next year, they would like us to go,

I'd love too, but don't know

Dad was also chatting with me today,

He did say,

He heard about Valley Fever and saw the other day an Aerial shot of a dust
storm,

I told him, this time of year in Phoenix that is the norm.

Not much else, I had to add,

Told them we are doing well, and that are jobs are going well, not bad,

And that was it,

And here, I now sit.

Last night, I was googling, trying to find material, to improve my writing
style,

It took awhile,

And some resources I did find, that I will look at in more detail,

Seriously considering taking writing classes and also looked at e-mail.

Saw one from Mountain Wings, said, they are more concerned about our Society
and in the past, that one, does read E-mail, then , see mail,

That we know people on line, don't visit our neighbor's house,

That we are more likely, to sit home, write an e-mail and use a mouse.

Also I read, when it comes to writing, no matter what Genre, there are two
things to remember, even if money, you don't want to earn,

How can it change yours and others life? and how from it,can we learn?

This is quite profound alright,

I attempt to do this, in these KDd's I do write

Not sure, if anything I here did say,

Had an impact on you today?

And difference in your life, my KDd's has made for you?

Change your mind set and the things you do?

Maybe, you discovered a new vacation spot to go??

Thought about how you communicate with family and friends, with and without
e-mail you know

Its now, noon,

How time flies, Safeway will be here soon,

Should go, things to do today, house to clean, and want to read, yet, this
KDD for you I wanted to compose,

How fast vacations go,

Do take care and stay well, hope your fine,

If you like, drop me a comment, a line.

Today's KDD: The Jigsaw of my Life

Its Wednesday, July eighteenth at 11 O'clock, gone is half the day

How are you all? How is your day?

Our XM radio does not work, it, we can not use,

And a couple KDd's I wrote yesterday, I did choose,

To not send your way

Felt, like I had nothing good to say,

Some never see the light of day,

Never, have a life of their own; never take shape or form,

And today, don't know, if we will get a storm.

I like my posts to be informative and filled with humor and whit,

Like them, to have a purpose, to rhyme, and the words all to fit,

Like a puzzle, the pieces to all neatly fit together, fall into place,

To brighten your day, to bring a smile to your face

To provide news and the events of my day,

Sometimes, I think, they are not worth sending, that their dull and you have
better things to do with your day,

So some KDD's I do begin never do send,

Trying to think of you friend,

Wish, I could play the blend,

Or listening to the 80's channel, Music I do enjoy, like to play,

And I need to order groceries later today.

The Channels on the XM radio, will not turn,

and, I still have a sunburn.

In the process of making a correction to my site,

I have discovered, how manyKDd's and things, I have posted, ones, that I
did write

Can't believe how many, almost two-hundred, exactly 193,

Mostly KDd's from me,

And that is not all, including the previous ones, the old ones, I wrote this
past year,

Some of them, have still not have been posted here.

Yet, more, I will, wish I had begun this long ago, when, I was young,

However, these, I am very glad to you, I did brung,

Hope they made your day?

That you liked what I did say?

That, they make you reflect, ponder, you gain from it, that you, yourself
grow?

Learn from what you read, from someone else, and me, you know?

This was not the purpose of these when I begun,

It was, just to have fun,

And does something, work on a hobby of mine, and keep in touch, with things
I say,

Each day

Well, should go, the day is almost shot,

And again, here, it will be hot,

Do hope all is well for you?

That you're okay? tell me, what is new?.

Would love to hear from you, send a comment or two,

Write an e-mail and do reply,

Or just say hi,

I'd be interested in whatever, you have to say,

For now, do take care and have a wonderful day.

Heartwarmers: Planting Happiness

I know, some of you whom read my blog, subscribe to these, but am
not sure if you all do, so I am passing this along. We all need to plant
some happiness each day . Take Care.
The best thing to happen to mornings since the Sun!

Your morning thought for the day:
Let us be grateful to people who make us happy:
They are the charming gardeners who make our
souls blossom.
-- Marcel Proust

How is your garden doing this summer? Have you been out getting
your hands dirty? Attracting some hummingbirds? Weeds getting the
best of you?
Today, Nancy provides us a great story about how "growing
flowers are much like growing happiness." You'll enjoy it. Why
don't you tell us how you "plant" happiness?
We also have a new poem to present to you that could become
quite the classic. In the spirit of Dr. Seuss, we offer you the
"Raggedly Taggedly Higgledy Man" by one of our esteemed contributors,
P.S. Gifford.

PLANTING HAPPINESS
by Nancy B. Gibbs

Last year, I placed a flower pot on my patio.
It was only half-filled with potting soil. There wasn't any
sign of life. There were no seeds to grow. So as you can imagine
the flowerpot remained barren.
Last week, I decided that the neglected flower pot needed a
little lift. I went to a garden shop and checked out the blooming
plants. While trying to decide which flowers to purchase, I went to
another store and ran across some flower seeds. I picked up one of
the packages and read the instructions for planting.
"I am up for the challenge," I thought. Many people have green
thumbs, but I have always insisted that I don't. Either I water my
plants too often or not enough. I either bake the plant in the
sunshine or place it in areas that are too shady. I know some plants
like it hot and wet, while others like it dry and shady. But for the
life of me, I cannot remember which are which.
As I stood holding the envelope of seeds, I felt the urge to see
if for the first time I could actually make something grow. I
purchased several packages and returned home with a gardener's
determination and drive. I immediately planted the seeds in the
almost forgotten flower pot. For a couple of days nothing happened.
But I continued to water the soil.
On the fourth day, I actually saw green sprouts as they had just
broken through the soil. I was so excited. The tiny shoots brought
a smile to my face. I called Roy to come to look at them. Maybe my
thumb wasn't completely off-colored after all! Maybe I could make
something grow!
I thought about how growing flowers are much like growing
happiness. Our lives are sometimes like the empty pot. Our days are
filled with worldly tasks and possessions. But because worldly
things are of such little importance, we lack a feeling of
completeness. We sense there is something missing.
The missing ingredients in my flower pot were the things that
created life itself -- seeds. The things that we may be missing in
life are seeds of hope, love, faith, and determination.
When we accept the fact that our life gardens will produce
exactly what we plant, we become more concerned as to what we plant.
I planted a variety of flower seeds that day. I understand that the
zinnia seeds will produce zinnias. The morning glory seeds will
produce morning glories.
Likewise, if I plant happiness in my daily life, low and behold,
I will find joy in everything I do. If I plant negative thoughts
inside my heart, I will only grow more discontented with each passing
day. Whatever is planted inside my heart will grow.
If we plant seeds of hope, we can expect miracles.
When we plant seeds of passion, love will come back to us.
The Bible tells us that without faith we cannot possibly please
God. Shouldn't we all plant seeds of faith? And if we plant seeds
of determination, there is absolutely nothing that can stop us from
being the persons God created us to be. When God is pleased with us,
our blessings multiply much like the blooms produced from a tiny seed.
In the next few days and weeks, I am expecting the tiny sprouts
to grow taller. Then I am expecting a flowerpot filled with
blossoms. The once neglected pot will hold beautiful flowers of
assorted colors, simply because I planted faith along with those few
seeds.
This past weekend, our granddaughters Hannah and Katie came for
a visit. Three-year-old Katie wasn't initially fond of the idea of
returning home. When her Daddy told her that he had missed her, she
looked up at him and whispered, "But Daddy, I was just so happy at
Nana and Pa's."
We laughed together. We played together. We blew bubbles in
the backyard. We watched television together. We went to the zoo.
And we went on a picnic. The weekend was ours to do nothing but to
plant seeds of happiness in the hearts of our granddaughters.
Are you planting seeds of happiness in the hearts of those you love?

RAGGEDLY TAGGEDLY HIGGLEDY MAN
by P.S. Gifford

A long time ago, in a far off place,
I was strolling at my usual pace.
When I suddenly caught the waving hand,
of a raggedly taggedly higgledy man.

I studied his ragged tatted clothes
I studied his face and higgledy nose
then all at once, I had a plan!
Help that raggedly taggedly higgledy man!

"Come with me," I gleefully cried.
(My emotions I found hard to hide.)
"Yes, old man help you I can,
you dear raggedly taggedly higgledy man."

He looked at me with smiling eyes,
"Thank you," he said, "what a surprise!"
He walked with pride and looked quite grand,
for a raggedly taggedly higgledy man.

I took him back to my humble abode
and made him rest his aching load.
As I cleaned him up, how the tears ran,
From the raggedly taggedly higgledy man.

I cooked him a nice spinach pud,
I cooked it up, I cooked it good,
And served it with a piece of ham,
"Eat well raggedly taggedly higgledy man."

He smiled and told me "You are blessed,
You have passed the humanity test."
As he spoke my understanding began.
He's no raggedly taggedly higgledy man.

So if you encounter someone in need
Please help them out, this I plead.
We need to do all, yes all we can
for every raggedly taggedly higgledy man.

Today's KDd: Oodles of fun, and Fun Noodles

Here, is a summary of the weekend Darrell and I had with the Bishop Family.
A great time was had by all.

Its Monday, at 3; 21,

And we all had fun,

Darrell, me, and the bishop clan

We did not play kick the can,

Or wet and wild volleyball,

But, I think a lot of fun was had by all,

At least, I hope so,

And around 1; 30today, they did go.

Saturday early morning, they did drive,

And two hours later, they did arrive

They live in Tucson two hours south,

Not North, West or East,

And we had a feast.

All 6 of us in a two bedroom apartment

For the most part, well, things went,

And much time, was spent,

In the pool laughing, screaming and playing with pool toys,

And think, bored were the boys,

Did not have a way to play their video games, like the wee

And Keri made some delicious Herbal tea.

We had a cook out, a barbecue,

And how are things? How are you?

Soon after they did get here, we all swam,

Did not install any ram

Did not cook a ham,

Or play with our cam.

David Saturday afternoon, stayed inside and watched the dogs, Dougie and
Jascinda, and watched television did not play on the net

And Yesterday, Sunday, Keri and the kids , David and Brian and I went to
Target,

To get air Mattress's and also Fry's Market place, to get more food to eat,

And we stayed out of the heat

Were not in the pool, in the middle of the day,

And Twice on Saturday and once yesterday,

In the pool we all did play.

We found some pool toys that some College Kids left behind

It gave us something to play with, relax and unwind,

After we ate and not before we did digest

We hung out in the pool, goofed around and distressed

We found not floaties inner tubes or rafts,

And Keri and I did not do any crafts.

However, Jeff and Darrell, played on computers, Darrell on his, and Jeff on
mine,

And none of us had any alcohol, no wine.

Jeff also, put an Audio CAPTCHA on his Blog,

And quite, dirty, got Dougie Dog,

When, we all were in the pool last night,

And for 3 days, I did not read a novel or nothing at all, I did write

No e-mail or KDd's

And yesterday evening, we had Hot dogs and hamburgers with cheese.

We played with Styerofoam pool toy thing ees,

And after swimming last night, had frosty's.

While in the pool, Jeff and Darrell ganged up on me

Yet, I can hold my own, you see

Well I can swim and my legs are strong,

And Jeff, would take the toys, and it, he would bong,

Me, in the head, or just about anywhere, he could hit

But, I can handle it,

I am feisty, and did not quit.

In fact, I hung on tight, for dear life

And Darrell, picked on me a little, his wife,

Did not want to get dunk

But, I have spunk,

And I do splash and was a wiggle worm,

I squirm,

And usually manage to get away, am like a fish,

Don't do as they wish,

Let them flip me and get their way,

I continue to play,

And laugh, swim and run,

I have lots of fun,

And, I think, hope, they do too?,

Sometimes, I am very quiet and other times, I give them a clue,

I laugh and splash, and sneak around,

Swim under water, and me, there, I am found,

Grabbing their fun noodle,

Not boodles,

And we had oodles

Of fun,

We had,

And I am very glad,

We all hung out together,

But, wish, nicer was this weather,

It was so bloody hot, we all did burn, so had to use aloe, you understand,

And I miss, the smell and sound of the ocean, the cool breeze, sound of the
waves, seagulls, and touch of the sand,

We relaxed and Keri did not knit,

But, This morning for breakfast, she did make Mc eggs on a biscuit,

And Saturday, I made Manicotti with garlic bread, we all scoffed it down, it
was a successful meal,

And we just had a leisurely weekend, did what we feel.

I have been watching little House for the last two hours

And this weekend, took many showers,

Did not at all go to the movies, to the park or the mall,

And Jeff, us, you did just call,

And home, you did arrive,

Hope, not bad was your drive?

And it's raining there, from what you did say

And later today

I will listen to the Little House Books, that Jeff, you did upload,

On our network, and I am not in creative mode

This KDD is not very good, definitely not one of my best,

And for the rest of the day, I will get some rest.

Its now, 4; 46,

Wonder, whose playing a music mix,

And doing our show?

The Desert Cafe ,You know?

Hope, it's not on the loop?

And here, is a synopsis of our weekend, here is the scoop

And hope you're all doing well, and doing alright,

And write more tomorrow, not tonight.

KDD: Inspired after reading the Christmas Carols for the Deranged 12;17.06 12;56 pm

This Is what I wrote after reading the Message Jeff had passed on about "
Christmas Carols for the Deranged". I have no Kdd for you all, not one
yesterday nor today. Yesterday was busy getting things done before the
Bishop Family came up and today, well, I am still half asleep. I am
sitting here trying to wake -up. Jeff, and Family should be here soon. I
had planned on posting this yesterday, last night, but then found out Jeff
was doing his show. He did a special " Christmas in July. Thanks to me
and my Comment about XM playing Christmas music as well as all these posts
about The Holidays I have sent to you to read now, rather then later. I
will likely not be writing any KDD's until Monday night. Yet, you all have
plenty to read between now and then. Well, much to do before the gang
arrives. Take care .
Its almost noon, on December 17 How is your day,
By end ,of the day, 128 Guest will stay,
One, can probably hear a pin drop,
& this morning, more I did shop.

Its very quiet Here, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel,
&, I am doing pretty well,
My Holiday shopping is practically done,
Not much fun,
Not at all,
& I did not do any of it, at the Mall .
I am feeling somewhat tired,
& inspired,
I am feelling upbeat & can now see the light,
& now, that the shopping is
over, can again write. (:

Creativity does flow in my Brain,
& today, we will get Rain.

The thoughts do rule,
& Glad, Keri's computer is working, that is cool. (:
& glad too, the drunk Creepy Guy went to Jail,
& Jeff, this morning, got your mail,

Christmas Carols for the deranged
What about, the strange,
The Crazy,
The Lazy,
The workaholic,
The sick,
Ones, who disobey the Law,
Or our special creatures, who have soft ears, tails & Paws?
What about, The many, who break violations,
Or the people who work at Gas stations?,
What about, those, who commit Chrimes,
Or those like me, who write with Rhyme,
Or, those, like Marlaina, who like Martini's & wine,
I too, like Cheese & wine,
I prefer whiteover Red, or Rose ay,
&, never been to the San Francisco Bay,

What about the Soda & coffee Addicts,
Or the groupies of the Dixie Chicks,
Or the Band Member's of Styx,
Or the Beech Boys,
Or the Elves who make all the Toys?

I do not see a list for all who fit these categories,
Where, are they please?
I would like to see one, in my box,
Or maybe, on TV from Cox,
Would like to see one on Christmas Eve, or by Christmas day,
What do you say?
Can this request be filled?
Or, will I be killed?,
Or will I be strung up by my heels?
Go without eating, getting no meals,
Maybe,in the shower, you won't let me sing?.,
Maybe, you won't do a damn thing,
Just laugh & smile,
& think, I have lost my mind,
& recognize, I am kind,
& doing this, to brighten your day
Did your spirits rose?,
After, reading the KDD,I compose?,
Its now, 12;42,
& I think, I am almost through,
Not sure, what else to say, I can't think,
& once again, I had too much coffee & water to drink,
& the restroom,I need to go,
& Jeff, are you & Marlaina doing the show?

&, the article you sent on Diabetes,

I can not access,
& I feel like I needmore rest,
So much there,on the web site, I think its great, you shall see,
A possible cure, there will be?
Almost time for me to go to lunch, take my break,
So, I will end, for today,
Will go & get on my way,
Do take care & stay well,
& if you can , do write,
or talk tonight? (:

Last KDD today: What I wanted to be when I grew up!:)

Its still Thursday, at 5; 06,

And the XM radio is still playing, the blend, a music mix,

I had not planned to again today write,

And Hope you all have a good night.

I was reading e-mail, and came across a message from classmates.com, not my
space, never been to that site,

And it gave me an idea, on a subject to write.

In the message it said, what were the 3 things you wanted to be, when you
grew up? We all had a few?

What about you?

When, I was small loved Dolls and all I wanted to be was a Mommy that was
when I was seven, not eight

And then, at 10, wanted to be a Doctor, make people feel great,

Cure all diseases and want to do that, still today,

And then, about the same age, professional basketball I wanted to play.

Of course, that wouldn't be possible, not only was I visually impaired but
very short, only 5 1,

And could not make up my mind, also wanted to be a Teacher and a
Stewardess, traveling around the world seemed to be fun. J

I have always wanted to help others and provide a service, that, I do best

And when I discovered a decade ago, that I could do, and enjoy an office job
work at a Hotel and serve our Guests,

And I do that well,

Yet you all know, a novel I hope to write, and someday sell,

Who knows if that will be?

For now, my writing you can see,

On my blog, go to my site,

And for now, have a good night.

KDD: Continuation, Critique of the Novel, " Husband: 11.25.06 11;36 a.m

This morning, I am doing quite well,
& if you see the House Count few rooms they do sell,
Today, 18 % & tomorrow 16 %,
& now, a KDD, I am trying to sent
A KDD I am attempting to produce,
& I am sitting here, having more coffee, not Juice,
I am awake, but,not quite alert,
& my right Sshoulder hurts
& an adjustment, I really do need.
& Dean Koontz Novel, was definitely a good reed.
& though, I am feeling pain & my arm feels restricted ,
& I wish, I am still in bed,
I am doing great
&, We were up pretty late.
A Teriffic Thanksgiving, Darrell & I had indeed,
We did not do much, go out to eat, much time,I , did read,
Reading the novel from the Bookport,
Not in court,
Or watching sports.

Of course, comments I have regarding, the Novel,
It is another one, I like quite well,
and maybe, some day, a Novel, I will sell,
that it will be on the top Seller's list?,
on the bookstore shelves?,
ordered online, & delivered by Santa, not Elves,
Not just during the Christmas Season,
Any time, for no reason.

Always, say, I will
Yet, don't think, I have the talent,
& do not think,it will pay the rent?.
Perhaps, its an unrealistic dream?,
and I am better off, staying here, at Hyatt,, & assisting the team?
Some say, I should go into Medicine, not work in a lab?,
Or I should work for rehab?,
That, I should be a doctor
Or a Counselor of some Kind,
To help others, with their troubles, ease their mind,
Or assist, with Blind folks, obtain their goals,, & a job to find.
Sorry, I seem to digress,
I think, I need some more rest,
I will be alright,
& can tell, This Kdd, will be long, Today, I write.

Anyhow, As I said, much time I had spent,
and the Novel, the Husbund ", was excellent,
Yet, never ends, How , I,the reader, , thinks it will,
&, we, the reader, can't get our fill,
& I know me, want the Novel to continue,
& sometime, disappointed, the avenue,
Koontz, takes the Character's, Plots, and scenes,
Often,not how things seem,
& the way in which the novel's do end,
& how he raps it all up, very quickly in the last page, two or three,
Wouldn't you agree?

I guess, perhaps, from the beginning, I was confused, thought, He had
said,
That, the " husband" was dying, would be dead,
So, I expected, the book, not to end well,
For them, to be separated, Husbund and Wife,
For him to end his life,
and was very happy but surprised that it ended peacefully,
That,is how, I like all things to be! (:

Then, I did not like the transition, from the second to the last Chapter,
to the Last,
As I have stated, his books, end way too fast!

I, myself, would continued the Police pursuit,
The Novel, would have taken, an additional route,
and more, chapters, about, the Kidnapping Incident,
& the Hostage exchange, would be spent,
and more words & pages, would be filled,
About the Men, who were killed,
& the Ordeal, Mitch and Holly had experienced,
those chapter's would be intense,
& a possible arrest ,
for the Crimes,
& Mitch doing time,
Or, to see a Court Case,
Perhaps, that, would be a waste,?
and what happened, to Kamble & Tagart?
& the Cops, on Hot pursuit, on his heels?,
and for also, stealing the wheels,
and nothing more, was
said, about that day,
one minute, the kidnapper is being shot, and the next, Their Son
Anthony , does play,
and 5 years, go by,
and no questions are asked, why?
The case, solved to everyone's satisfaction,
All had taken action,
In the pages,in between,
None of us, we had seen,
&, in our imagination, the path, we could take,
or, be happy, with the ending, that Koontz, did make?

Imagination, is a wonderful thing,
That books, allow,us to do,
Yet, just did not like the transition, from the Kiddnapping incident, to
the Chapter last, that is true.

However, what would you have done?
Would you have fun?
Rearranging Character's & plots ,
& other elements of each book?
Would, you allow your mind , to examine, & take another look?
Or do you just accept & are pleased, with what you read?
Or, do you feel the need,
Like me,
Pages & Characters , to add or subtract?
Something, I find, they do lack,
& want to see more,
Yet, I continue, to read his Novel's, not from the store,
& like to read on Audible better, I can retain,
& process, what is happening in my Brain.

Did you ponder, where Holly was held Captive?
Or just wondered, whether, she was going to live?
I thought from time to time, where she was being held for ransom,
and , escape, would, Anson?,
That, was not revealed to the reader, None,
As well as, what happened, while,on the run.

From the details of the Novel,
& the direction, the book took,
It made me think, made me look,

Remember, what, was being said?
As you red?
Mitch could see, but was blind,
Could hear, but was deaf?
This made me, think, where, Holly, was left.

The scene, where she was held, as a Hostage, was like an Attic
With all those Nails and boards,
Dust and cords,
Both the loft and the hostage site, seemed similar, so, she might,
Have been held there?,
Yet, do you really care?
Its irrelevant,
I do agree,
Yet, my brain, thought of that too, you see. (: lollol

While, writing this,
I think, & Darrell, I see , me, you miss,
An E-mail you sent, Quiet I seem,
Helping my team,
& your worried ,
and soon, this KDD, you will read,
and realize, I am fine,
that, Iam okay,
That, I have been busy, typing away.

How is your day?
More, I had wanted to say,
But, will write it, in another installment,
Two Kdd's, will be sent,
Will make up for not sending one yesterday
Know, you will be more then okay, with me sending two,
How are things?
What is new?
The morning,is almost gone, 11;21,
The work day, half way done.

Do take care and stay well,
& I, have more to say,to tell,
& you will ,just have to see,
about, what,or who?
Will,it be about you? (:
Stay tuned,
Don't go away,
Yet, do get done, what you have planned for your day.
Do talk later,
Perhaps, tonight,
If you can, please, do write,
A little something, a line or two,
To say how you are, what is new.

Until then,(:

Multitasking Should Be Outlawed
Relaxation Tip for Thursday, July 12

OK, well maybe not outlawed but somethings got to be done. All this
multitasking, shmultitasking is having a very stressful effect on people's
work and
lives.

The very fact that we have a word for the practice of doing many things at
once should tell you that the conflict between "doing" and "being" is more
powerful
than ever.

We eat lunch while returning emails, we chat on the phone while reviewing
reports, we practice our golf swing while sending a fax.

All this juggling can get easily out of hand. It will be hard to stop cold
turkey, but you can slowly and gradually reclaim your life.

1- Start by noticing how many tasks you are doing at any given moment.

2- Ask yourself which task is the most important and which is the least
important.

3- Get rid of the task that is on the lower end of the food chain. Even if
it means not listening to your favorite talk show host while doing business,
or telling someone that you will call them back later to discuss Macy's shoe
sale.

4- Once again pay attention to what you are doing and realize that you are
getting done what you want done in a more concentrated, constructive and
relaxed
manner.

5- Congratulations! Now go run down to Macy's and get yourself a pair of
shoes before the sale ends.
Thank you,

Today's KDD: Old Habits, hard to break!

It's Thursday July Twelve, around 12 O'clock,

And in our living room the music does rock,

Brian Adams is playing on the radio,

And hope Jeff, tomorrow night, you will still do your show?

Eighty's music is playing and I frequently surf and find ones to listen too
and to dance

I will listen to 80's, 70's, a blend or the Heart, romance,

Depends on my mood, and my activity,

Will crank them, when I am writing and or doing housework you see.

Of course, if I am singing and dancing, longer it does take, yet, I have
more fun,

And, the work still gets done.

Yesterday and This morning, that is exactly what I did,

Learned how to do most chores as a kid,

However, learned alternative techniques when I lost my sight,

So, I can do the job right.

Some things I already did as a blind person, since me too,

Did not have full sight, so, some I knew.

Furthermore, before going blind, I was closer to being a perfectionist, much
like my Dad,

A place everything had,

But, then, I could not see, and I felt overwhelmed, and did not know what
things were, what to do, and under so much stress,

So, things became a bit of a mess,

As well as I was scared and depressed,

And did not care as much, and let things go

But, that is not good, you know?

One finds them deeper in a hole, and they can't get out more time, it does
take,

And , I, learned new habits, that are hard to break.

I am trying to work on this, trying to change,

Learn new and positive habits, things I will rearrange,

You know a habit can be broken in twenty-one days, Questions, do this
raise?

Like how? And what? Can be done to find new ways?

To be better organized? to get yourself out from under , complete the maze?

From what I am told, from what I understand, each habit you break,

A new one, you have to make,

You have to fill that void, and replace it with something; it's very
difficult to do,

This is true.

However, anything worth doing, takes work and time you need to invest,

This is best.

I will let you know what works for me, and what does not,

And again, today, it will be hot.

I am still chilly, but not as cold as yesterday,

And how are you all? how is your day?

I hope you like the Humorous messages I did post?,

And, this weekend, we will be the host

As said, the Bishops are coming up again,

there will be 6 people, two women, two kids, and two men

And two dogs, Cinda and Dougie, in a two bedroom apartment,

More time, at the pool, will be spent,

And air mattress's come in handy they, we can easily deflate,

It will be loads of fun, it will be great.

Well, I need to go, have to run,

Do have things to get done,

I was not going to write a new Dose for the day,

But, I know, you like me to send one, your way,

Do take care and stay well, stay cool

Have a good day, maybe, go to the pool?

Tomorrow more I will write,

And maybe, we will talk today, or tomorrow night?

Housekeepping Humor

As some of you know I am on vacation. Instead of taking a trip to the
beach or go on a cruise, we stayed home. Next month, we will take a short
Trip to Utah. We will be visiting a friend of Darrell's from High school.
Her name is Cyndi. She and I are looking forward to meeting.
Anyway, while on vacation, i Have been relaxing and taking it easy. Yet, I
also have been working on cleaning and organizing our apartment. Today, I
received an e-mail about how to organize and how to live clutter-free. I am
not one of those people, not one, who has everything in its place.
However, I am somewhere in the middle, not a perfectionist nor a slob. I am
not real messey and I am able to find things, most of the time.

Furthermore, I was looking at this one site on how to reduce stress and
become organized. I found some very good information there. One of the
things I came across is this message on Housekeepping and Humor. Its very
funny and think most of you will appreciate it. Take care.

You know when it's time to clean the fridge when:

The magnets are abandoning ship.

Your milk carton features an ad for the 1932 World's Fair

You have replaced your refrigerator lightbulb with a bug zapper.

Your Vegetable bin appears to be breathing.

Geraldo Rivera asks to lead an expedition into your fridge.

Your son can't find his science project in the fridge.

Your son's science project is the fridge.

Your freezer contains actual ice from the Ice Age.

Your lunch meat has petrified.
THIRTY MINUTES TO A CLEANER HOUSE

You're getting company in 30 minutes. Your house is a mess.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the first session of Housekeeping Tips for
Regular People. If you're a Martha Stewart type of housekeeper, this column
is NOT for you. However, for the rest of you, this is your chance to learn
15 Secret Shortcuts to Good Housekeeping that your mother never told you.

SECRET TIP 1: DOOR LOCKS
If a room clearly can't be whipped into shape in 30 days--much less 30
minutes--employ the Locked Door Method of cleaning. Tell anyone who tries to
go in
the room that the door is intentionally locked.
CAUTION: It is not advisable to use this tip for the bathroom.
Time: 2 seconds

SECRET TIP 2: DUCT TAPE
No home should be without an ample supply. Not only is it handy for plumbing
repairs, but it's a great way to hem drapes, tablecloths, clothes, just
about
anything. No muss, no fuss.
Time: 2-3 minutes

SECRET TIP 3: OVENS
If you think ovens are just for baking, think again. Ovens represent at
least 9 cubic feet of hidden storage space, which means they're a great
place to
shove dirty dishes, dirty clothes, or just about anything you want to get
out of sight when company's coming.
Time: 2 minutes

SECRET TIP 4: CLOTHES DRYERS
Like Secret Tip 3, except bigger.
CAUTION: Avoid hiding flammable objects here.
Time: 2.5 minutes

SECRET TIP 5: WASHING MACHINES & FREEZERS
Like Secret Tip 4, except even bigger.
Time: 3 minutes

SECRET TIP 6: DUST RUFFLES

No bed should be without one. Devotees of Martha Stewart believe dust
ruffles exist to keep dust out from under a bed or to help coordinate the
colorful
look of a bedroom. The rest of us know a dust ruffle's highest and best use
is to hide whatever you've managed to shove under the bed. (Refer to Secret
Tips 3, 4, 5.) Time: 4 minutes

SECRET TIP 7: DUSTING
The 30-Minutes-To-A-Clean-House method says: Never dust under what you can
dust around.
Time: 3 minutes

SECRET TIP 8: DISHES
Don't use them. Use plastic or paper and you won't have to.
Time: 1 minute

SECRET TIP 9: CLOTHES WASHING (EEWWW)
This secret tip is brought to you by an inventive teenager. When this teen's
mother went on a housekeeping strike for a month, the teen discovered you
can
extend the life of your underwear by two ...if you turn it wrong side out
and, yes, rerun it. CAUTION: This tip is recommended only for teens and
those
who don't care if they get in a car wreck.
Time: 3 seconds

SECRET TIP 10: IRONING
If an article of clothing doesn't require a full press and your hair does, a
curling iron is the answer. In between curling your hair, use the hot wand
to iron minor wrinkles out of your clothes. Yes, it really does work, or so
I'm told, by other disciples of the 30-Minutes-To-A-Clean-House philosophy.
Time: 5 minutes (including curling your hair)

SECRET TIP 11: VACUUMING
Stick to the middle of the room, which is the only place people look. Don't
bother vacuuming under furniture. It takes way too long and no one looks
there
anyway.
Time: 5 minutes, entire house; 2 minutes, living room only

SECRET TIP 12: LIGHTING
The key here is low, low, and lower. It's not only romantic, but bad
lighting can hide a multitude of dirt.
Time: 10 seconds

SECRET TIP 13: BED MAKING
Get an old-fashioned waterbed. No one can tell if those things are made up
or not, saving you, oh, hundreds of seconds over the course of a lifetime.
Time: 0

SECRET TIP 14: SHOWERS, TOILETS, AND SINKS
Forget one and two. Concentrate on three.
Time: 1 minute

SECRET TIP 15:
If you already knew at least 10 of these tips, don't even think about
inviting a Martha Stewart type to your home.

It's time to clean your house when.....

It's time to clean your house when.....

1. If you have just stepped on something and danced around in pain until you
slipped on a magazine, it's probably time to pick up again.

2. If you find your scissors by feeling around your dining room table until
you feel something hard of the correct shape, it's time to clear off a few
things.

3. If you need a gas mask to open your fridge, you might think about
throwing away some of those leftovers.

4. If you drop your comb in the bathroom and you pick it up with more hair
than is currently attached to your head, it's time to sweep.

5. If your feet stick walking across the kitchen floor, it's time to mop.

6. If it takes more than 20 minutes to find your kids when you wake them up
in the morning, it's time to have them clean their rooms.

7. If you haven't seen the floor of your car for a week because of the Happy
Meal litter on the floor and 'wash me' is written in the dust on the outside
of the car, it's time to take the hint.

Martha Stewart to Erma Bombeck:

Hi Erma,
This perfectly delightful note is being sent on paper I made myself to tell
you what I have been up to. Since it snowed last night, I got up early and
made
a sled with old barn wood and a glue gun. I handpainted it in gold leaf, got
out my loom, and made a blanket in peaches and mauves. Then to make the sled
complete, I made a white horse to pull it from DNA that I just had sitting
around in my craft room. By then, it was time to start making the place mats
and napkins for my 20 breakfast guests. I'm serving the old standard Stewart
twelve-course breakfast, but I'll let you in on a little secret: I didn't
have time to make the tables and chairs this morning, so I used the ones I
had on hand. Before I moved the table into the dining room, I decided to add
just a touch of the holidays. So I repainted the room in pinks and stenciled
gold stars on the ceiling. Then, while the homemade bread was rising, I took
antique candle molds and made the dishes (exactly the same shade of pink) to
use for breakfast. These were made from Hungarian clay, which you can get
in almost any Hungarian craft store.

Well, I must run. I need to finish the buttonholes on the dress I'm wearing
for breakfast. I'll get out the sled and drive this note to the post office
as soon as the glue dries on the envelope I'll be making. Hope my breakfast
guests don't stay too long--I have 40,000 cranberries to string with bay
leaves
before my speaking engagement at noon. It's a good thing.

Love, Martha Stewart

P.S. When I made the ribbon for this typewriter, I used 1/8-inch gold gauze.
I soaked the gauze in a mixture of white grapes and blackberries which I
grew,
picked, and crushed last week just for fun.

Response from Erma Bombeck:

Dear Martha,
I'm writing this on the back of an old shopping list, pay no attention to
the coffee and jelly stains. I'm 20 minutes late getting my daughter up for
school,
packing a lunch with one hand, on the phone with the dog pound, seems old
Ruff needs bailing out, again. Burnt my arm on the curling iron when I was
trying
to make those cute curly fries, how DO they do that?

Still can't find the scissors to cut out some snowflakes, tried using an old
disposable razor . . . trashed the tablecloth. Tried that cranberry thing,
frozen cranberries mushed up after I defrosted them in the microwave. Oh,
and don't use Fruity Pebbles as a substitute in that Rice Krispie snowball
recipe,
unless you happen to like a disgusting shade that resembles puke! The smoke
alarm is going off, talk to ya later.

Love, Erma

Erma Bombeck was a humor columnist for US (and perhaps other countries)
newspapers. She also had books out. She passed away last year I believe. Had
a lot
of 'realism' humor--being a mom, etc. (input by Jann. Thanks!)
You Know You're a Mom When:

1. Your feet stick to the kitchen floor. . .and you don't care.

2. When the kids are fighting, you threaten to lock them in a room together
and not let them out until someone's bleeding.

3. You can't find your cordless phone, so you ask a friend to call you, and
you run around the house madly following the sound -- until you locate the
phone
downstairs in the laundry basket.

4. You spend an entire week wearing sweats.

5. Your idea of a good day is making it through without a child leaking
bodily fluids on you.

6. Popsicles become a food staple.

7. Your favorite television show is a cartoon.

8. Peanut butter and jelly is eaten at least in one meal a day.

9. You're willing to kiss your child's boo-boo, regardless of what body part
it happens to be on.

10. Your baby's pacifier falls on the floor and you give it back after you
suck the dirt off because you're too busy to wash it off.

11. Your kids make jokes about burping, farting, pooping, etc., and you
think it's funny.

12. You're so desperate for adult conversation that you spill your guts to
the telemarketer who calls and HE hangs up on YOU!

13. Spit is your number one cleaning agent.

14. You're up each night until 10 PM vacuuming, dusting, wiping, washing,
drying, loading, unloading, shopping, cooking, driving, flushing, ironing,
sweeping,
picking up, changing sheets, changing diapers, bathing, helping with
homework, paying bills, budgeting, clipping coupons, folding clothes,
putting to bed,
dragging out of bed, brushing, chasing, buckling, feeding (them, not you),
PLUS swinging, playing baseball, bike riding, pushing trucks, cuddling
dolls,
rollerblading, basketball, football, catch, bubbles, sprinklers, slides,
nature walks, coloring, crafts, jumping rope, PLUS raking, trimming,
planting,
edging, mowing, gardening, painting, and walking the dog. You get up at 5:30
AM and you have no time to eat, sleep, drink or go to the bathroom, and
yet...you
still manage to gain 10 pounds.

15. In your bathroom there is toothpaste on the light fixtures, water all
over the floor, a dog drinking out of the toilet, and body hair forming a
union
to protest unsafe working conditions.

16. You buy cereal with marshmallows in it.

17. The closest you get to gourmet cooking is making rice krispie bars.

Are You Organizationally Challenged

1. Do you make panic runs to the garbage can for fear that someone has
thrown away something "important"?

2. Could you feed a family of four for more than two weeks from supplies
found inside your sofa?

3. Have you put off purchasing a refrigerator until you can find a
self-cleaning model?

4. Have you written to Dow to ask how you can get your Janitor in a Drum
out?

5. When you hear the phrase "cleanliness is next to." do you fill in the
blank with "impossible"?

6. Do you own more than 5 sets of keys you had made when the current set was
"missing in action"?
7. Is there something growing inside your refrigerator that puts your
houseplants to shame?

8. Have you ever put off a diet because you lost the book?

9. Do you put off redecorating the den because you haven't seen the floor in
so long that you've forgotten what color the carpeting is?

10. Do you know laundry can reproduce in a hamper?

11. Do you have at least three bags of "stuff to sort later" stashed
somewhere in the house?

12. Have you ever lost something in your bedroom, like the bed?

13. When visitors suggest that they'll throw their coats on the bed, do you
offer to set up a cot in the hall?

14. Does your storage system consist of 30 boxes marked "miscellaneous"?

15. Have you ever gone to put up the holiday decorations, only to discover
that you hadn't taken them down from last year?

Last KDD for Today: Feelling Chilly and fun weekend ahead

Its almost 2;30, spent time ordering groceries online,

How are you all?, Hope your more then, just fine?

I am doing well, but I am feelling chilly, had to take another shower, just
to stay warm,

Crazy I know, and don't think, today,we will get a storm,

And its Monsoon weather here,in our state,

And as you know, I was up late

Writing away,

And have a wonderful day.,

Though, dressed,I was wearing a robe, cold with the A.C, go figure,ey?

And, at Jeff's House, too hot with their swamp cooler, what can I say? Lol

Darrell is on his way to the cornea doctor, just a follow-up, am sure all
is okay,

Andin the living room, Music ,on the XM radio does play

This KDd, wil not be as long, much I have to do,

Before the day is through.

As I said, Groceries I did order from Safeway,

The Bishop's are coming up on Saturday,

The whole gang, Jeff,Keri, the kids and Jascinda for the weekend, here,
they will stay,

Will have a cookout and in the pool we will play,

Just hang around and have fun,

And probably by the end, get too much sun.

I should go, have our bedroom to clean as well as the refridgerator,

So, take care, write again later.:)

First KDD for today: More I Remember!...

Its Tuesday night, and I can't sleep,

Thoughts I do keep,

I am also cold, on is the A.C,

So, I am here, you see.

It's now the 11 o'clock hour,

And I took another shower,

Again, tonight,

Another KDD, I will post to my site,

And thought about the ideas I did jot to my blog,

The stream of consciousness, I did log.

Those things I wrote,

That little note,

Those things I do recall,

All of it, since I was small.

My first memories were at age 3, not many, but had a few,

How about you?

Do you remember too?

This train, I will continue riding,

And if you like, you, I am inviting,

Come! share, remember, do recall? Do reminisce,

If things you do miss,

Think about your Wonder years,

Yet, hope, they don't shed tears,

Bring smiles and Happiness,

And if you have some unresolved issues, hope they bring you rest

Peace and Harmony?

Writing, did it for me

It was life experience,

Things now make much more sense.

However, I'd like to share more memories,

Can I do this please?

If you don't want to finish reading this, go elsewhere,

Someone else will appreciate what I share.

I do remember before and after ten,

I do Remember When,

Playing with slinky's down the stairs,

With dolls and Bears

Playing with clay and silly puddy ,

Eating dirty and getting muddy,

With Etch sketch and light bright,

And my Parent's red me and my Sister's Nursery Rhymes at night,

And when, we got older, they still red to us,

And we had chores, had to vacuum and dust,

Our rooms,

Pick up our toys and use a broom

Do the dishes and once a month the basement and the garage too,

And could not play until those things were through,

Until the work was done,

Yet, we still had fun.

Remember, in the summer having ice-cream cones and running through
sprinklers,

Drinks with stirs,

And Mac cheese,

Getting skinned knees,

Crying,

But always trying,

Being shy and not having many friends at all in school,

Often feeling like the fool,

Did not at all like Junior High and High School was not much better

However, always loved writing letters,

And for many years, they I'd would handwrite,

That was when, I had high partial sight,

And when, that was gone, used the old typewriter, yet, longer they took,

At first, yet, still wrote a book

I do remember, I loved playing basketball,

And then and today, love the fall

Always loved reading mysteries,

And do remember, being stung by bees,

And did not care for the museum or the zoo,

How about you?

I remember, going through growing pains, and felt like I did not belong,

And for being punished when I did something wrong

I remember, how I loved Ballet and still love to dance,

And wish when, I was younger, more people gave me a chance,

That I could have experienced romance,

As a teen,

And Those classmates were so mean

should have been more respectful of each other, a hand, they could have
lend,

Be your friend.

However, this is a difficult time for most everyone,

You then, want to run?

May have had regrets for the things you had done?

I don't have any regrets, glad, things happened as they did,

Still have many fond memories as a kid,

Made it through adolescence and through much of adulthood,

Life is good,

Seems to get better as you get older, wiser but slower, it does go,

You know?

I remember, as a kid, an hour seemed like forever, that the time would not
pass,

That summer vacations went too fast

That we all were in a hurry to grow up and be on our own, that Mom and Dad
did not understand,

Life did not seem that great.

Do you remember, lying in the grass? or playing kick the can?

Do you remember what life was like when puberty began?

Do you remember when you first learned to read?

Or when you got the lead?

In the school play?

I remember the day,

When, auditioning for a role, in a school play,

That, I did not get the part,

Never felt very smart,

Yet, that did not stop me at all.

I played basketball,

And was in the choir, and in two musicals in High School,

Despite being cool.

I made it somehow, someway, most do,

You do what you can, to get through

I do remember, when, it cost only twenty cents to make a phone call,

When, most did their Christmas shopping at the mall,

Not on the net,

These Memories, I did not forget.

I do remember, having records and a TV with only 4 channels, nothing more,

And that it was much safer, for someone to knock-on your door,

That kids, could play outdoors,

Ride bikes, play with bucket and pails,

That, there was not a sight to save the whales,

That fewer people had credit cards, and made purchases with paper money

And that, people did not as often, become offended, and find humoring what
was, is, funny,

I do remember, the days before the term "road Rage, ", and before Terrorists
attacks,

And I was small, when they came out with the big Mac,

I know I am dating myself, that is so unlike me, so much information, I
usually don't disclose,

Not sure why I am doing this? Who knows?

I remember, the days, when more couples stayed together,

And the blistery cold weather,

In Jersey, and other areas of the east,

And remember, Christmas's and Thanksgiving feasts.

I remember, when fewer couples did divorce,

And remember, Mr. Ed,The talking horse.

I remember, when, kids did not take Weapons of any kind to school,

But, remember, when people were cruel.

I remember, living in Canada, for two years, not in the states

And when, more people were kind, considerate, not filled with anger and
hate.

I remember, when, people did not cut you off, were not as rude, helped
their neighbors when, they needed it,

I remember, the hits,

From the 70's and 80's learned to dance to disco,

And to ski downhill in snow

I remember the days, before all these electronic gadgets like cell phones,
Cd players and blackberry's,

Saved us time, and made life a breeze,

I remember the days, before the internet, modems and e-mail,

Visiting neighbors, friends, family and sending snail mail.

I remember the days, before one could telecommute,

When,We used the term "boot", when referring to turning on our Computer, our
Pc

We spoke to a human voice and did not hear a recording and have to listen to
a message 3 minutes in length,

Some people, don't have Courage and strength,

To hang in there with their relationships, with their spouse, friend, or
family member,

Some people, don't remember,

Do you?

Do you remember life long ago?

Those Memories, don't let go,

If you can recall, it's your life, after all.

Or when, you would type a hand-written note?

?

Do you remember, when you call someone, you would not get a voice mail? Or
an Automated Menu?

Or fewer people would sue?

Over something like spilling Mc Donald's coffee on their lap while driving a
car

Or over a Brawl at a bar?

Do you remember, when, you received more mail and not as much junk?

When you were feisty and had spunk?

Do you recall, the days, before you did worry?

Do you recall, when, you were not in a hurry?

Do you remember the days, before Identity Theft? And Weapons of Mass
destruction?

And recall, when, we did not have as much construction?

On the streets? On the Highway?

Do you remember the profound things one did say? The impact they had on your
life?

The days before Missiles? Guns and box cutters, and knives?

Do you remember the simpler things, when, things did not seem so
complicated? , those times, do you recall?....

A Heartwarmer: Music the Universal Language

I know, I had nothing to say that was eventful or significant
today, but when I red this, i knew I should post it. This is definitely a "
thought Provoking" message and it will likely change your perspective. I
enjoy reading heartwarmer's and Mountain Wings daily and you may too. So,
after grabbing your morning coffee, look at your e-mail, these types of
messages and start your day off right. I have been subscribed to " Mountain
Wings" for a long time now, years but just recently a member to
"heartwarmer's" . Thanks to Jeff for bringing this to my attention. Hope
it changes your life as well. Take care and read below.
The best thing to happen to mornings since the Sun!

Your morning thought for the day:
Ah, music. A magic beyond all we do here!
-- J. K. Rowling, Harry Potter author

Steve provides us today with a very thought provoking story
about a movie he saw that got him thinking. We've wondered the same
thing many times ourselves.
Please read today's Heartwarmer and let us know what you think.

week's Mailbag
THE UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE
by Stephen Banko

I went to a rather unusual movie recently.
It was unusual because there was no sex or violence or anything
we good Catholics would even have to confess, except for the
occasional swear word. The movie was called "Once" and it is little
known, but critically acclaimed.
In essence, the story is about two complete strangers, one Irish
and one Czech, who meet on a Dublin street and forge a bond because
of their mutual love of and commitment to music.
Throughout the movie, an odd mix of characters come together,
bond and blend their talents through the universal language of music.
It was one of those movies that makes you feel strangely good about
having seen it.
In thinking about the movie, I was taken by the extraordinary
gift that is music. Even when language separates, music unites. The
hero plays a beat-up old guitar and sings sad dirges of love lost.
The heroine plays Mendelssohn on the piano with gifted fingers. They
recognize the beauty in each other's song and they blend their
talents to make the song even richer.
And somewhere along the way, it made me thing that religion is
supposed to do the same thing.
The moral core that is our essence is also the essence of most
religions throughout the world. Our understanding of a just and
loving God transcends the depth of our human understanding and calls
us to unite in our love for one another. That call is not the
singular call of Christianity. Virtually every religion in the world
is based on that single premise -- that our earthly world is made
more perfect through our love and caring and commitment to each other.
Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Christians and Muslims all believe in
the inherent goodness of man and search for a way to a more perfect
life of peace and harmony. They all strain for peace and for the
fellowship of human kind.
So why can't religion act as a unifier instead of a divider in
our world? If music can provide musicians with a universal language
of beauty and harmony, why can't our belief in peace, our commitment
to lead ethical and moral lives and our dedication to the love of
humanity serve the same function? Why does religion, instead, serve
to divide the people of our country and of the world?
Why do people kill in the name of their God?
Beliefs may, and do, vary. Buddhists seek nirvana. Hindus seek
the ways of action and of wisdom. Christians are commanded to love
one another. Our Jewish brothers and sisters embrace not just a
religion, but a way of life to guide them on a moral path. Muslims
are also seeking eternal reward through peace and ethical life.
But repeatedly throughout history, these major religions of the
world have been used as tools to turn people against one another.
Jews and Arabs kill each other over a patch of desert. Muslims kill
Muslims in Iraq because of slight differences in religious belief.
Christians and Catholics have killed each other for centuries in
Northern Ireland. Hindus and Sikhs kill each other on the Indian
sub-continent. This prostitution of religious belief to feed war and
death and destruction is a sad and heinous perversion of what we are
called to be.
Strange, isn't it, that we never see blues musicians at war with
classical musicians? Rock and roll artists never fight with jazz
players.
Music is a universe unto itself. Music is what religion is
supposed to be.

REMEMBER
by Frank P. Cotter

Remember orange sherbet served in a white paper box.
Remember family TV with Sandy Becker and Sonny Fox.
Remember wax lips and candy dots, waxy juice bottles that you bite off the
top.
Remember those mimeographed copies we loved to smell so.
Remember transferring Sunday comics with balls of Play-Dough.
Remember when playing Cowboys and Indians didn't offend.
Remember when school chums were your best friends.
Remember when it was ok to ask for a ride.
Remember when it was cool to have dad at your side.
Remember the smell of a new baseball mitt.
Remember the thrill of a new sneaker fit.
Remember making Kool-Aid as a special summer treat.
Remember running the hose over tanned, tired feet.
Remember when any grown-up could help you to cross.
Remember when every kid believed in Santa Claus.
Remember when stores were closed each Sunday all day.
Remember when parents knew just what to say.
Remember when you knew just what you would be.
Remember when a Band-Aid could cure a scrapped knee.
Remember when everyone had just one phone.
Remember when it was possible to just be alone.
Remember your bicycle with streamers and tails.
Remember when parents and nuns would not let you fail.
Remember when clean was one bath a week.
Remember when it was fun to hide, but not seek.
Remember for just one minute all the fun that we had.
Remember how safe we felt with Mother and Dad.

Second KDD: Balance and moderation with E-mail and Everything!

We live in such a fast pace society, everything needs to be done now,

Tell me how?

When, there are not enough hours in one day to complete everything?

Consequences it will bring,

Effects our health, relationships, our body and our mind,

Time we need to find,

And we don't seem to have as much of it,

We need to be able to fit,

Everything in each day

For work, and play,

Do our day job work, exercise, have time for our families, friends and for
ourselves, be alone,

Answer e-mails and our phones,

Do it all!

Simpler times, I recall.

We often Bend like a pretzel, be in a million places, have errands to run,

We can't get it all done,

There are things to do, people to see places to go,

Can't do it all, you know?

Something will suffer in the long run, usually your health; you will be
under much stress,

Balance and everything in moderation is best.

We all say this, and its much easier said and done, so easy to say,

Hard to do that, each day.

I read an e-mail that inspired this KDD,

On how to save time and clean up your mailbox, you see,

Read messages in a timely manner and do not write much in one message, so
your not feet deep,

And relationships you will keep,

And also the person's attention,

So, little is best, don't mention,

So much, in this case, less is more, this I, often do blow,

I love to write you know? Lollol

I love to compose e-mail and post to my blog

And my Journal, I frequently log,

And in my in-box have a million messages, just sitting there, in folders,
they do wait,

Well, not that many, I do exaggerate,

Yet, I do have many, over a thousand, really, it is true,

I really do.

Speaking of time, I need to go, need to run,

Have housework to get done

So, should get on my way

Not waste time, have a good day.

http://email.about.com/od/emailmanagementtips/qt/et_do_tomorrow.htm

Today's KDD: Appreciating each day!

It's Tuesday July Ten,

How are you all? How have you been?

Today, I am doing okay, just alright,

Slept better last night

Though, I feel like I got enough rest,

Don't feel my best,

My allergies are causing me problems today, have a headache and congestion,

At least I don't have an ulcer? and indigestion?

At least I am in pretty good health and able to think, use my Brain,

And today, think we will get some rain.

I am grateful for all I have, Darrell, Family, friends and a job that I
like well,

And the ability to express myself, for a story for me to tell,

Ideas that I can jot down each day and bring to you all on my blog,

And my wonderful Dougie Dog,

I have been given from the Seeing Eye, Backin 2001,

And that I can still wake up each day, with the sun,

My heart still beats, I can breathe, much I can do,

Each day is new,

Each day is a gift not knowing from one minute to the next, what will be,

For you, for me.

I had no clue, what I'd say today, and feel like crap, still have this ache
in my head,

And a part of me, wish I was still sleeping in bed,

Yet, I am still on vacation and things I want to accomplish and complete,

And relax and tolerate this heat,

Still scorching hot temperatures you know

If one stays in the Air condition and pool, you, do go,

Then, you will make it through, many more weeks to go.

My vacation is two-thirds over, nowhere I went,

Days off are spent,

Relaxing, sleeping in, reading and organizing our place, doing stuff like
this,

I admit, the beach I do miss,

Perhaps, some other time?

Making the best of it, hope your all fine?

Not sure what else to say,

Sorry, I don't have anything eventful to write about, or nothing profound to
say,

Yet, this is my life, this is my day,

Do take care and have a wonderful week, work hard but do play,

Until then my friend,

Today's Dose I send.

An Angel in Disguise

Yesterday I had wrote about the amazing and uplifting stories that I red
that morning from the Seeing Eye News Letter. Below,is one that I would
like to share with you all. Take care.

An Angel in Disguise

For those of us who work at The Seeing Eye, the days seem to fly by much too
quickly. In the busy-ness of each day, there's little time to pause and
reflect
on the miraculous events that so frequently occur around us. >From time to
time, though, something happens that suddenly stops everyone in their tracks
and makes us all realize why the work we do is so gratifying and so
life-changing.

In February, we experienced one of those moments as word spread of a dog
named Avery, who got an unexpected second chance, and of the two very
special
men who share a unique bond.

Randy George arrived that month for his first Seeing Eye dog, expecting to
be matched with a German shepherd as he had at his previous dog guide
schools.
Because he decided to keep an open mind and place his trust in those who
have matched hundreds of students and dogs before, George left the school,
not
with a German shepherd, but with a partner that surpassed all his
expectations. The first day he buckled the harness on Avery, he knew about
Avery's past
- that his previous owner was gravely ill and had selflessly requested that
his dog be matched with someone else. How could he not at least take the dog
out for one stroll, he thought. What would it hurt?

After that first walk with Avery, George knew this was the perfect match.

As George's relationship with Avery unfolded during his month at The Seeing
Eye, he began to write a letter to Avery's previous owner. No one could tell
the story better than George, and so, with his permission, we share an
edited version of his letter with you. "Sometimes," as Avery's trainer,
Instructor
Joan Markey, says, "things are just meant to be."

"All God's angels come to us disguised" - James Russell Lowell

When I came to The Seeing Eye, I fully expected to receive a wonderful dog.
After all, it is The Seeing Eye, and haven't they been putting out great
dogs
for nearly 80 years? I arrived with the expectation of going home with a
wonderful young German shepherd, one that was full of life, and ready to be
mine,
and only mine. You can imagine my initial response when my instructor asked
whether I would consider working with a German shepherd/golden retriever
cross.
I hesitated; after all, I had come for a shepherd, and shouldn't I stand my
ground? Not only that, but the dog in question had been in the field already
- for a short amount of time and with a wonderful person. My hesitation grew
even further; not only would I be getting a dog that wasn't exactly what I
wanted, but he would be a bit older than a dog fresh out of training.

And then, I was told his story . how he was placed with an amazing man, one
who took great care of him and loved him like no other. How his owner was
ill
and how his wish was for his wonderful dog to return to The Seeing Eye to be
placed with someone who could use him to his full potential. How could I not
at least take a look at this dog? I owed it to the dog, to the previous
handler, and for some reason, to myself. You see, my father had just passed
away
of the same illness as yours, so was this some sort of serendipitous event
that was supposed to happen?

I met Avery on Feb. 5, and after a trip around the leisure path, I knew I
had found my dog. He was mine instantly, from his first trepidant kisses, to
the proud way he zipped me around the path. All of my pre-conceived notions
about him disappeared. Would he be fast enough? Would he be sharp enough?
Well,
not only was he fast enough, but faster than my previous three dogs! He
looked immaculate, and his work was wonderful.

But the strangest thing occurred when I returned to my room with him. He
came and sat on the floor with me, and it was like he was speaking to me. I
felt
everything that he had been through . his joy at meeting you, and his sorrow
in losing you. His excitement to be out of the kennels again, and his
nervousness
at meeting someone new. Beyond all of this, I felt his desire to be with me,
to work for me, and to make me happy. My emotions raged that day. In a
strange,
but amazingly connected way, I felt my father reaching across from the other
side to say hello. There was no doubt, Avery was the one I had been waiting
for.

This has been a month that each and every dog guide handler should
experience, that would make every visually impaired person be a dog guide
handler if
they could experience it. His work is better than anything I have ever
known, or even heard of, in my nearly 11 years of handling dog guides. >From
the
simplest of country trips, to working him through Manhattan, he continues to
amaze me. Each time I think his work can't possibly get any better, it does.
But again, you already know that - you had the fortune to work with him as
well. Walking through Times Square a day or so ago, I could literally hear
what
he was thinking, while he was thinking it. He didn't have to tug me across
the sidewalk to avoid crowds - I already knew where he was going and what he
was trying to do, and I was right there with him. I could hear him thinking,
"Oh, can't go that way; I better try this side!" I've never cried while
working
any of my dog guides, but that day I unabashedly had tears streaming down my
face in the middle of six million other people (who my guy just so happened
to breeze me through without even brushing me against someone).

As I sit here, with him resting at my feet, anxiously awaiting another
chance to go out, the tears continue to run because I realize that I will be
fortunate
enough to experience this for the next eight years or so. He will travel to
work with me each and every day, making my daily life exponentially easier
and more complete. Most of all, he will continue to be my angel sent from
whatever power is out there, letting me know that my father is doing just
fine.

So, in this way you have become intertwined in my life. You have become
another angel in my life. You recognized how amazing and talented he is, and
you
were selfless enough to trust The Seeing Eye to match him again with someone
who would challenge and love him as you did. It is because of you that I
have
begun to fully be at peace with my father, who left me so unexpectedly.
Thank you for my freedom and my independence, thank you for the incredible
joy
that has come to my life, and for the boy who will challenge and push me to
new levels every day. Thank you for renewing my faith in mankind and in the
human/animal bond. Most of all, thank you for my guardian angel.

There is a quote I found that sums up what I've been trying to say, and I
will close with that. "Insight is better than eyesight when it comes to
seeing
an angel." From The Angels' Little Instruction Book by Eileen Elias Freeman.

Editor's Note: It was with immense sadness that we learned the recipient of
this letter lost his battle with cancer on May 3. His wife told us that
Randy
George's words brought him peace in his last weeks. The letter was read at
his funeral and was buried with him.

Today's KDD: Trying to awake and the difference one does make

Its 8 A.M on Monday July Nine,

Hope your all doing well and feeling fine?

I have been a wake for an hour or so,

Reading mail, one of which is From Seeing Eye, how, the love does grow,

So many wonderful stories,

Many fond memories,

For graduates, their pups and volunteers,

All these stories bring smiles and a couple tears,

So many positive letters,

And how each puppy, makes life better,

For those of us whom are blind, or the Puppy raisers who care for the dogs
each day,

Throughout training and play,

I am grateful to be able to read this news letter through e-mail,

Hear about exceptional stories about the four legged friends, with wet
snouts, paws and tails.

I am sitting trying to awake, getting a slow start,

Sipping coffee and glad I am not at work, assisting guests who will depart

As well as those who will stay,

I have other things planned for my day,

As you know we sorted through boxes that were sitting on our patio
yesterday, and I will do more of that today,

As well as organize the kitchen and go through old stuff that we do not use,

And later, broadcast our show, play music we did choose.

Perhaps, I will write later more today?

Post previous KDD's that were written on other days,

I am not quite awake; this first mug of coffee has not done much for me
yet,

And I will also surf the net,

That, I like to do,

Much more fun then sorting through,

Junk that has been sitting around,

But kind of cool when old stuff is found,

Especially when, it's nostalgic or has sentimental value, and it, you want
to keep,

And the rest, throw out, and the junk is not 3 feet deep.

Okay, it's now 8; 32,

Say I am going, lollol have work to do,

And so do you,

Take care and stay well, hope today is a good one,

And the KDD for another day is done.

Last KDD for Today: The Human Shredder is out, from under

It's still Sunday, the 8th of July,

We are not listening to ACB R I,

Cranking tunes on the XM Radio instead,

And so much mail I did shred,

Not with a shedder machine, that we purchased from Office Max

Rather, with my little hands, we had stacks,

Our shredder broke, months ago, a while back,

So, the job, I did attack,

Began this morning and just ended now, hours it did take,

Yet, progress I did make.

The plastic box was huge, and I got two bags full of trash

In there, the pounds do mash,

Not sure how many pounds we tossed in the dumpster today,

How much Darrell, would you say?,

He also tossed out some stuff too, so the junk is no longer not 6 feet
deep,

For years some old hardware, he did keep

An old Ethernet card and Modem, out he threw,

And it's now after 5 o'clock, so today, that is all we will do.

I am exhausted not sure why, a marathon I did not run,

Sat on my butt, tore up mail, and threw away a ton.

So, guess its mental exhaustion, perhaps?

Feel like I need a nap,

Need to gather music for tomorrow's show,

And also the pool, want to go

You all take good care of yourself,

Stay in good health,

Feel joy not sorrow,

And I will write again tomorrow.

Today's KDD: The year 1969 and Our junk

Its Sunday, July 8 TH, at 11; 26,
Listening to Kim's music Mix
Her Show, the Blast from the Past,
Three hours it does last,
This year she features hits from 1969,
How are you all? hope your fine.
She just played, the top 8 song, Buttercup,
And I am sitting here, with more coffee from the very nice mugs, having a
cup,
That Jeff, you and Keri gave to us, for our Anniversary,
When you were here, 3 weeks ago, with Darrell and me.
Not much from that year, I do recall,
For I was only 5 after all,
Had a pixy haircut, shy and not very tall.
That year, I began Kindergarten,
And, 1969, Sesame Street was on the air, that is when
As well as, 400,000 attended Woodstock and Neil Armstrong landed on the
moon,
And can't believe, its almost noon.
I remember reading my first and favorite Book, Ballerina Bess, loved Dolls
and Captain Kangaroo,
What about you?
Were you too young or not born yet?
And many years later, it took before we all met.
Kim said, that the average house cost 27,000 and average annual income,
8,000, not more,
And in the summer, spent a week in Kennebunkport Maine, not the Jersey
Shore,
Not California or Maryland,
Could not swim, due to eye surgery, but loved the sand
And at age 5, small were my hands,
And they are still today,
And some good tunes, Kim does play.
Right now, is number 3 Sugar, sugar, honey, Honey, by the Archie's,
Makes me want to dance and move my knees,
She also played Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline ",
As well from the Movie Champ, from the grapevine".

This morning shortly around 9, we did wake,
And I am taking a break,
During most of Kim's show work I did do,
Boxes on our patio I went through.
I began with our box, of very old mail, one bag I already did fill, long, it
will take,
Not much of a dent yet, I did make,
And overwhelming it does feel, a little bit,
Yet, I will not quit,
Some of it, I will go through today Darrell too,
He will help, some he will do.

Right now, he is going through a box, of old hardware old cassettes and
phones, an Ethernet card that we can not use
Today, that is what we choose,To do: rather do other things,
Like have a picnic?, play on swings?
Too bloody hot to go for a walk,
Darrell just found my Braille and Speak and Old Dec-talk,
these items, we will keep,
And our junk is 6 feet deep,
Too much we have, just like most everyone,
Yet, when we are done,
We will feel good, it will feel great,
But, so much stuff we accumulate
After days, months, and years am sure you can relate?
And Identify?,
Because, the same is true at your house, that is why?

Well, better go, get on my way,
Just wanted to tell you about my day,
And write the KDD and post to my site,
Perhaps, later today, I will write?
For now, do take care, hope great is everyone?
And that your weekend is relaxing and fun.

and some guests, work out to keep fit,& Maybe, others, stay in their
rooms
and knit?
Or watch Television,
While others, work on a project with precision,
stay in & enjoy the Fireplace,
While, some attend a Wine taste,,
& relax on vacation, here in Scottsdale
Taking a break & do not have to read Mail,
Placed the Mail on Hold,
& took a trip out here, to get away from the cold,
In hopes to get away, from freezing temperatures, 40 below,
It is chilli, here, but, little did they know
When, the Reservation was made
Perhaps, will ask for an "upgrade"
and want to stay in one of our Casita's
Or need assistance from Concierge Maybe Anita?
Some will pay a fortune,
To come to the Valley of the sun,
To get away,
Not to work but play,,
and come to Our Resort,
To play sports,
Or perhaps, avoid Court?,
Or just to have some Peace & Quiet?,
Or have their kids, participate in Camp Hyatt?

The Pool is being Rennovated, & the gift shop is closed,
& some Guests, having a massage, not just their back, but, their finger's &
toes.
Guests are having all kinds of quezine

Some Guests, wil surf the net and use Wi FI,
& The recreation staff have all kinds of activities, so the littleones
won't cry,
and Guests spending time at the Coffee Bar,Hopi learning Center and in
Regency Club,
Or just vegging in the Hot tub,
Or reading a good book,
Feelling renewed after the vacation, they took,
After, working & all the Holiday shopping,
& this Hotel is wicked slow, definitely, not hopping.

Not much going on, but, one can relax,
Unwind from work& credit cards they will max.
Yet, Bills they won't have to pay until the end of January
ON the Thirty-first,
& some Guest, stuff themselves, until they feellike their stomach will
burst.

Soon, the staff Will dress in Christmas attire,
Sing with the Children Christmas Carols by the fire,
& Santa will hand out gifts, does not matter, where they Live,
He has much to give,
& the Hyatt employees do sacrifice, work & be Elves,
Doing things for Guests, not their Family friends or themselves.
They, like me, have to work the Holiday ,
Spending time away,
>From their Family and Friends,
Spending time here instead,
Unlike most, who fled,
On vacation Or work they do not,
They can appreciate their time together,
and enjoy this weather
and Moments, they will share
and cherish ,
& hopefully get all that they wish,
More then,just Material Things,
Or in the Christmas Carols, that one hear other's sing.

Do Hope our Guest will return, Again will stay,
Not decide, to go, to Denver, Texas or somewhere else, now until May,
Business is booming after the Holiday,
& Hope your all having a good day?.
This is the third KDD, you will receive, in your box,
and Darrel,I understand your decision, to cancel Cox,

At the Hotel,

I know I am a piece of work, really something,
& this is the last KDD for today,I bring.

.

KDD: The Day after the Employee Christmas Party 12.19.06 8;30 a.m

I am sitting here, yawning, & find it hard to think,
Not enough sleep & only one glass of white wine, I did drink,
A Nap and more coffee I do need,
and on my way into work, more of the Novel, I did read,
Here, at the Hyatt,
Its very quiet,
Before 6, I did arrive,
and woke up on time, before Five,
A second cup of coffee, I do consume
& the Party last night, was in the Arizona Ballroom.,.
The Food last night, was beyond one's Imagination,
They had all kinds of serving stations,
An Assortment, anything you can think of,
Some foods, that you would dislike and some you would love.

It was a buffet , and exceptional Service we did receive,
and around 9, we did leave,
The Party began at 6,
they definitely played a music mix,
The music spanned at least 4 decades or more,
Darrell, Dougie and I spent some time on the dance floor.
When, we checked-in at the door, A few said, did I put on my Dancing
shoes,
Will I cut a rug? & Joking, Said, watch the boozze,
Many, did recall, that Last year,I was footloose and Fancy free,
& were so very happy for Darrell and me.

They had soup, Seafood, and dumplings,
and all kinds of Salad's green,
They had American,Italian, Aisian & mexican,
and many trips, the server's Ran.
Our Server's Renee and Linda Served us well,
Not sure, how long, they have been working here at the hotel?.
Renee I know a little, sometimes, she does call,
But, Linda, I did not know at all,
I think she is a new Employee,
Linda Assisted Darrell, & Renee me.

We both got Pasta, Prime Rib and garlic bread,
Everyone, well, they, got fed,
Darrell, had soup, Onion,
& I a Salad, Cezar, not a ton,
They had all kinds of pasta & mashed potatoes,
& several tables set nicely in rows.
Nice dishes & silverware,
Table cloths, candles, and napkin sets, all set with care.

They did not have Turkey or Ham,
They had Chicken with cashews and Lamb.
They had all kinds of seafood , and beverages, Soda, coffee and wine,
and we were one of the first in line.

Many were Fashionably late,
& the music was not great,
It was sparse, not many, did show,Perhaps, they had a long day?,
Took an hour for things, to really get underway
For the Festivities to begin,
and a raffle prize, I did win.
We danced some,
& I did not have any drinks with rum,
They had Chocolate cake,
& no trips to the bathroom we did make.

They also had fruit Pasteries and a chocolate Fountain ,
& we left long before ten,,
We had dessert things, like strawberries and rice crispy squares to dip,
& we had, decalf coffee, where, we slowly did sip

After, everyone was done,
They, handed out awards for one's dedicated service, that many had won.
Employees, who been here for 2,5,10,15,20 and 25 years, Long,
Recognized, they did not break into song
They just stood, when announced was their name and department,
An hour early home we went.

At the Beginning of the Awards Portion of the Banquet, Our Hotel General
Manager, Gave the Anual, Financial Report,
and All employees were good sports
Happy for their Colleagues and friends,
they gave us a Summary of our Expenditures
& what Rennovations,in the future, will occur,
mentioned the outstanding service we provide to our Guests,
& that there is always room for improvement, That, we have not done our
best!

Yet, they are proud of us all,
& most, had a ball.

The manager of the Year was Rual from the Laundry department,
He began
in Housekeepping as a HouseMen,
& the employee of the Year was Sam from Food & Beverege, Not ben.

Throughout the night, they gave out the raffle prizes and Christmas
music
they did play,
& my prize, was two Hyatt Nights for two near the San Francisco Bay,
Remember, I said, I never been,in my KDD, the other day? lol
Hyatt San Francisco Airport Hotel,
I like that Prize well,
Most of the Prizes were Hyatt Night's to other places,
Not to the Horse Races,
& gift certificates to Movies and restaurants & a dVD player, one did,
one,
Darrell, thought getting the DVD Player, would be fun,
Yet, probably inaccessible, it would be,
&, would be nice,if we could get Hyatt night's anywhere, wouldn't you
agree?
I still think receiving a two night's stay for two, to San Francisco is
very cool,
and I was not really a dancing fool,
Yet, today, people are asking me if we had a good time, & said we looked
like we were having fun, from what they could tell,
& I replied, nah,not really, wait, when, you see me dance to music I like
really well. (: lollol

Well, its an hour past my shift,& I should go,
Jeff, How was the show?
After, I am sure, you were exhausted ,?
& we took home dial at 9;15 when got home got to bed.
Glad, the Party, we did Attend,
& Hope you all have a fantastic day, friend,
and Tina, I know Tomorrow, for Missouri, your leaving,
& This KDD, you will soon be receiving,
tonight, Tina, we will give you a call,
and Jeff, well, hope all,
?, all are alright?,
& you too, we will talk tonight?
Meanwhile write if you like, before tonight?
Take care & whatever you do today
Have a great day.

KDD: No Electricity in the Pacific Northwest and day of Christmas party 12.18.06 2;03 pm

A Typical day was spent at work Yesterday,
and Last year's Christmas show on Mainstream did play,
It was not Mrs. Claus and Santa being Jolly,
and they did not play show Tunes From Hello Dolly,
or DollyParton,
Two hours,it did run.

Marlaina & Garry were exhausted,
There power went out, & they needed food & awarm bed,
Electricity was lost, in the Pacific Northwest,
and so after, that Ordeal, they needed their rest.

They stayed at the Lion's Den Inn, where,it was SoldOut,
Long took the rout,
Once, they did arrive, things were fine,
They went to a restaurant and pub to dine,
They had Turkey with Gravy & a Martini, not wine. (:
Hopefully, good service they got,
& that the dinner was Piping hot!

Jeff, was not his chipper Self,
Found it difficult to be Santa, not an Elf,
He too, sleep was deprived,
Felt like a zombie, half alive,
Many hours, spent He and ray,
Was up for 18 hours on Friday,
& Longer the day before,
Felt, he just had been through a war,
and his nervs were shot to the core.

However, he was a real trooper and we all helped him pass the time by,
On ACB R I,
Listening to Christmas Music, that he did select
As well as the Christmas Drama's not the one from Friends in Teck!

We sent him I.M's to make requests,
But, also, to make sure, he was awake, not falling asleep, and getting some
rest,
Since, much time was spent night and day,
They had no ice in the ice tray,
So, to have it,for their soda pop, soft drink,
To enable, him and ray, to work, and think,
To install software,
Efficiently & with care,
To move files from one drive that they use separately and ones that they
share,
&, much time was spent,
on the new system, Keri's Present,
That, she loves from what I do hear,
From what Darrell does say,
So, it was worth the sleepless night's,
Has more memory and bytes,
and the Kids Computer she will not have to Borrow,
& we wil see you Guys , two days from tomorrow,
She can write E-mail,workon the bulletin or the Budget,
Or surf the net,
Sshe,is all set!
She can work on the checkbook, faster, number's will crunch,
Can do this after work and before lunch,
In between Crossing Guard shifts,
Do whatever, order Christmas gifts?
Everyone is done with that, not until next year, a long time away,
& hope your all having a good day?

so, we, the listener's do understand,
Exhaustion, they all did feel,
Not a big deal.
We do understand,
Last night,We watched Santa Claus Two on ABC,not Tv Land,
Not on Disney,
& Jeff, glad you and brian had a good time, at theGame ,& ticket's were
free.

After, the Movie, my book, I continued to read,
When, sleep, was, what I really did need,
It is called " False Memory",
& I was up until around 11,not 3.

We did oversleep, woke up at 5,
At the time ,Dial did arrive,
Dougie barked & I stumbled to the door in PJ's,,
& in a daize,
and Opened the door a crack,
& said, can you, come back?,
I overslept & not ready to go,
Can someone come a little later,do you know?
The driver did not , know, told me to call,
& a ride with them, did not work after all.
We did not rant and rave,
money, we did want to save,
Yet, dial couldn't get me until 7;30 & to work until after 8,
So, A cab, I took, did not want to be late!
So, money, out of my pocket, I did dish,
Woke up on time, I did wish,
It was our own darn fault happens to every one,
I hate,, to have to eat and run,
Like to lie in bed & slowly do rise
Lie in bed for 20 minutes or so, yes, Indeed ee,
Like to lie & shnuggle with my sweetty!

My day, did not get off to a good start,
Fast, did beat,my heart
and quickly out of the bed, I flew,,
I flown,
As we, both, got irritated & did groan, !
Not a good way, to begin your day,
Definitely a manic Monday !
However, it is improving as the hours, do pass,
& at the party tonight, wine I will have, just one glass,

The party it will be fun, I think,
and not much alcohol I will drink,
My limit is two,
If, I drink more, I am through,
I don't want to make a fool of myself, stumble &not be able to walk,
& not hear, the next day, people talk,
I do not want to slur my speech,
The walls do reach,
and they talk
and some do Gossip,
so, slowly, I will sip,
& eat, I will,
Nothing, with dill
Chilli's orOnions,
I am sure,it will be fun!

Not only, Christmas they will celebrate on Property,
But, employees, who have been here for 2, 5,10,15 years, you see,
A good time will be had by all
Including Darrell & I,
While, Jeff, you will play, the Tunes, again, on ACB R I
you will cover for us and Jim as well,
& here we will still be at the Hotel,
getting home around 10;30 or 11 the latest ,
We will definitely, will need our rest.

Our Christmas shopping is finally complete, That, makes me very happy,
So, I won't be getting snappy,
I am more focused & more, can think clear,
Packages on the way, for friends & Family, who are so dear,
& a gift card, will be on the present ,
so, they know, who, sent,
& who to con tact,
If, they decide to send the gifts back?
No, That is not really true,
Just in case, they need to reach the person, give a thank you!

Tina, we have not spoken to you in awhile,
You have not made a sound,
& we know, Wednesday, you will take Grayhound,
and will be traveling to Missouri to spend time with your Mom,& celebrate
the Holiday,
& we will call you tomorrow night, not today,
Is all, alright?,
You have not called or write?
Hope your okay?
Having a good day?
and jeff, will talk in about an hour,
not from the Shower,
Here, at the Hyatt Hotel,
Not from the Bell,
Or in the Hall,
Out from the loading dock, I will call,

KDD: Time, I do Pause, and Santa Claus 12.04.06 12;06 pm

I am Sitting here, with a blank slate,
This KDD, is very late,
I am three days behind,
Time, I could not find,
Between work and Christmas Shopping,
no time for stopping,
Until, all packages are loaded on Santa's Sleigh,
Helping him,more today.

I am one of the Busiest Mice, around,
Many, wonderful things I have found,
Hard to select,
For my Family and Friends, including you techs.

There, is more to you all, then, meets the eye,
I know, you all well, so, gifts its easy too buy.
Except, for a couple that are hard to shop for,
& have everything, or do notlike anything you get,
I am sure you have some on your list, want to take a bet? (lol
For those People, we just send Gift certificates and it is taking
care of,
& for the rest, I love,
I sort through, Millions, of items,on our favorite shopping web sites,
& find the ones, that are, just right,
to suit each person's needs and interests,
to finally, choose the ones that are best.

I try to make them personalized & add a special touch,
Like shopping for others, very much,
Especially , during the Holiday Season,
Not just for any old reason,
& certainly, not for myself,
Yet, I love being a little Elf,
& especially, shopping for the children,
not as much, for the Women & Men.

The Holiday Season is underway,
We had the Kids Christmas party yesterday,
>From 11 am to 3 ,
Had lots of good music & a decorated Christmas tree.
Many Hyatt Associates & their Families, did attend,
warm Wishes, Santa & Mrs. Claus did send.

All the Children, Their pictures, with Santa, they did take,
&, Recreation, also, had someone, painting faces, they did make,
& scrumptious cookies & baked goods, they did bake.

The gift shopping, I am taking a break,
I am kind of stuck,
& have racked up many bucks,
Just as , you all,
By either shopping online or going to the mall.

Last Night Marlaina's show was excellent,
Gave me some more ideas, on how the money, could be spent,
& she had a number of great Vender's on the show,
Which, was 3 hours long,,, 6 to 9, ,1 to 4, UTC,
On ACB,
The sites, you can put in your favorites, can log,
ILA & speak to me Catalog,
Herbal Life, & Triumphonic ,
&, Freedom Box & the Christmas Cabin, spoke of their products,, that are
on display,
&, ones that are on Sale,
& discounted or free shipping by mail.

So, hurry, buy soon, or by December 19,
Spend, your green,
& enjoy yourself,
be one of Santa's Elves.
Some of you, are steps ahead,
Have completed your list, on the ball,
Have you decorated those halls?,
& trimmed those trees?
There,is still music to play,
Like, listen, to our show, later today,
From 3 to 6,
We will have a mix,
Yet, Christmas music, That will be All,
& at the beginning of the show, I will call.

We have a New Assistant Manager, her name is Dotti, & is from
downtown, ,
The Hyatt Phoenix, on 2 nd street,
Today,She & I, did meet,
& she seems very nice, & Dougie met her too
He is out of harness,
& acts like, he is the king,of the office,
& is an honorary employee,
Of the Hyatt Scottsdale,
Flirts, and wags, his tail,
Think, he would be great, as a Security Guard, Door man, or front Desk
Agent,
Yet, here, in Housekeepping, his time,is spent.

He would also like Camp Hyatt, The Spa,or the Pool,
Strutting his stuff, acting, real cool.
Well, its now, 11; 48,
Getting late,
More shopping to do,
I am not at all through,
Have my Family,You all , Darrell, Tina & Dougie. (:
So, I better, end this here,
Yet, I had to send you a KDD, my friends, so Dear,
This,is not good at all, & work it did take,
And I have a headache.
How are you?
How is your day?
Listen, to the show, at 3, it will play,
Hope, you have a great day.
Take care & have a good one,
More, work, to be done,
Not much, Occupancy is low, about 40 %,
& A KDD, I finally have sent,
Talk later tonight,
Talk then, or before , write?
Whatever, bakes your cake, or floats, your boat,
Talk on the phone,or write a note.
Talk later.!! ..

Today's KDd: ACB Convention coverage Complete and Jeff's show

It's almost 11 am on Saturday,

How are you all? How is your day?

We only have been up for an hour or so,

And right now, listening to the xm radio

Its cutting out, the reception bad, poor quality,

And, now, the convention is over for ACB,

One can listen on demand,

And Thanks to Jeff and Darrell, for giving a hand,

And doing all of this,

For those of us, who did miss,

And could not be there,

If, it was not for their technical Expertise, they could not share,

The convention coverage with all of us,

It does take time, yet, some, still put up a fuss,

And as they say, "Patience is a virtue my friend"

They have day jobs and other stuff going on, so, time, it takes to send,

Editing to do, just can't be like Samantha and twinkle their nose,

Just like, it takes some time, for these KDd's for me, to compose.

The difference, this is not technical at all, is subjective, not much it
does require

The other, they are under time constraints, under the wire,

Need to use Sound forge or gold wave,

Be precise, then, upload and save.

So, Darrell and Jeff, thanks for a job well done,

And those of you, who attended Convention, hope you all had fun?

Most of you, a vacation you do need? get some rest,

And the year 2010, will be here in the West,

Here in Arizona, in our State,

Isn't that great?

Congratulations to our New President, to Marlaina and the Rest of the
board,

Since, it will be in Phoenix, Time, I will be able to take, and it, we will
be able to afford.

WE would like to become involved with ACB, See, what we can do,

Possibly, be on a committee too?

Of course, one needs experience, but how do you do this, if not given a
chance? we all know this is true,

Sometimes, we need to just take someone on face value,

This is the case,in the Job Market,

People, their feet, they need to get wet,

Yet, qualifications and skills, one does need,

Accomplish much, be productive, and take the lead.

However, there is something we all can do, and should participate,

With our Affiliate, in our own state.

Last night, after a couple weeks, Jeff, did his show,

As always it was fun, well, it did go,

We like his show, the desert skies,

And around 8; 30, this morning, I did rise.

Not only music, he did play,

But, a few of us, on skype we did chat, much, we did say,

And, at the end, after the show, some of us did choose,

To stay online, and wound up talking about Kangaroos,

Energizer bunnies,

Not the wind, but rain, that kind of weather,

Tina, Jeff, Darrell and I had fun chatting together,

Mentioned pie,

We all had one another laughing so hard, thought I'd cry.

And how as a kid, we like to hippity hop

And finally, around 10; 30, the conversation, did stop,

And we called it a night, our separate ways, we went

And time, together, Darrell and I spent.

Its now, 12; 03,

And Safeway, the groceries came, they made their delivery

We received everything we ordered online,

And since Darrell adjusted the Antenna the XM Radio is now, working fine,

And since, I don't have much else to say,

Going to go, okay?

On vacation, I want to read another Dean Koontz book, "Dark Rivers of the
Heart,

And later, will listen to Desiree, play songs from the 80's charts,

Not going to toss darts,

No one I will lynch or roast,

But, I am going to try and post,

More old KDd's to my site,

Before tonight,

And it may seem strange, you know,

To post KDD's from December, how, it was cold enough to snow,

And the Employee Party we did attend,

And how we got together with a friend

Stuff like that, you now can read here,

Come on all, don't you want to have Holiday Cheer

Beat the rush and shop? before the Holiday season?

Does their need to be a reason?

To post KDd's from any day? anytime?

That should be fine,

Doing it anyway, alright?

After all, it's my blog, my site.

Do take care and stay well, have a great weekend,

And stay well friend.

Today's KDD: Last Day of ACB Convention and other things I do mention

It's around 10 on Friday July 6,

And tonight, we will listen to you Jeff; bringing us all a wonderful mix,

It will not be Darrell and I,

That will be on the Air on ACB R I,

On the Desert Skies, at 7 o'clock,

It will be you Jeff, the tunes will rock,

And you will bring us techie news?

And an Impossible Question, if that, you choose?

Two weeks, you have been away,

You have been missed, we are glad your back today,

I am sitting here, having Mc Donald's coffee with much cream,

Listening to Mainstream,

Chrissie just finished interviewing the new president,

How fast, the time went,

His Name is Mitch his last Name I did not catch,

Hope he's the right match?

He seems very articulate much he will give,

Spoke about the Initiatives,

Mentioned recruiting folks on National Committees,

What he sees,

For the organization, busy will be his life,

Standing by him, is Donna, his wife.

The Convention is over today, and the Banquet is from 5 to 8,

And here in 2010, will be here in our Home state,

Arizona, Valley of the sun.

That one,

Jeff, Darrell and I, should not miss, it will be fun.

Guess, 150 listeners to mainstream today,

From What Chrissie, did say,

That is very good indeed,

Yet, united, what we need to be.

I think, so much more could be accomplished if both organizations would
unite as one,

So much more, would get done,

It could be called the NCB, the National Council for the Blind, what do you
say?

Unfortunately, don't think, there will be a day,

When, the NFB and ACB will take a stand,

Become one organization work together, across our Land,

They, say, forging new Frontiers for the future? Why not boldly go
where no man has gone before?

Open new doors?

Provide new Opportunities

Improve the lives of the blind, for all?

Is this order too tall?

And too unrealistic?

Isn't it "our Business"?

To do more, not less?

Not just to listen to improve quality of life, forus to achieve

What do you believe?

What do you think? This I do ask,

Is, this too much of a task?

I wish, I could find an event something to replace this day, those bad
memories, I had long ago,

You know?

On this day, in 85, lost my site, for the first time, that day, wish I can
forget it erase

Something else, would like to replace

Those memories unpleasant,

Other messages to my brain, wish could be sent,

Other thoughts, could play?

Oh, well, will get through the day,

How about you?

How are things? How are you?

Take care, alright?

Talk later tonight?

Today's KDD: In Search of my Roots?

As you can see, I wrote this KDD much earlier in the day. I was not sure
whether to post it. I know its not one of my best. Of course, I know, they
all can't be " the Best", that they all can't be good. I still do try and
send you all the " Best", the ones I think you all would like the " most".
Well, not sure what else to say, so have a good night.

It's around 10 on the Five Th of July,

And I am again, listening to ACB R I,

The convention is almost over; it will end on Saturday,

How are you all? How is your day?

I slept okay, last night, but not the best thoughts ran through my mind,

For some reason, thoughts of family The Blanchards, crossed my mind,

Family I have never met, and don't know at all my Mom's Family, is in
Michigan somewhere,

For some reason I care,

I have always wondered about them, what are they like? are any of them like
me?

Do any look like me or have similar traits, a sense of humor, or the way I
behave

Will I ever meet them, before I die, am in my grave??

For years I have wondered, and Mom does not talk about them much,

Not really, has lost touch,

And went her separate way,

One day,

When she was in her early Twenties, moved to New York, from Michigan,

Her new life began,

Began working as a Stewardess for Eastern Airlines and happen to live in
the same apartment complex as dad

Left her Family behind, she had,

Both her parents had passed away,

Had nothing in common anymore with her Brother, Sisters and other family
members, so she did say.

Despite this fact, I think you should stay in touch, at least once in
awhile,

No matter if you have nothing in common, whatever your style,

No matter, how you live, how one spends their life,

Whether, you don't like, their husband or wife,

They are family after all,

I may considering searching for them, writing? giving them a call?

I'd like to know my Mom's Siblings especially, Walt, Bernadette and
Margaret,

Can not believe, noone, on her side, My Sisters or I ever met,

Maybe, someday, this will change? You know?

Maybe, someday, to Michigan I will go?

So, those were the subconscious thoughts, that I had last night,

Very weird, now, here, they I write.

Its now, almost one,

And I left for an hour or so, some errands I had to run,

Soon After the Kdd I started, I went out into the heat

Now, I am back home and I am beat.

I first went to the doctor 2.5 pounds I lost,

Then, picked up some groceries, not much they cost

Not much I bought,

It's too bloody hot,

I did not want to be out and about, when its 114 degrees,

Bought no cheese.

Now, I am here writing you all later today another book I will read don't
know what exactly,

And here, is today's Kdd,

Do take care and stay well, stay cool, Hope all are alright?

Probably, more I will write,

Talk later today, tonight.

KDD: Sentimental Fool 10.04.06 11;53 a.m

A KDD you are waiting to appear,
& in your In-box land,
Yet, don't have creativity today,understand?,

The thoughts just can not be found,
Maybe, they are burried in ashes or in the leaves in the ground?
Maybe, they vanished in thin air?,
Doesn't mean, that I don't care!
Perhaps, they vanished into the sky,
Or lying on the Beech,
My creative thoughts,just can't reach.
They drifted out to sea,
So, that is why, I sent the other messages, you see.

I knew that, when I woke today,
That somehow, they are suppressed,
So, thought sending the Net Hug messages, would be best?
For, If I couldn't create,
Something, of my own,
I can still let my thoughts & feelings be known,
& so much better, be said,
Then, the thoughts, in my head!
With much more ease and more eloquent,
Then, anything, I will ever sent
I am a sentimental Fool, some may say,
Yet, hope all these messages, brightened your day?,
& diminish stress your worries for the day?

That, these words, can help just enough,
When, times are tough,
When, your in debt,
Or can't access the net,
Or overloaded with work,
Have a huge pile,
Or can't find a file.

I will walk that mile,
On your side,
When, your computer has died,
Or your Boss has gotten on your case,
Or you lost a message,That went into cyberspace!

if Children do not do what they are told,
Or you feel miserable, have a cold,
Or have the flu,
Feeling hopeless, don't know what to do,
When, you have a fever & Chills,
Tired of popping Pills,
struggling to pay the Bills,
When, you can't sleep,
No matter how much you try,
Or if you feel like your going to cry
& noone seems kind,
or you can't seem to unwind,
& relax,
or send a Fax,
Feeling beat,
Too many E-mails, most need to delete,
Place the ones you want to keep,in a folder,
Burdens, try not to shoulder,
Take on what you can handle,
Remember, I, will light the candle,
it will burn bright,
,When, your in darkness, alright?
Don't always, believe, what you have red,
& don't be angry when you go to bed.

Certain, Net Hugs messages, I did chose,
I am Much too sentimental, I suppose?,
& perhaps, I should not speak my mind,
& my feelings in my heart, should not be on display,
or not write about not being here tomorrow,
Yet, Just live for today!
I don't want you to feel sad & feel sorrow,
Rather, happiness,
& to feel blessed,
To have gratitude for everything,
That Life Brings,
& to appreciate,
& know, that the bad times will pass,
The good times will last,
& the days, go way too fast!
& alone, you are not,
& each day lessons to be taught,
Things to learn,
Money to earn,
Stranger's to helpon the street,
New Friends, to meet,

That,just a smile,
Will last a while,
Go a long way,
work hard,
But, also do play.
That when you talk on the phone,
Your smile can be heard,
Don't always have to say a word,
Sometimes, its much better,
To listen then talk,
To empathize & support,
To love & comfort,
To give a helping hand,
When needed,
I have given to much advice,
& too sentimental,in this message, you do receive,
too much, I did say ?
Hope, I did not ruin your day?

So, I think, I will go,
Before, this is any longer, you know?
Three pages I wrote,
Was supposed to be a little note,
Not sure, why, I am in this frame of mind, this state?
Sorry, this is late.!
Do take care,
& if these messages don't make you smile,
delete the file,
In the trash, okay?
Yet, do hope this & the other's,
Make your day?. (:

Humorous Nethugs Message 10.04.06 9;15 a.m

I think you will appreciate this as much as I did. Eight was a great year
for me, one of my best. After several years of being on the patterning
program I finally was able to begin being a " real Kid". It was that year,
at age 8, I learned to swim, ride a bike and began to write hand-written
letters to my Grandparent's and friends. it was then, my love for writing
began. Take care.
Helpful Tips
(to Make Life Simpler)

Old telephone books make ideal personal address books. Simply cross out the
names and addresses of people you don't know.

Fool other drivers into thinking you have an expensive car phone by holding
an old TV or video remote control up to your ear and occasionally swerving
across
the road and mounting the curb.

Lose weight quickly by eating raw pork and rancid tuna. I found that the
subsequent food poisoning enabled me to lose 12 pounds in only 2 days.

Avoid parking tickets by leaving your windshield wipers turned to fast wipe
whenever you leave your car parked illegally.

No time for a bath? Wrap yourself in masking tape and remove the dirt by
simply peeling it off.

Apply red nail polish to your nails before clipping them. The red nails will
be much easier to spot on your bathroom carpet. (Unless you have a red
carpet,
in which case a contrasting polish should be selected).

If a person is choking on an ice cube, don't panic. Simply pour a jug of
boiling water down their throat and presto! The blockage is almost instantly
removed.

Save on booze by drinking cold tea instead of whiskey. The following morning
you can create the effects of hangover by drinking a thimble full of dish
washing
liquid and banging your head repeatedly on the wall.

Color coordinate your pet with your furniture & carpets. That way, the hair
won't show if you don't regularly sweep it up.

My Resignation

I am hereby officially tendering

my resignation as an adult. I have

decided I would like to accept the

responsibilities of an 8 year-old again.

I want to go to McDonald's and think

that it's a four star restaurant.

I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud

puddle and make a sidewalk with rocks.

I want to think M&Ms are better than

money because you can eat them.

I want to lie under a big oak tree and

run a lemonade stand with my friends on

a hot summer's day.

I want to return to a time when life was

simple; When all you knew were colors,

multiplication tables, and nursery

rhymes, but that didn't bother you,

because you didn't know what you

didn't know and you didn't care.

All you knew was to be happy because you were
blissfully unaware

of all the things that should make you worried or
upset.

I want to think the world is fair.

That everyone is honest and good.

I want to believe that anything is

possible. I want to be oblivious

to the complexities of life and be

overly excited by the little things

again.

I want to live simple again. I

don't want my day to consist of

computer crashes, mountains of paperwork,

depressing news, how to survive more days

in the month than there is money in the

bank, doctor bills, gossip, illness,

and loss of loved ones.

I want to believe in the power of

smiles, hugs, a kind word, truth,

justice, peace, dreams, the imagination,

mankind, and making angels in the snow.

So . . . here's my checkbook

and my car-keys, my credit card bills

and my 401K statements.

I am officially

resigning from adulthood.

And if you want to discuss this

further, you'll have to catch me

first, cause........

......"Tag! You're it."

Pass this to someone and brighten

their day by helping them remember

the Simple things in Life.

KDD: Who will discover my work? 09.08.06 4;32

This particular KDD was created last September. I n ever knew, that
anyone else besides, Darrell,Jeff and Tina would see my work. It did occur
to me, that when I passed away, that my Family would unexpectedly find my
KDD's and Journal. Still today, they are not even aware of my blog. I
think I have no talent and find it difficult to reveal myself to others.
Sometimes, those closests to us,judge the most. Now, I am here and have been
posting KDD's to my site for almost 3 months. Not sure exactly where to go
from here, what to do next, with these KDD's? I'd like to make this more
then just a hobby... Take care.

All the KDD's I write,
I should put in a folder,
So, I can review,
When, I am much older,
Reflect, what I have done today,
What I wrote,
What I did say.

My Journal Entry's,
Should also be saved,
Before, I have one foot in the grave,
Before, I die,
Before, I can say goodbye,
I should leave,
Behind,
The thoughts,& feelings in my mind,
For others, to be able to find,
These pages, this mega book,
To take a look,
On my life,
What I was like before,
Becoming Darrell's Wife,
What made me cry,
Brought me laughter ,
& Joy & sorrow,
What were my dreams of tomorrow,
Or more like Yesteryear,
How I felt about those,I held dear,
Or strangers on the street,
Anyone, I would like to meet ,
My Views,
Or interesting Trivia or news.
Right now, you three ,
Are the only ones, I trust,
With anything at all
That I will disclose,
What I think,
FeelOr believe,
The only ones, who do receive,
KDD's from me each day,
Each week,
The only ones, who can take a peek.

Yes, I suppose,
It would not matter,
If anyone else, took a look,
Read , my documents,
Or any books,
I may eventually, may write?,
It may be alright?

They can not make me feel bad,
Get mad,
Or be critical of each piece,
I create,Can't tell me,
What they like,
What they hate,
Whether, I was right ,
Or wrong,
Or about anything at all,
Can't call,
Or connect,
With me,
I will be in heaven, you see!

It may be a good thing,
For the Niece's or Nephew ,
To be able to understand,
What Aunt Karen,
Was like as A Kid?,
What kind of work she did?,
How she coped with her blindness?,
What gave her Hope?,
& made her strong?,
What were her, favorite songs?

It would be nice,
To know my Mom's Family,
Don't know any of them,You see!

I would like to know the Blanchards,
Pronounced Blanch Ard,
Dating back to 16 th Century France,
Would like to have a chance,
To know, who they are,
To establish a connection,
& se Who I am like,
& who I am not!
What we have in common, if any,
What personality traits,, maybe Many?

I have searched on classmates.com,
& the White Pages too,
Yet,one has to pay,
That is why,
I have not reached, them,
Maybe, some day.!
Maybe, I will gather,
All my writing & put something, together,
On disk,
& book of leather?

Don't know,
What made me,write this,
Maybe, Family,
I do miss?
Who knows what makes me,
Write such things,
Interesting , stuff, I sometimes, bring.

Its now, 3;56,
Jeff, looking forward to your music mix,
On ACB R I,
Which, I too, will be able to listen,
While, I work away,
Will be able to here, the music play,
& D.J's Broadcast,
Not just listen, to Podcast!
Yet, Winamp still needs to be,
Installed, on my system,
Before, I can listen to the Music,
The link,
Whitestick,
Did not go,
What,is wrong withit,I don't know!

Its not my magnetic field,
So, don't say, that
What is wrong?
Help me,
So, I can play our favorite songs!

This, will have to wait,
Till another day,
Until winamp can play,
Until Mike,
Can install,
& get me set,
So, I can listen to you ,on the net.!

Its 4;08,
Getting late,
Need to take Dougie to Park,
Sleeping, not playing,
Much today,
,The weekend, will begin soon,in one hour,
& I will be on my way
& here, is another message, for the day! (:,

Don't Ever, Never Forget!

Here,is another Nethugs Message I found and I wanted to post it for you all.
Do take care and Happy 4 th of July,Independence Day.

Don't Ever Never Don't Ever Never Forget

Your presence is a gift to the world,
You're unique and one of a kind.
Your life can be what you want it to be -
Take it one day at a time.

Count your blessings, not your troubles,
And you'll make it through what comes along.
Within you are so many answers,
Understand, have courage, be strong.

Don't put limits on yourself,
Your dreams are waiting to be realized.
Don't leave your important decisions to chance -
Reach for your peak, your goal, and your prize.

Nothing wastes more energy than worrying -
The longer a problem is carried, the heavier it gets.
Don't take things too seriously -
Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets.

Remember that a little love goes a long way -
Remember that a lot goes forever.
Remember that friendship is a wise investment,
Life's treasures are people... together.

Have health and hope and happiness,
Take the time to wish on a star.
And don't ever forget for even a day...
How very special YOU are!

KDD: Independence Day Celebration with the Bishops 07.03.06 12;13 pm

As you can see, this was written a year ago yesterday. Jeff, Keri and
the kids came down for the 4 th of July weekend to celebrate the
Holiday and hang out. We all will probably get together either this coming
weekend or next again and have a pool party. Here is a KDD summarizing our
weekend together.

We first woke at 7; 15,
Heard a tone,
It was my work cell phone.

Then, we went back to bed,
Both of us were sleepy heads.
We do not feel well at all,
Though we had a ball!
, we had a great time with the Bishop Family
We are glad to have some time together,
Just Darrell and me. (:

On this day,
Darrell & I became Husband & Wife
You know?
Though, in our hearts,
We have been married for 7 years,
It finally became legal on the 3 rd of June.
It has been filled with both tears and with Laughter
& Know, we will be Married Happily ever after. (:

Today, we are not going to soak up any more sun,
Had way too much fun,
When, the Bishops were here this weekend,
After I send This Kdd,
Going to get on my way!,
& relax for the day.

We will do nothing today,
We are going to be lazy bums,
What can, we say?
We are in pain and it hurts to move,
I need to relax,
So, I can get into the groove,
Since, we both work tomorrow,
We are not feeling sorrow,
Happy we feel,
Just need my body to heel.

WE both need to rest,
That, is really best.

Enough of a work out we did receive,
& did nothing, after you all did leave.

You won't see us at the gym today,
I hurt too much,
Yet, want to keep in touch.

WE all spent way too much time,
At the pool,
Grilled some burgers & dogs,It was cool.

Games we did play,
Fun time, was had.
WE swam,
Played Marco Polo,
& had somersault contests,
Jeff may be the best,
In our group,But, probably not out west,
Or anywhere, on the Coast,
Yet, all of us,
He especially did roast! (:

He says
, he is the king of somersaults,
& of the pool,
But, I am the dancing Queen,
& a dancing fool!

He can do more flips Then, those of us there,
With grace & flair.

However, I can dance &, boogie,
Alright,
Dance all night.

Delicious food we did eat,
Now, I want to stay out of the heat,
Off my feet.

Several times
Jeff flipped me,
& times , I got free,
Pulled away,
I am a pretty good swimmer,What, can I say.!

He's more of a fish then I,
& Jeff, you're still going to die.!
& Jeff, no you're not a pain,
&, you're not going to sink,
& drown, sliding down the drain. lol

Yet, you better, not keep,
Your guard down,
Because, when, we arrive into town,
& arrive nextDon't know when that will be,
Just be ready, for me!

You have so far won,
Yet, we are not done,
You may be ahead,
But, you will be dead.
You say, you're shaking in your boots,
& it's a hoot?
This is not my best work,
& Just kidding, you're not a jerk.
You & Darrell, just got out of hand,
Were a little too rough,
Understand?

Its 11;24,
Thanks Keri for going to the store.
You all are the best,
& now, I am going to get my rest.

A Wounded soldier, I do feel,
Yet, it is not a big deal.
I can handle,What you Guys,Toss my way,
& you all have a wonderful day.

& have a terrific 4 th,

Whatever you all do

Be Safe , & have fun,

& this KDD is done (:

Today's KDd: America's Birthday Celebration and ACB's Presentations

Its Wednesday July 4 th at 9; 42,

How are you?

On this Independence Day?

America's 231 st Birthday?

I am like Tom Clancy, Don't get a Headache if I don't write, but, my
thoughts, I do need to convey,

Every day,

If the creativity is flowing, I need to write,

Can't Always wait, until late at night.

We are listening to the ACB Convention Coverage on Mainstream and enjoying
it very much, Presentations today, are great

And on this Holiday, we are not going to Celebrate,

The Traditional way,

With picnics and viewing a Fireworks display, not at all,

Though, will appreciate our Freedom, life, liberty and pursuit of happiness
for all,

Relax, and get some rest Friends, we may call?

Will view convention and housework to do,

How about you?

First we heard Frank Kurt-Silke from NLS, National Library Service,

This you hopefully, did not miss,

Provided a Financial Report and a forecast of what is ahead,

For the Library, and recommended a book he had red.

He explained how to become a member and receive the Digital books and
mentioned that the first book was recorded 73 years ago,

That fact, did you know?.

Just heard, listeners right now, 118,

Isn't that great?

I think?

He also disclosed a fact, that the average book is 122 MB,

And, continued to talk about the plans, the future for those of us who can
not see

Mr. Kurt-Silke received an Award, all, were surprised, noone was expecting
this, from what, we could tell,

And suggested was a Novel,

Titled the Flounder", said, it would change our life, would not be the
same person, after reading , by the end of this presentation, it was noon,

Then, next was a Gentleman named Charlie Boon,

Excellent Speaker, and works in Radio,

Began over 38 years ago,

He seems down to earth and very interesting indeed

He too, recommended a book to read,

Called " Sense of the World ", a Biographical book, about James Holmen,

Known as the " blind Traveler ", born way back when,

Ten years later, after the Declaration of Independence, in 1786,

From reading the Introduction, seems like a good pick.

Now, Jonathon Mosen is speaking From FS ,not listening to him, what he
has to say,

Would rather, write a dose of the day.

Last night, we were entertained by the acts, it was Talent night, heard
it online,

Most, were very good, more then fine,

Organized by the Friends and Arts Showcase,

This Event, is definitely, not a waste,

There were a few, that were superb, marvelous, a delight

I believe, a couple acts, were the best, last night,

At least, I think, in my mind,

Feels like, this could be American Idol for the blind?

Some, are that Good, like, Kelly Clarkson

Could tell, all who had perform had fun.

Darrell and I especially liked a woman named Peggy Martinez, she sung,

We loved her style, of Cheryl Crow's "Make you Happy: is what she brung ,

She sung it enthusiastically,

Though, it was a good show, not as much so, from what we have heard on ACB

In years past,

A little over two hours, it did last.,

Its now 10;31,

And don't have really anything else to say, so, guess, this is done,

However, likely, more I will write,

Before the end of the night,

For now, you all take care, take time to appreciate all that you have, in
this Wonderful Country of hours,

And on this day off, spend some hours,

With your friends and Family,

Not just ACB,

If you can, if you desire,

And don't play with fire,

Have a Safe and Happy Holiday,

Have a great day.

Second KDd: Talent on the Interactive Station and Summary of my Evaluation

It's Tuesday July third, at 5:53,

And Darrell and I are now listening to ACB,

To Interactive, Its time for the Talent show tonight,

And just sent the First KDD for the day, to my site.

I intended to write only one,

But, I guess, more journaling for me had to be done?

More things are on my mind then I even knew,

And it manifests itself, through what I do,

Here, each day,

Through creativity, in what I say,

Utilized via my Desktop and my fingers striking the keys,

First from my brain to my hand, then everyone sees,

My inner most thoughts on my mind, that rule,

On one hand, that is cool

And on the other, I feel a sense of vulnerability,

When, disclosed are my thoughts and feelings, you see.

However, this is the tool, the outlet, that has worked best for me,

That has enabled me to be,

The person I have become, to help me thrive

And I think this will be a hobby of mine, as long as I am alive.

Anyway, this is the first day of my vacation,

And we slept-in and most of the day, listened to convention coverage on the
mainstream and interactive stations,

Heard presentations and mostly music, some of it, alright,

Waiting for the Friends and Art Showcase, to begin the Talent show tonight.

It has now begun

We always enjoy this, it is fun,

They are 15 minutes late,

As said, the talent is great,

Wish, I had talent, sing, dance, play an instrument?

Write Poetry? sculpt a piece of Art? I could pay the rent,

If, I had some real talent to do those things,

Some say, I have a gift that I am talented, in these KDD's I do bring?

I don't think so, this is not Poetry?

Even though, some of you may not agree.

The First Act is Jerry, or Slau, he is singing,

His Version of The Police, Every Breath you take, he is bringing,

To us all, those who are there live as well as the rest of us around the
world and in our nation.

He did great, Creativity, he does not lack,

And the next act,

I think was a girl named Reilly, who song "Angel "By Sarah Mc Lachlan,

If there was a contest, points she would win,

And now, there is a group, singing something, Called Paper Money,

Honestly, I don't like their singing, but the lyrics are funny.

Darrell asked me if I am going to write a KDD all night?,

Surmise, every act? in this dose , I sent to my site?

No, not at all, that will take too long maybe, the top acts? The best? who
knows?

I never know, what I will compose,

I just write line by line, do usually have a theme in mind,

Yet, it can change, I just write, to relax and unwind.

Now, there is a belly dancer, and someone is describing the moves she is
making,

And I am sure, pictures and recordings some are making?

If, you want to hear more of the show,

I am sure, there will be archives so, ACB's site, do go,

It, you will enjoy, we are.

I did not do much at all today, sleep, read/write -mail, watch TV, and talk
to a friend,

And these KDD's I did send.

That was it, nothing more, that is fine with me,

I needed to do nothing, and relax you see.

Work has been very busy and I have been stressed,

Worried about friends, so in need of rest

Yesterday, my Boss, gave me my performance Review,

I did well, says, they all appreciate everything I do,

That I have an excellent memory, well at communicating, and I follow
through,

I work well with others and can multi-task,

I do what is asked,

Of me,

And despite my blindness, that I can not see,

That I compensate quite well,

That, I am an asset to the Housekeeping department, to the Hotel,

To the Hyatt Regency Resort in Scottsdale,

That I am professional when I take calls and reply to E-mails,

Resolve issues quickly and efficiently, give anyone a hand,

Work well, even when sold out, when the hotel is in high demand,

And when our Guest have many requests,

They are pleased, said, I go above and beyond, know I am doing my best,

My Boss and others, give me much praise,

And again, I receive my annual raise,

Given by Merit, only for those, it we do deserve,

For our dedication and loyalty to the guest we serve.

It's now 7 o'clock, and I am tired

Not feeling inspired,

To write anymore today, alright?

And besides, the rest of the Show I want to listen to tonight,

Take care and tomorrow I will write,

Stay well, and have a good night.

Today's First KDD: The Long and Winding Road

It's almost 4 pm on Tuesday on July third,

Hope you all found some peace in the inspirational words,

That I sent your way,

Earlier today?

A KDD I did try to write,

But, had writers block, so, sent the net hug messages instead to my site,

Perhaps, that was better time spent?, for they were words that some of our
friends needed to here,

Friends, so close, true and so dear,

Who have felt lost, helpless and discouraged lately, not able to find a
way,

To resolve issues, cope with stress and get through the day.

Finally, after some resolution, they can see the light, have hope, and the
life's problems they were confronted with, are not as much of a heavy weight
on their chest,

Maybe now, they can sleep and get some rest?

Its during the bad times, during the trials and dark hours,

That none of us can smell the flowers,

Appreciate the good things, the gifts, that we receive each day,

The smiles, the hugs, the words of encouragement sent our way,

We don't always want to hear about others joy or here their laughter, when
in such an emotional state,

And sometimes, some of us withdraw and don't communicate,

Become a hermit, be alone, need some space and time,

Until, life is back to "normal", not until everything is fine.

So, if the net hugs message, helped any of you at all, the wonderful
sentiments,

Worthwhile, my time was spent,

And, to my blog, they, I did send,

To those who are, and who are not my friends,

Since, these messages could help someone I don't even know, that I never
met,

I know, sometimes, I find strength, encouragement, and hope on the net,

From something, I see, or read,

Written by another, that after, I have hope, and can see the sun their
messages are exactly what I sometimes need

To enable me to feel grateful, and not take life for granted,

And I cherish, what I red,

And can then, begin to get on track, back on the horse,

It's a struggle of course,

Yet, will get easier in time

Then, eventually, everything will be fine,

Furthermore, as someone had said, "we sometimes have to sit down to failure
before we can dine on success",

And, it's much better to confess,

Your sins, be honest, have ethics, morals, its best.

Moreover, during the bad times, we learn the most,

Even though, when, we find it hard to coast,

Stay awake, deal with the mundane things from day to day when, nothing
makes sense,

When, our head is spinning, want to run and everything is too intense,

Still take those risk, do what is right

You will be able to sleep better at night,

And more you will gain from your failures learn from your mistakes, more
then you may realize,

As we age, we become more wise.

And when in life's road, you find too many pot holes,

Through it all, don't lose your heart and soul,

When, the road is filled with too much dirt,

And you're feeling helpless and hurt,

Take it slow, take your time but do walk the path, you need too, you know?

It will help you grow.

Your goals you will achieve,

When yourself and others you don't deceive,

And this message is way too long, so, now, it you will receive.

Another Inspirational Message: Hello God!

Hello God, I called tonight
To talk a little while...
I need a friend who'll listen
To my anxiety and trial...

You see, I can't quite make it
Through a day just on my own...
I need your love to guide me,
So I'll never feel alone.

I want to ask you please to keep,
My family safe and sound.
Come and fill their lives with confidence
For whatever fate they're bound.

Give me faith, dear God, to face
Each hour throughout the day,
And not to worry over things
I can't change in any way.

I thank you God, for being home.
And listening to my call,
For giving me such good advice
When I stumble and fall.

Your number, God, is the only one
That answers every time.
I never get a busy signal,
Never had to pay a dime.

So thank you, God, for listening
To my troubles and my sorrow.
Good night, God, I love You, too.
And I'll call again tomorrow!

Inspirational Thoughts

Here is another Nethugs message. We all need to feel inspired, especially
when we are feelling down and helpless. Hope this lifts your spirits. Take
care.

Anger is a condition in which
the tongue works faster than the mind.

You can't change the past,
but you can ruin the present
by worrying over the future.

Love...and you shall be loved.

God always gives His best to those
who leave the choice with Him.

All people smile in the same language.

A hug is a great gift... one size fits all.
It can be given for any occasion
and it's easy to exchange.

Everyone needs to be loved...
especially when they do not deserve it.

The real measure of a man's wealth
is what he has invested in eternity.

Laughter is God's sunshine.

Everyone has beauty
but not everyone sees it.

It's important for parents to live
the same things they teach.

Thank God for what you have,
TRUST GOD for what you need.

If you fill your heart with regrets of yesterday
and the worries of tomorrow,
you have no today to be thankful for.

Man looks at outward appearance
but the Lord looks within.

The choice you make today
will usually affect tomorrow.

Take time to laugh, for it is
the music of the soul.

If anyone speaks badly of you,
live so none will believe it.

Patience is the ability to idle your motor
when you feel like stripping your gears.

Love is strengthened by working
through conflicts together.

The best thing parents can do
for their children is to love each other.

Harsh words break no bones
but they do break hearts.

To get out of a difficulty,
one usually must go through it.

We take for granted the things
that we should be giving thanks for.

Love is the only thing that can be
divided without being diminished.

Happiness is enhanced by others
but does not depend upon others.

For every minute you are angry with someone,
you lose 60 seconds of happiness
that you can never get back.

Do what you can, for who you can,
with what you have, and where you are.

Today's KDD: Fond Memories of Maine and San Diego and vacation I go

Its after 6 am on July Two
How are things?, What is new?

Last night, The Novel I did complete,
And again, today, here, we will feel the heat,
It will be 111, yes, a 3 digit day,
And here, at the Hotel, not many will stay,

Only 152 rooms occupied, 60 to arrive and only 57 to depart,
And my vacation, tonight, will start.,

As I said, it has been a stressful few weeks, and I am in need of
one,
It will be good, but maybe, not as much fun?,
nowhere, we will go.

We were hoping to go to San Diego,
On my vacation for a few days sometime,
Yet, everything is not fine,
With my Friend and God Daughter, there,
In previous KDD's a little I did share.

Ruthie, I have known since I was 3,
She began as a volunteer on my patterning program, then became my
teacher, babysitter, big Sister and friend,
My thoughts and prayers go out to her, they I do send.

I have known her my entire life, she is more like Family,
A Dear friend, a long time ago, she came to be.

Her Daughter Becky, is having some major issues right now so, not a
good time
To visit, do hope all will be fine.

We would have loved to see her and go to the beach, surf and sand,
Our favorite place you understand.

Just about every summer from age 3,until I was a teen, my family
spent on the beach then, my love for the ocean began,

I enjoy swimming and when small, would get a bronze tan,
Ran around, and constantly in the water, little did my sisters and I
did sit,
We thought nothing of it
The water being freezing cold, to the touch,
Very tranquil, I miss it so much.

Oh, well, will go some other time, maybe, September? Or this year not
at all?
Many fond memories there in San Diego and in Maine as a youngster I do
recall,

I am one with the sea,
There is a part of me,
When, I die, that would love to be cremated you see,
Have my remains scattered, some on the pacific and the rest on the
Atlantic,
I am a Jersey Girl, but, live here in the West, I know, that is morbid
and sick,
And not sure, if that I will do,,
Haven't thought about it , all the way through,
Some of you know, I have issues with death and dying, this is true.

Enough of all this,
The beach I do miss,
Maybe, up north, a trip we will be able to take?
And, right now, I am sitting here, trying to awake,,

Perhaps, we will go to Denver on my vacation?
And are you listening to the convention on the interactive station?
If, we can get a decent flight and a good deal we can find,
Just want to relax and unwind.

Well, its almost time, for my shift to begin, so I should go, get on
my way,
Do, hope you all have a good day,
And those of you going through hard times, your in my thoughts and
prayers, hope all will be alright,
And maybe, later today, I will write?,
Take good care,
Hang in there.

Today's KDd: Holdem and foldem?

Its Sunday July one at 7;02,
How are things?, how are you?

Last night, much sleep, I did not get,
It was not because I was surfing on the net,
Not much time at all on the computer, I did spend,
Nor, talked on the phone with friends.

After Dinner, For a short time our stationery bike I rode,
With a bottle of water in one hand and the book port in the other,, I
red, not in writing mode,
Did not read much mail or new Kdd's I did not create,
Red more of my novel had flavored water and discussions and debates.

Dean Koontz always seems to have more then one Theme or element, if
you have red his books, you will agree,
There not just filled with SCI FI, but with Drama, Romance and
Mystery.

These kind of novels are excellent, the best,
But, once you begin, don't count on getting much rest.
One can easily become enthralled, and he captures his audience
The plots, keep his readers in suspense,
And on the edge of their seat, the story, the characters, one can
not leave,
Makes one think, and a moral to the story, the reader does receive

This Novel, " by the Light of the Moon", you should read
He plants a seed,
One reflects on what they reed.

In this particular novel, a mad scientist injects a substance that
alters the brains and personality ,
Of the 3 main Characters you see,
Things such as nanno technology are mentioned and after this, each has
special powers that are unique,
And into their psyche , we get a peek,
and their lives are on the line and they are on the run,
Last night, I red until one.

Often Koontz Characters have issues related to time and space,
Find themselves in another dimension
Things, like time travel, fascinate me, capture my attention
And though, I really don't want to know my fate,
, I want to wait,
There is a part of me, that would like to travel into the future, and
the past, you see,
Alter my life and change some things about me?

However, if I was born into a different family
I'd, not be me,
For obvious reasons, my Chromosomes and genes would not at all be
the same,
I may be a boy of course with a different name,

However, My brain would not have been patterned when I was very
small,
I could also, have been a blonde and quite tall?
And if I did not go through the patterning for several years,
I'd likely have multiple disabilities ,issues and fears?

If I did not have The exercises, as long as I did,
I'd not have the same experiences as a kid,
I'd not be who I am today and now the person I came to be,

I'd not be me.

If I knew my fate and could alter it back then,
Perhaps when I was 10,
Adjustments I'd possibly make?
Then, a very different path I would take,?

Perhaps medical school, I'd pursue?
Become a doctor, if you could control your fate, what would you do?

For the most part I like who I am, yet, not as intelligent as some,
Yet, I certainly am not dumb,
I am not beautiful, just a plain Jane
Do have creative thoughts in my brain,
And things like KDD's I do compose,
Some say, I have a big nose,

And though, I don't think I am very smart,
I know, I am kind, have compassion and have a heart.

Furthermore, I don't really want to change much about myself and go
back in time,
And alter this life of mine.
For, I would not have met such wonderful people, throughout my life,
Have a great family, friends and Darrell, would not be your wife.

A few extra special people I have come to know
Have had an impact on me, help me to grow.

So, I would not change a single thing, I suppose
And this dose for you I compose.

This KDd, took a completely different direction,
Was not at all my intention
The ideas, did just flow,,

I need to go,
have work to get done
and today, Recreation will make it fun,
for our Guests, here at the Resort,
Tennis Lessons for those who enjoy the sport,

Later in the day,
One can play,
Beach blanket Bingo or ping pong,
This time, they do not have a family sing along,

Also, in the day, they will have face painting and temporary tattoos,
Or you can get a sweet Sundae if you choose.

These are special activities for the Holiday,
And from what I heard, not many yesterday, did play,
Musical chairs, nor don't know, how many saw the movie,
But, we think many will be
At the " Texas Holdem",, a poker game on Tuesday,
If you like to gamble and cards you play,
Then, this activity could have been for you,
There are other activities this week too.
For lunch today they are serving us employees,
Pasta primavera, meat Lasagna and Soup, Broccoli cheese,
Here at the Hotel, will not be a busy day,
By the end of my work day,
Only 238 Rooms occupied
And today, I will not have to take Dial-a-ride,
A friend is driving me home, so earlier I will arrive,
Pleasant is the drive,
Do hope your all well, doing okay?
still trying to wake up, have a good day.
